3 signal in my area of South West London is so poor, but on my 02 phone, it's perfect.
Apparently when there is no signal 3 rely on Oranges signals to help out...
I did just get another upgrade with them so I'll have to speak to them (again) about the poor signal in my area...
The last time I did this the guy on the phone didnt help at all and just said the signal reception in my area is perfect so he doesnt know what to do!

I am now officially seriously p***ed off with 3!
In upgrading my phone over the phone, I asked if I could get my new phone delivered somewhere else, the man on the phone said fine and I even confirmed with him my billing address was still the same.....now what they have done is changed my billing address to the delivery address and vice versa so not only did I miss my delivery but now their stupid website will not allow me to change my billing address back as they do not allow you to enter the address yourself but rely on their "find" which will only find the WRONG address.

Talking to these people on the phone is pointless because English is obviously NOT their first language and I have NEVER spoken to an English person in 3 "customer service".

Beginning to wonder if having a £5 per month contract with them is worth the hassle...
It is what it is :wall:

Reception in North West London is perfect, at home in the wilds of Wiltshire it's ok indoors (some rooms fine, others nothing) and perfect outside. Generally this is all one can expect in the countryside. Also, 3 have a better 3G signal than any other operator. I've been with them for years and am generally happy...

I must be one of the few with something positive to say about 3. I have been with them for around 4 years and my wife has for the past 2 years. I honestly cant say anything bad about them, any repairs i have needed have been dealt with promptly. most companies fail with people when it comes to customer services and i thankfully have not had to deal with them very much, which is probably why i cant really fault them.
if i ever do have to deal with them i find it easier to just pop into a shop and deal with them face to face and let the staff deal with customer services if required.

I was going to cancel my contract so they offered my the sony Ericsson Zylo for £5 a month on an 18 month contract. I'll save a bundle so I guess I'll just put up with them.

Ah right. A retentions deal. Do Three give you many text / mins for that? Need to cancel my SIM only contract, want to see what they offer me.

  • Interesting to see such a mixed bag of comments. I've always been tempted by 3's deals but instinctively didn't trust them...

Ive been with 3 for 5 years, and have had no major issues with them at all. Their Indian call centres can be hard work sometimes, but Ive had issues with phones that have been sorted out very quickly, and I have had no real problems with reception, and I live in South London. I know people who have had horrible experiences with other networks, so I wouldnt say they are better or worse than any other network, and I personally think their 3g is better than other networks (my hubby has 2 T-mobile phones, and has rubbish 3g connection)

Well so long as they stick by what they told me on the phone I will get 500mb of web, 600 mins, 300 3 to 3 and 300 mix and match.
The contract doesnt kick in till beg. of next month...

i just checked my balance on my phone and i noticed that it said i had almost 2GB worth of data allowance left. i aint complaining as although i have unlimited internet as part of my contract their fair usage was only 1GB. they must have changed it and not told me, it is also telling me how much i have left, which is something it has never done before.
