I think I would rather stop with Western Europe countries. I think Warsaw Pact countries could be a bit unsafe.

I have been told if you go on the ferry to Rottadamn that is cheap but they have no mountains in Holland do they?

What about Belgium? The Ardennes area is supposed to be very nice.
