UPDATE!!!
Clubmobile trying to wriggle out of final cashback on basis that I needed to send a bill showing "prompt payment" for month 12's line rental before end of 12th month.
Impossible as 3 take direct debits "at least 10 working days" after bill date!
Be careful if you are tempted by a clubmobile deal!!!Fiscally responsible or just a tight git? :

ethel bloggs-if you dont pay your bill they may well, they have the right im afraid, to ccj you or at least your credit record will suffer. they dont deserve that amigo do they?!
3's coverage is the same as all the other networks at around 97% and piggybacks o2 as indeed all networks piggyback some else, for a considerable fee. thus if you can get an o2 signal you can get 3.HOWEVER understandably o2 will give priority to their own customers in times of peak demand hence 'dropped calls' ; its as ruthless as that. however all networks operate the same way, just have different reciprical agreements.
re cashback deals- a lot of customers get juiced with companies that offer this and dissapear etc etc.remember always -'' life shrinks or expands in proportion to ones courage''0 -
back again!
THE BEST WAY to squeeze money out of a phone company is via three. sign up for 'video talk and text 1100 = 1000 mins and 150 txt for £30 pmnth on 6 month half price then on 6th when due to double ring and ask to drop to t+t 700 = 400 mins/250 txts = £20 p/mnth !! its your right but they dont broadcast it!!remember always -'' life shrinks or expands in proportion to ones courage''0 -
Had 3 for a year (ended October) Signal was OK (East Sussex) LG8120 handset complete pants (died 2 months after end of contract)
But Customer Service was what made me move. Offshore call centre completely useless when it came to anything other than routine enquiry.
Went back to Vodaphone on a x network 200 deal sim only plus 250 text at £10 a month. Had to haggle up thru several people to get it but persistance always pays off.Never trust a smiling cat0 -
Anyone know if this is possible. I'm currently on talk and text 600 , 500 chat 100 text £30 a month. Having just recently reduced my tariff from 750 mins a month as my bills were averaging £45 a month. My contract ends in JULY, now i see there are some brilliant deals around, IE no line rental for 12 months etc, obviously its a good few months away, but if i get a poor offer from 3 to keep my custom, will it be possible to port my number onto a PAYG phone with them or another network, for a short period of time and then return to 3 taking my number back for one of these amazing cheap deals. Is this possible?0

Handset: Nokia 6280
Most commonly used location: Lincolnshire
Ease and reliability and connection: Not yet found a location with no signal
Any other problems: None at all
Overall service and rating (out of 10):
So far so good.... I changed from Virgin last week, as a result of the offer of this fab new phone, 600 texts and 75 minutes any network per month - for £20 (18 mth contract) but the first 6 months at £10 per month. The service has been very good, the phone is great. I particularly like the fact that you can keep track of your minutes/texts used through the phone's web browsing facility for free.
I'm not really interested in video calls, so the lack of 3G service everywhere isn't really an issue, although it would be nice to be able to access the TV news clips from anywhere.
Overall though - I'd thoroughly recommend Three - it's saved me £20 per month, I've got a fab new phone, and new facilities like free TV news to watch on my phone.0 -
Had a 3 phone for nearly 6 months now.
Using a Nokia 6630. Continual problem with dropped calls. Call centre couldn't help much.
Cheap, but poorer quality product in my opinion
Now that the offers from 3 seem less attractive than a few months ago, can't see much point to joining them, especially as you can get some very good offers on the other networks0 -
No problems at with 3 !, infact I hestate to move networks especially when I notice the problems friends have with other networks (especially TMobile)
great value for money, fairly good customer services and great reception0 -

SKIPPY wrote:I've just been on the three website looking for the above offer for Text and Talk 700 the only '700' one I can see is Video, Text & Talk at £35.00 or half price for 3 months if you take out another 12 month contract. Is there another package they offer but don't advertise. I'm currently on Talk & Text 600 at £30 per month but don't use all the minutes and texts so would like something in between as Talk & Text 200 doesn't have enough free minutes
Video Talk & Text 350 has 200 free mins. Video Talk & Text 750 has 400 mins. As far as I'm aware, all the deals are advertised (I work for 3 and I'm not aware of any "secret" deals). Wouldn't be good business practice if they didn't advertise their deals that are way better than competitors!0
