Handset: Nokia 6280
Used: London
 3 don't offer true GPRS so I can't connect my tomtom via bluetooth for traffic updates
 Nokia smart phones can only be unlocked by 3 and they will not do it, unless you are in the last month of your contract
 You can not use you cross network minute allowance to dial abroad for free:mad:
 They have a ring fenced internet, meaning you can only get downloadable content from them at rip off prices:mad:
Cheap contracts deals on face value, stung like a queen bee :eek:0 -
Been on 3 for 18 months now. I’ve got just 2 problems with them:
Still waiting for my free bluetooth;
I’ve got my roaming activated 40 days after I asked them to do so;0 -

Sorry to appear stupid! but my son wants this phone:
http://threestore.three.co.uk/offerdetails.aspx?offercode=18DS14OL72
He currently has a PAYG with a Genie simcard (he tops it up once a month at £10 and gets £10 credit and 300 text messages).
Is it a good offer? Better than he has?
Quidco are also offering £75 cashback.
Should I go for it? Any help much appreciated:hello:0 -
I have just moved to this tarriff, and find it excellent value, i also used to have a genie sim, but found calloing mobiles expensive, depending on what network, where with this deal you can ring any network without worrying. Plus you get way more texes and calls, even after six months when the tariff goes to 300mins and 1000 text it still beats genies sim in terms of value. If you dont mind the finacial commitment and your son is a heavy user (and wants a new phone
) go for it!

I was with Three for a year, last year. I would rate them as excellent for customer service, call quality/reliability, and coverage.
Am now coming to an end with my O2 contract, and they have been dire on all the above counts. If they offered me a 12 month free contract, I wouldnt stay with them. Three, please have me back!! I'm sorry for leaving! (twas just for the funky new phone!)0 -
id just like to ay that i no longer think three are that cheap, ive been with them for 1 year, its all been fine, recommended, but i need a new contract and there offers at the moment are too hot. O2 seem to be the best option at the moment with 400 mins 100 texts available from £10 to £80 depending on the phone with a 12month contract and quidco.
but if anybody has found some good offers on three stick them up id be happy to take another contract with them.0 -
One problem I've found with Three - their net access is not fully open, so you can't automatically upload pictures to Shozu.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

sorry if this has been posted before, just to highlight my experiences with 3:
*majority of the phones available are really bulky and lets face it ugly!! the most decent ones probably launched are the N70 and nokia 6280.
* have these great deals with 1200 minutes and 800 texts for £22.50 a month. what they dont tell you is that after 6 months you drop to 600 minutes and 400 texts, but you pay £45.00, and cannot change yor tariff for a further 3 months.
* what is with their adverts?
* all their customer service stations are in Bombay. that is not me being out of order, it is genuine, and the calls can get confusing and heated as there is a language barrier.
in my opinion they are competition with the deals they offer, but i would rather go for a network that hasn't been slated as much as these, even though they are trying. id choose orange above 3 anyday!!:TThe places i have been so far: Palma, Tunis, Rome, Corsica, St.Raphael, Naples, Pompeii, Barcelona, Villefranche, Ajaccio, Livorno, Genoa, Madiera, Martinique, St Maartens, St Kitts, St Vincents, Dominica, Barbados, Antigua, Tortola, Jealous anyone????? :T0
