  • yes i agree it would be unfair and totally uncalled for to blame three if they were equally as bad as all the other providers, especially if one had no other experience to call upon! however i can assure you and everyone else that is interested that i first had a car phone in 1987 that took up the whole glove box and was connected to another big box and had a wire continually joined from the box to the handset! sort of mobile as you could drive around and use it! and it was great back then but 50p a minute peak but only £30 a month line rental but that was a lot of money then! i have had vodaphone orange t mobile, orange used to have in and out signal t mobile poor signal but i am in devon and to be fair t mobile did not say they had good coverage in our area (maybe better signal now that was a few years ago) since the mobile phone frequency has changed to digital from analogue and 3g has arrived i believe the digital signal distance achievable from the mast is a much shorter distance now to what it was for analogue so that has caused a lot of coverage issue's however i orignally chose three due to being able to keep up with mobile technolagy 3 years ago, as i have a cctv system that i am able to view with my mobile phone any where in the world (with a signal!) at the time three were ahead of the game however the coverage was poor! but as it was not really available any where else it was ok, since then all the other network providers have now caught up with the whole 3g thing and i am now going to 02 as i went into the shop last week and was able to see live streaming motion pictures from my cctv through the i phone 3gs, however the service from three regarding miss leading coverage issue's on the coverage map ie full area coverage when actually you do cannot even make a phone call! then they are seemingly (try to make the customer give up before you can actually get through to cs and they have withdrawn the e mail service from the three website so they do not have to call you back! (i pressume they were so busy receiving complaints) they have made the phone call process to cs so troublesome you give up because it is so awkward infact three mobile altered my contact mid term costing me an extra £10 a month through small print they are able to increase your bill and there is nothing you can do!!! (read earlier post) three mobile are not only the worst mobile phone provider i have ever had to deal with they are the worst company in the world that i have ever had to deal with regarding me handing over my money every month but not recieving any where near the service that i have paid for, any one else would be in court for trade discription all phone contracts seem to be able to tye you down and you seem unable to do anything about it i do not agree with this like i have said to three on the phone "if i had paid for a full service for my car in the garage and they only pumped up my tyres they would be taken to the cleaners" but all mobile phone companys seem to be a law upon themselves however it is three mobile through my own "experience" that are now behind all the other providers for signal and cs and although it seems cheaper you will not get what you pay for! i see others have the same problems. i hate three they are the worst company in the world!!!!!! they are worser than my spelling and grammmmmmmer.

    Don't know if this has been mentioned earlier but....

    I have been having major connection problems in the Altrincham area with 3.

    I went in to the local carphone warehouse shop and they told me it was because 3 used to piggy back off the orange network in this area and have broken an agreement so orange have cancelled their access. They now do not sell 3 contracts in this area. They also said I should phone 3 CS and cancel my contracts.

    I will be doing this tomorrow and will post the results

    cant wait to see what they say, let me know how long the phone call was with cs, and if they acted straight away, or you had to explain all again to someone else! and i bet you had to type all your details into the phone when prompted by the automated service and then say it all again when you spoke to the human ? and then did you get put on hold to talk to someone else and you then got to tell them your details all over again?

    Well I've done it!

    I have 3 phones with 8 months left, 2 months left and 16 months left. Spoke to a CS lady and explained that there is no coverage in the Altrincham and surrounding areas. She asked me to try another phone and call back. Explained again no coverage and Carphonewarehouse not selling 3 services as there is no coverage.

    "Have you tried powering your phone on and off" Explained again no coverage 3 had an agreement to piggyback off Orange and this agreement has been terminated.

    "what is the postcode for that area" Gave it to her and she said we have excellent coverage in that area

    40 mins later she put me through to technical. Went through the same chat and once I told him about Orange he said you are right and I will cancel the contracts.

    It took 20 mins to cancel and then he said he would transfer me to another department to get the PAC codes. A lady answered "3 Mobile broadband" and my stomache dropped. But she was cool. Had to call me back after I gave her each number because me hanging on made her stats look bad.

    Anyway, all cancelled, no early cancellation fees......sorted.

    Oh, I do have to send back the Samsung Tocco Ultra that I got in July but hey ho.

    BE WARNED THOUGH. The Altrincham 3 shop is still selling 3 services and they are aware that there is no service in Alty

    move down a line leave a gap new subject

    you could have told me there was a spell checker on the top right hand corner of the reply box !!

    that will come in handy

    Use a decent browser and it will have a built-in spell checker.

    i am still learning to read and write dont confuse me with browser

    it has just taken me half an hour to look on the internet and find out what a paragragh is

    anyway it took me two days to write all that stuff down and i didn't even take a breath thats why its written like that,

    how do you put in pictures ?

    dont worry for now i got to learn paragraphs first !!
