hello, hope this is the right place to ask... i just got a contract sim card from 3, but wish to use my old handset as i got it only two months ago. it seems that 3 sim is not working with any other phone than 3's. happened to anyone? i tried all the phones in the house (unlocked) and nothing, "insert a card" always appears on the screen and that's it :-( if you have similar experiance, please let me know. cheers ;-)

I presume none of your other phones are third generation network (3G) capable.

I've just renewed my contract with 3 after being with them for 1 year.

I got a Nokia E65 with 500min 150 texts for £22/month.

I'm kinda happy with the deal but you really need to check the details of what you are getting. I was told I could use the internet with my phone as it was an X Series handset but you HAVE to buy the X series add-on.

I'm going to make a formal complaint as I believe their website is misleading. If you go to http://www.three.co.uk/xseries/what_is_x_series.omp it suggest that the Internet Unlimited package is free and the other two packages cost £5/£10 respectively.

If anyone has any tips/suggestions about making a complaint ( ASA? Trading Standards?) let me know.

Be careful when negotiating with 3, they have a very slick operation but you can get stung if you don't read the small print.

As of two weekends ago I got a signal going down the M74, lost it briefly after turning off at the Abbington Services, but got it back again in Dumfries itself and on the way across to the West. I didn't got to the extremities of D&G though!

The three web-site has a map thing that lets you check signal availability

Have had a 3 phone for 3 years and the reception has been fantastic and the service good.......UNTIL.....

Last month my bill showed 28 calls to theire directory/international directory enquiry service at a cost of £50+. International directory was shown to be called 5 times in one minute with call duration times adding up to 60 seconds, which does not allow for the call to be dialed?? I have queried the bill and 3 claim the calls were made, and I know they were not made. International Directory call charge is £1.91 per call..

Anyone have any suggestions how I can get my money refunded....I have never used thier directory or international directory services...help ...please:eek:
