3 is no longer the cheapest, several companies now offer cash backs schemes on other networks

I'm currently with three and have been using the cash back service via onestopphoneshop which I've used for 2 years now, with no problems.

I'm looking to change my phone in September and can't find any cash back deals with other providers that are cheaper than 3, please can you point me in the right direction.

I'm happy to stay with three, but if as you say I can get a better deal elsewhere then I'll gladly change!

I have to say I am really impressed with '3'. I've contacted them on many occassions, especially when I first took out the contract, they have gone out of their way to provide the information I needed, if it wasnt to hand they called me back within 2-3 minutes.

One guy was on another floor and couldnt get through to the department we wanted so he took my number, walked downstairs got the info, then called me back with it.

I even like the tone of their correspondence, far less aggressive than my previous provider and appear grateful for you custom (which is unheard of these days). The PAC change over was seemless and I am pleased I made the change to 3.

Granted if you speak with their Indian call centre (and you're not always diverted to India) you do have to be a little more patient than usual, but at £15 a month for 1000 texts and 5 hours any time any network I'm happy to do so.

p.s - I get the impression the whole changing network thing is smoother if you go direct to the provider rather than through suppliers i.e. Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4U etc.

Just my experience but may be something in it.

I have been with 3 for last 9 months no prob whatsoever with signal or reliability. If you dont like it move 2 another network and pay over the odds for tariffs!!
  • Handset: the flip one lg sumthing or other

Most commonly used location: cheadle stoke-on-trent (home)

Ease and reliability and connection: poor to laughable had to stand on the football pitch on the park!

Any other problems: customer service was rude, hard to understand took a while to get through to, unhelpful, uniformative... shall i go on?

Overall service and rating (out of 10): does not even deserve a rating i would never use 3 again even if it was between them and 2 cups and a bit of string!

and whilst i am at it shall i pay off my loans and all the 3rd world debt. have you thought that maybe people cant afford to pay it off in one lump sum and maybe a network provider should have some responsability to make sure their customers can at least use the basic functions of their phones?
