So what should you do? Keep your travellers cheques in the hotel safe and some of your notes? Plus, some cash in your room and some in your pocket?

The addition of T.C wont help. if plastic /cash disappear so will the T.C.

Normally I would agree. I don't use them anymore but Phil seems to need this security blanket of getting them replaced immediatly if they get knicked.

Somewhere like Norway, or Austria or Italy or Switerland.

Maybe Germany or Spain (but only somewhere anyway from all the drunks)

not if you keep them in the hotel safe then you can't get them pick pocketed.

I like Italian food.

I think Spain is nice and I have always been interested in the SPainish civil war, but the Spanish hate the British as they are so rude and drunk, so it might be best to go somewhere else.
