    Your insurer can arrange for you to be sent funds or new cards through organisations like Western Union, normally within 24 hours. The world's a small place these days.

    You know of all these scams in this country people setting up chip and pin machines to steel your card numbers and pin. So who knows what scams they have going on in other countries. I wouldn't ever use a bank card abroad unless I knew it only had a very small amount on it like 200 quid.
