When my mobile was on the blink I called them on 01628 765 000 and asked for Customer Services, much cheaper than 0870, although free for me, as I get free calls from my landline.0 -
Thanks for letting me know that number, I also get free landline calls if it's a geographical STD code. If I contact them again I will use that instead. I am putting everything in writing now though, they infuriate me so much trying to get them to help over the phone (and I want to keep copies of what's been done/said!!).

Update on mine is excellent coverage as O2, no dropped calls and signal everywhere I have wanted it. Still no reply about the WAP though, they warned me email reponse was going to be slow to be fairWycombe Till I Die0

call quality so far seems okay. Network customer service seems good and got thro staright away.
phone is a bit bulky but jas many good features....but the video quality is poor.

I got my Nokia 7600 about 11 months ago.
It took a while getting used to so I would give that 8/10
Three network is absolutely rubbish , that applies to every aspect of them..coverage is rubbish, customer services is rubbish, mainly because it is based somewhere abroad ( at leaset that is the only reason I can think of , why the staff can not understand what you are on about) probably India
I am now looking to change over to another network anyone alse but NOT three.
Do not be persuaded by their brilliant offers
I got my Nokia 7600 on a £4.99 per month for a year with there 500 X network anytime plus 100 texts. I never got anywhere near using the quota up, because the calls I made just kept cutting off all the time.
The areas I tried to use it and experienced problems were Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Devon, Dorset, South Wales, Manchseter and probably a few others I can not remember
Three you are awarded a big fat Zero out of 10
I can not wait for a more reliable network0 -
Nokia 7600 on 12 months contract free with CPW
First 3 months 1/2 price from 3 (plus cashback from CPW for the rest)
The first month was...
...one day long.
The months must be shorter in India.
I've been lucky with the coverage so far though except 1 day in Cornwall where I had no coverage. Full signal from Orange though.0 -
Hi, ive got several phones with 3 and so do other member of the family. Never experienced any of the problems mentioned here. Call quality seems very good (somtimes can be a slight echo, but not really a problem). Customer services (although foreign) have never given any problems and are always polite.
I think most people just expect or pounce on any problems they have with 3....its all in the mind simply because of the reputation.....0 -
I've been with 3 for a nearly a year now. I have had little problem with coverage (live in Shropshire) and it is far better than O2, which did not give me a signal at home. My only gripe was with the LG8120 handset, which had to be replaced as it died on me one day (this is a very common fault with this particular handset. When the courier came to exchange the handset he said it was not uncommon for them to pick up 4000 of these handsets in a day!!)
3 have offered me an upgrade on the Sony K608i on the talk and text 600 tariff. The new contract is over 18 months (but you can come out of it after 12 months) 3 give you half price line rental for the first 3 months and then a cash back at month 12 which equates to a line rental per month of £9.99 over the 12 month period.
Overall I can not really fault them and will take up their upgrade offer mentioned above. I guess I have been lucky compared to other posters on this thread!!0 -
Handset: Nolia 6630
CPW deal at £3.99 month after cashbacks (500 x/net mins + 100 texts)
Most commonly used location: North Notts, along M1 j28 - 26 and Derbyshire
Ease and reliability and connection: Has been great. 3G all the time, no dropped calls or loss of service. Previously on PAYG with Virgin - which meant almost no signal at home! Pleased to say 3 has 100% coverage where we live.
Any other problems: None
Overall service and rating (out of 10): Have not needed to contact CS, but have registered online to monitor usage, and this is very useful. 10/100 -
Handset: LG U8110 - completely hassle free phone, doddle to use
Most commonly used location: Nottingham
Ease and reliability and connection: Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Signed up for a 12 month cashback deal with Chatterbox (although it took them ages to send the 6 month cashback dosh) on the VideoTalk 500 package. Once the 12 months were up, went down to the Video Talk 100 package + 100 texts (£20 pm). Ported my number over from T Mobile without any hassle and transfer went very smoothly. Telephone reception is excellent, and switches over automatically to O2 when no 3G signal present. Overall, very happy.
Any other problems: None really - whilst the Customer Service team is in India, I have always been treated very politely by them, and have had no significant communication problems
Overall service and rating (out of 10): I have to say 9 out of 10 - the minus one is for barring outgoing calls because I was a few days late paying a bill, but that's my own fault, not 3's0
