This is a good deal at the moment.
Theres that deal on 3 now with a lg u300 for £17.50 a month Direct Texter 1400
Go through quidco to get £80 off
So it works out at £13.05 a month, then if u get referals at £30 a time, quids in
1000 texts
300 anytime
50 pic messages
50 min vid calls
30mb internet a month
£5 free downloads a month
free msn
FREE 512mb MicroSD memory card
It's a good offer though, but I hope it doesn't end up costing me more to replace the phone in a few months time.0 -
I did this for my daughter the other day. It's only tracking £55 for Quidco. She says the phone is HUGE and it didn't do well in reviews.

Keep an eye on it, or query it.
The phones go for £40-50 on ebay, id sell it, and buy a 3 phone off there a sony z610i or something, would only be a small difference.0 -
I am considering possibly moving to 3 from T-Mobile and am thinking about getting the 18 month texter tariff - 100 minutes and 1000 texts for life (£20). I had a 25% on my T-Mobile "for life" but now I am ready to upgrade I have found out that I will lose my discount if I change the phone - hardly reasonable to expect you to never change the phone.
Anyway - I don't know anyone on the 3 network and I am just a bit wary about joining them. Reading the posts here seem to be 50/50 as to whether they are reliable or not.
My other option in the 02 Online 25 texter tariff (200 mins / 400 texts) for £25 - should I play it safe and pay the extra with 02?
Any advice would be appreciated. P.S. I live in Rochdale, it says coverage should be ok, has anyone got any experience of using 3 in this area?0 -

How can they possibly know that you have put the sim in an unlocked handset of another phone?? Me thinks they are pulling youre little leggies...:rotfl:My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
In theory they could know, because the phone transmits its IMEI to the network.
But I think the point is not about using a different phone, it's about getting a new phone from the network.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
They could not stop you using another handset, unless you were using it for say business on a personal tarrif. If they tried on the basis that you were using an alternative handset to the one provided, it is very likely that the court would deem this an unfair contract, especially if you could prove the old phone was defective, as you would not be able to use a service you were paying for.
I get fed up with these sorts of pseudo-legal clap trap you see in contracts that are unenforcable.
Whilst I am on my pet subject.....Stores that say No Credit / Debit cards under £5/£10 - That is a breach of their licence agreement with VISA / Mastercard - But they get away with it all to often. They are allowed to charge you a handling fee but not refuse your payment on these grounds.
Sorry just my little rant for today....:mad:My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -

Hi Guys,
I have a mobile contract for 18 months. I am not happy with that and the company doesn't give me any chance to downgrade or end the contract. I called them four times to discuss about this, but the only option which they have is paying until end. I really want to end the contract now. I have insurance as well. Just want to know, what will happen if I cancel my direct debit and get rid of that contract?
What type of legal action they may take? Or do they really do anything as they have an insurance to claim? Please help me to get rid of this trap.
Thanks, in Advance.0 -
I fear you'd probably end up with a CCJ against you. It would be easy for them to do this.something missing0

Aren't there some companies that "buy" your contract off you, or something? Otherwise, look carefully at the T&Cs and if you can prove that they are breaking any of them, the breach of contract is theirs and you have the right to terminate.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
