Well , if you go , great , but don't you think you're trying to run before you can walk so to speak? You've talked about how hard you find it to go to new places and I can totally empathise with that , so why don't you start off with a weekend somewhere closer to home?

I see nothing wrong in going to Scoland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man either.

All lovely places although i've only been to Scotland (sis lives there) and Guernsey (brother used to live there) , but OH has been to Isle of Man and liked it. Actually my elder daughter is going to the IOM in a couple of weeks or so and as she is going with a married couple she could do with a companion
