3 are an absolute joke. Their coverage is terrible and customer services (entirely based in India) are a waste of time.

This link shows the coverage for each network across the UK. Look at the coverage for 3 compared to 02 or Vodaphone. It's ridiculous.

You have to remember that the coverage map actually shows 2G coverage also for Vodafone & O2. If you compare the 3G coverage then Three3 are not very different...

hi folks got a nokia 6630 through e2save, on the three network.
500 x network mins 100 texts, if all goes well with cashback etc and quidco discount its going to cost about £5-6 a month, which is pretty good.
the phone is fine, makes calls n texts pics thatll do me. reception etc.. seems fine based in glasgow and all calls in and around glasgow so far so good.
  • Hi Dandare

Am so fed up with Orange, was trying to renew my contract and get a better deal, but they aren't in the least bit interested! Basically they have now told me I would get a better deal going elsewhere! Even got a better deal signing up as a new customer with Orange, but they won't let me port my number over.

So have touted around for a new contract and 3 seems the best on offer. E2save say they had problems initially but are now sorted, so they look like the best deal! O2 are the next best offer. But what I would really like to know is it worth giving 3 a go, am in Norwich! and would only take a Nokia, the 6630 or the 6680 are on offer, but that's because I am only qualified to use a Nokia!! Would I be cutting my nose to spite my face changing networks, the deal is 500 xnet + 100 text 10mths @ £4.99 2mths @ £30.99 pm on 6630 or same mins and text 7mths @ £4.99 & 5mths @ £30.99pm on 6680

    Anyone who can help!

Can you tell me where you found this deal? I'm in Great Yarmouth, on Vodaphone at the moment with a contract offering 1000 minutes and 50 texts for around £18 a month. BUT the 1000 minutes are only to landlines or other Vodaphones, and just evenings and weekends.

https://www.e2save.com or .co.uk and then select three network.
i dont know about changing networks this was my first phone, well the burds, she got sold the exact same deal by phones 4 u but it came in at about £17 a month so we cancelled that with all the grief that goes with it and went to e2save, there are probably better deals out there but i read that folk on this site had received there cashback etc.. so went with e2save think they are connected to cpw so more chance of them not closing down? maybe!!! i also went for the nokia 6630 instead of the 6680 cause its cheaper, i not to fussed with the fangly gadgetry that you can get on phones.
can i phone and text, and its cheap. ill have it.
although dont totally go with that as i read the lg phones on 3 are !!!!e, stick to nokia.
  • I found this deal with E2save
  • Handset: Nokia 6680

Most commonly used location: Central & South London

    Ease and reliability and connection:
Signal fluctuates far more than previous T-Mobile, ie. signal will jump from 0 bars to 4 or 5 and vice versa. Also have regularly heard squelching/distortion sound when dialling and also during the call itself. Have also the connection has repeatedly dropped out on average once in every ten calls. Yes, it’s cheap but is already starting to annoy me after three weeks. Plus sod’s law dictates that it will always play up when you’re on an important call.

Any other problems: On two occasions I have had a break down in communication due to being unable to understand the off-shore customer service advisor. Again frustrating.

Overall service and rating (out of 10): 3/10 – cheap, but not a lot of bang for your buck.

I've just changed my tariff from talk and text 600 to Online 1400. This new tariff provides 300 mins, 1000 sms, 50 UK video call minutes, 50 UK picture or video messages and £10 of content downloads for the first 3 months, then £5 thereafter. This is all for £30 a month.
Incidently, I rang up to change tariff, spoke to an english girl, who was helpful and the tariff was changed as promised.

Six months ago I bought a couple of contracts on £40pm with cashback. Now that six months are up I tried to downgrade to the lowest traiff. They say that I an only move down one step at a time. The lowest tariff offered was £30. After 1 month I can downgrade again to £20.

I don't recall reading this at the time. Are they right in insisting on this?
