Rather weird behaviour experienced in my home today with my Skypephone. I was making a (regular, 3-to-3 which is unlimited thanks to a top-up) call to a friend and every time I entered my kitchen the call would drop. Yet when I checked the phone there was some signal and Skype (which uses the data link) was fine.

Strange, this. Might be that my home lies on the boundary between two 3 cells which aren't handing over to one another properly.
  • Something else strange with 3 that maybe some of their employees on here can explain, I have been out in Mid Wales this weekend and could get no coverage for my laptop using my 3 USB Modem but could connect using my phone as a modem.
    WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
    Blimey what was that ?
    That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.

So you've had just as much experience with all the other networks, and they're all better by far?
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

Oh I'm not denying you've had trouble with Three - I have too. It's just a bit presumptuous to say that they're the "worst by far" if you haven't had experience of all the networks.

Ive had good and bad with 3.

Im on my 2nd 18 month contract, 1st one everything was great, good reception, phone fine for the whole 18 months, cost less than i was paying a month on pay as you go - happy customer.

Then i upgraded to the Sony Ericson W910i phone and have had nothing but problems. Phone was sent back to 3 five times in 1st 6 months as it kept turning it self off (eventually they gave me a completely new phone. Coverage is terrible, need to go outside to make a call from home! Even then its hit or miss as to whether ill be cuy off or not. Phone still not right either.

Thing is i blame the phone not 3, as my boyfriend is also on 3 and has had the Motorola Razor and recently the Samsung Jet and he can pick up a perfect network. I can put my phone next to his on table and mine will have no network and his will be fine!

Also i have my broadband with 3 and this hs been fine, although occasionally it has a slow day.
