travel insurance

I know this is a thick person's question.

Like say if you go on holiday and your bag gets lost or you get robbed, do you have to wait until you get home to claim?

I can't see how you can claim when you are on holiday because your insurer wouldn't be able to send you the money fast enough.

I shouldn't worry about getting robbed, Cleethorpe's crime rate is surprisingly low.

Take no notice SP, if you lose your bags, you have to report it to someone at the time (phone the insurance company and they will tell you what to do) they will probably tell you if you think its been stolen get a crime number from the police.
okay. (and its not a thick persons question, it was a question that lots of people wouldnt know the answer to.

Why do you lot pick on SP as soon as he appears?

Thanks!Okay, so then what happens? Your insurer agrees to pay and then you have to wait 4 or 5 days for a cheque or travellers cheque to come via airmail?

So you could be left for many days with no clothes or no money.

It seems no one really knows. I wouldn't go on holiday unless I knew if I needed my insurance it could help me quickly.
