    Take it with a HUGE pinch of salt. 3 are pants on normal network coverage let alone 3G.

    No, that is incorrect. Your opinion might be that they are poor but they have the best 3G coverage out of the UK providers (fact).

    actually, i thought this, but ofcoms maps have orange down as having the best coverage. The problems with three are that their network is always going down!

    But 3 defaults to Orange when it has no signal, as it does where I live, surely 3 plus Orange gives the best coverage overall?

    Unless Three has built its own backup network, then it hasn't - my phone still reverts to 2G when 3G is not available.

    Well if you're talking about one location, then perhaps the partner network doesn't have coverage in that location. Otherwise, I don't know, but I guess it could be a SIM issue.

    In some limited areas where three have decided their 3G coverage is sufficient (e.g central London) you can no longer roam onto the orange backup network.
