Were they offering a handset with this? And how much per month do you pay over the standard subscription (i.e. how valuable a customer to them are you)?
I wish they'd include 30MB of internet access per month like they did a year ago. Perhaps that's something you could ask for when bargaining with them? It's great to check emails occasionally or resolve disputes in the pub!Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
whats the best handset currently on 3?0

For info: I am a low user with a 6280. For renewal, they are offering me a 6288 (which seems to be effectively a 6280 with a memory card) with 500 mins/100 texts for £15 a month (didn't ask how long the contract is though). Alternatively, no handset but 300 mins/150 texts plus 25 video minutes plus 25 picture messages plus £5 downloads for £5 a month. They wouldn't budge on the internet access - I'd pay the normal add-on price of £5 a month for that.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

as a three customer for 2 years now....i have been offered
N73 on 500mins/100texts for £20 pm 12mth contract
or keep my existing 6288 and pay £10mth same tariff as above with £30 credit for 12mth.
If i change network how can i unlock my 6288?0 -
You call Three and pay them £15 I think, during the last month of your contract with that phone. I believe it's impossible to unlock that phone any other way.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

I have two 3 contracts through phones4U which I took out last August on a cashback offer. I get 400 txts, 200 mins, £5 worth of downloads and internet access for £10 per month for the first 12 months and then £35 for the last 6 months. I got double the txts and mins for the first few months also. I have been quite happy with it but now that i am due to start paying £35 per month I want out. When i first took the contracts out I was told that after 12 months Phones4U would buy me out of the contract and put me on a cheaper deal. Now that the time is coming up I am wondering whether they will keeo to their word? Also I don't really want another cash-back offer because there is a disclaimer that they can withdraw the cashback at any time so I am always worrying about whether I will actually get the cashback. I also don't want another deal where you pay one price for so long but then you pay more. I would be very grateful for any advice on how is the best way to get out of these contracts before i start paying £35/month each without getting tied into another cash-back offer but at the lowest price possible0

If you want to leave might be better to bite the bullet, pay up till the end of contract, then you are free to go?Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0 -

A month or so ago you could get both but they changed the refer a friend to a site that was different to the one linked through quidco . the quidco link didnt have the section to put your friends number, only the refer a friend link had that.
So how did you get both, cheers.0
