yes 'video talk and text 700'. they dont broadcast it because they want you to have higher contract and like all networks get used to your minutes and thus stay on it; as indeed a big enough percentage of customers do to make it worth while!
    its called business baby!!:wall:

Video&Talk&Text 700 is just as prominent instore as all the higher tariffs. Three's staff are not trained to con their customers. In fact, they are trained to sell the customer what they need, not what the company would like them to have.

This is of course different for companies like The Link and especially phones4u, who are fond of applying add-ons to contracts to increase their commission (without informing the customer!)

    Handset: Nokia N70

Most commonly used location: Oxford and sometimes Bristol

Ease and reliability and connection: Excellent, had no problems.

Any other problems: More problems with Carphone Warehouse than 3!

Overall service and rating (out of 10): 8

I really like 3's "My 3" browser section on their mobile site. The only thing annoying is that you can't use WAP unless you have an Add on.

I have a contract with 3.. talk 600 (500 xnet mins, 100 txts) £30 a month. It's great. I got the handset free, luckily because by the time I received it after all the problems I had with Carephone Warehouse.. the handset had gone up to £50.. but as I had ordered beforehand I still managed to get the handset free :D

My boyfriend went to a 3 mobile phone shop today and bought a Nokia 6280. Not long after setting it all up, a message came up saying "phone restricted, enter code". He phoned up the help line, and the lady advised him to take it back to the shop, and says they will exchange it for another new one. So we'll see what happens

update; he took the phone back to the shop, and they exchanged it for a new one straight away. Great customer service.

3 is no longer the cheapest, several companies now offer cash backs schemes on other networks

Also their customer service is hopeless

Yeah but you have to purchase a product with them first. Nothing is free :)

Not correct! You only have to SWAP or purchase. If you got a cheaper quote on say, your life policy, you would actually MAKE money on the deal.

    Handset: Nokia N80
    Used Loc: UK - Lancs
    Reliablity: Fantastic
    Problems: None
Rating: 8/10 - because they ask for £150 to unlock your phone.

    I'm on talk and text 600 - 500 mins + 100txt. For me it's free for 12 months via cahsback + £50 cash + Nokia 6630 - which I sold for £100 so really £150 cash.

Alot of people think that 3 have bad reception. But that is not true. Any where you can receive O2 reception you can make and receive calls using 3.

BUT 3G reception is not widely avaivable. This measn that you cannot use video calling - or watch the footy hightlights for free & use all the other free services that the 3G service provides.

But calling/texting the reception is the same as other networks. So in reality for those of you that only call/text it does not make any difference.
