My other half has been on 3 for a few years with a £15 lifetime discount from a dispute sometime ago. we purchased a contract phone on 3 for our daughter as she was going to uni and with the free 3 to 3 calls it made sense.

However we recently found out they have been allocating calls to my daughter in her call allowance and we spent sometime on the phone calmly discussing, then furiously discussing that the calls between these phones should not be allocated in sany of the call allowance. anyway after sometime e should be getting a refund of all calls that have been charged to her mins off the next bill.
  • I'm on 3 paug, having transferred in september from t-mobile, I changed my number over mainly for free calls to other 3 phones, however for the past month I haven't been receiving text messages, calls, if someone leaves a voicemail I am told after 24 hours that I have received one. I'm not even sure if my texts are being sent, I called the service department the lady told me each step what to do, and she said she would call me back within 20 minutes, have heard nothing, so I'm going to go back to t-mobile and just pay for calls to 3, seeing that the years I was with them I never had issues.
I always have a signal too, which is even more confusing....

Most commonly used location: Home (Willesden Green, London)

Ease and reliability and connection: The past few months have been excellent, but recently in my house I've only had 1 bar on H, and whenever I take it out my pocket it says emergency calls only. Most of the time it's fine, but wouldn't recommend the phone! Also when I done some work in Southampton the signal outside was good, but inside the porta cabins and big trucks had no signal. Had good signal in the hotel where I stayed though

    Any other problems: nope

Overall service and rating (out of 10): 7.5/10

I'm on contract - just renewed it have been with them almost 17 months now. I get 900 mix and match minutes and texts, 5000 3 to 3 minutes, 1gb of internet and 30 picture messages for £21 a month - 24 month contract though.

Both me and my husband have 3.

I'd recommend it for data only connections but it hasn't been great for call coverage. While my data connection is almost always great it's more patchy for calls.
All I want is the chance to prove money can't buy me happiness ;)

OK I think I made a boo boo!

Signed up for the HTC desire on 3 for £30 a month 24 month contract but after being ridiculed by friends on facebook (I am told John Cleese had a better buy with his dead parrott) I think I need to cancel.

My problem is if I call tomorrow will they cancel the order straight away as my order has yet to be dispatched or do I wait for delivery then send back.

My wife has suggested that I refused delivery but I am unsure if Three will take this as notification that I do not want this order!

    Any advise?

They may not take it as you don't want the order, but then all you have to do is call up and say "I refused the order because I did not want it". It will likely go to the depot of whatever courier they chose to use. Make sure you make it clear with the courier that you want this item returned to sender (one courier I had who actually use the same courier as 3 delivered my mail to the wrong address...the guy helped himself to my delivery! Wasn't able to get anything back again as he signed for it all so the company were happy it had been taken by me and refused to send out any more to replace!). While its on the system, its easier to keep track of, if you take it in you would still be able to return it but it would likely cost you to do so.

And £30 for the HTC desire is a bit of raw deal though depends on the contract you were after!

Will never go back to 3 myself, they ripped me off 17 months ago, contract due to end in 1 month and I cannot wait! Am thinking of going phoneless!!

Probably says more about Facebook than HTC - are they all iPhone victims? But may indeed be a poor price.

As the other poster says, cancel immediately. I just thought I'd add that the Distance Selling Regulations allow you to return the goods within 7 days of receipt (but must be in a saleable condition which the phone companies insist means that you mustn't even have switched the phone on/inserted the SIM). However, the seller has the right to charge you return postage. If the goods haven't even been sent out, the seller is legally obliged to cancel without charging you a penny - so don't let them pretend they have to. You might find that they instantly offer you a better deal anyway.

Not a good idea - they will probably start threatening you with return postage charges.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

OK so I cancelled on the Sunday... Was told it was all cancelled and everything was fine. I asked if they could confirm in writing that it was cancelled but was told its all automatic.

Called on Monday to confirm.. Was told all cancelled... Today the phone arrives through the post!

Also comes with a letter saying if I wish to return within 17 days then I need to call a 0844 number to get a special number and they will send a special post bag so I can send it back... Not happy!
