Can anyone shed some light as to whether the calls to voicemail are included in the inclusive minutes???

Yes, Calls to Voicemail are deducted from inclusive minutes.
  • I hate 3. Just divorced them - gonna get reacquainted with Voda.
  • and I just divorced them after 12 months, gonna mail their CEO Bob Fuller and just rant about how bad they are too.
  • I have the LG8110 - yes it is good that I get 500 mins every month - I tend to use what minutes I have left on home calls, instead of landline. I find the service very poor, calls being droped regular. Spoke to 3 about many problems they just dont seem interested.

How did you get your sim card to work on another phone? or is it a 3 payg which you bought? As far as I knew, you can't use a 3 sim in any other non 3 phone which is a pain cos the car has a nokia 6310 kit fitted which I'd prefer to be using.

    Any suggestions?
Yes, t'was a 3 PAYG phone. Just wish I'd boxed clever and got it as my original phone, rather than that useless LG8120...

Is the LG8120 the phone that featured on BBC Watchdog a few weeks ago when they reported on 3's poor service? Not that anyone needs to tell me about 3's service as I have had 11 ½ months of it with an NEC 616. Now on the final days of the 3 contract and looking for a new contract find that no other network comes close to their tariff. A salesman from Phones4u assured me that the LG8138 hangs onto calls and works great on the 3 network. I'm almost tempted to take a new contract out with 3 using the LG8138 or a Nokia 6630, have always found that Nokias are pretty good at hanging onto calls in areas where coverage is poor. And if I find that the salesman from Phones4u is telling Porky Pies then return the phone to 3 under their customer satisfaction 14 day return policy rather than suffer another year of dropped calls.
  • I've never been on 3 before but am tempted by the unbelievable offers! I'm thinking about getting the new Nokia 6630 which is meant to be a quality phone and you can alledgelly manually put the phone onto 2G rather than roaming on 3G to avoid the drop out on phone calls. Has anyone bought the phone and how have they found it?

Good point tmr1980, that's something the guy at phones4U didn't tell me. If someone can confirm that this can be done it will be very helpful and report on the reliability of the calls made from the Nokia 6630 on 3?

Ive used Three for a few hours now (after having it a week), and have got to stick up for them. I have mostly used it in/around Leeds/Bradford and Birmingham, and all the areas in between. Most of the time 3g coverage has been in the top 75-100% coverage. Call quality is miles better than T-Mobile, and I’ve got no major complaints.

The 3g facilities such as browsing videos and checking how many minutes/calls you have left that month are unreliable at peak times, but I didn’t really buy the phone to download videos so it doesent bother me at all. Voice calls are good which is what Im mainly after.

I am however moving to an in-between area next month so am looking for a way to lock the phone down to 2g permanently to avoid any roaming problems that other users report.

I suspect that other users in the same areas as me report poor coverage down to the handsets they use, I did read peoples comments shortly after signing the contract and it did concern me somewhat. Since then my worries have proven to be unfounded.

My advice would be to try the network out, and if it isn’t for you return it under the 7 or 14 day return periods!

Hi DMDz pleased to read that you are happy with 3, wondered what handset you are using? I agree that call quality is excellent when in range. Now in the final days of my contract with 3 and soon to be switched off cannot find any other network to match 3's cross network deals so looks like after a year of complaining I will sign up to a new contract with 3. What handset are you using and how is the battery time? Thanks Jeff
