Hi thanks for the heads up, they have sent me a pak code after 8 phone calls and spending 1/2 hour waiting on hold i finaly got through to the cancleations team who spent ages trying to sell me another contract, and another thing i was asked weather i wanted to transfer my contract to a family member or friend, tbh id rather pay the £34.95 and save the embarresment0

I just signed up to 3 and received my new phone yesterday. Today I am sending it back!
When my new phone arrived it didn't come with any paperwork or contract that confirmed my package (i.e. cost, minutes, etc). 3 advise you to log onto your account to check the details. To do this you need to receive a message on your new 3 mobile with an account activation code - using your phone in this way would invalidate your right to return the phone and cancel the contract if you weren't happy with it. How sneaky!!!
When I called to request an email/letter confirmation of my contract it took 20mins to explain to the agent what I wanted and for him to put in a request for me to be sent an email. If I hadn't used 'say no to 0870' that call would have cost nearly £2. When I got the email today, all it contained was confirmation of my phone type and contract duration.
I feel like they use quite underhanded methods and definately won't be tempted by them again!0 -
Handset: N95 8GB
Most commonly used location: Hampshire, Surrey, London
Ease and reliability and connection: Good connection; 3G connection reasonably good
Any other problems: Tried to give MORE than 30 days notice to cancel today (moving to a GPhone) and they first insisted I had to give *exactly* 30 days notice, was even told to check my agreement paperwork as that's what it says. I did check, and it actually says AT LEAST 30 days so I had to call and correct them and they finally gave in, but still not with some confusion about getting a PAC code. So... good connectivity, good phone, but dodgy call centre service.
Overall service and rating (out of 10): Was 10/10, but after today's cancellation debacle, 1/10, because they told me an untruth.

Consider yourself lucky - they just sent me a phone I clearly said I didn't want before going away and considering it (whereupon I found out it was a pathetic deal anyway). I had to reject the delivery.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

We have just brought 3x skypephone S2 phones from 3 because our daughter can not have a land line in her digs and this phone dose skype + 3-3 free calls , my coverage is a bit hit and miss but hers is great but most important we can talk for free £10 on pay as you go gets you 300 free text plus more and they will be valid for 3 months so this £10 should last a while,+ our land line bill should be a lot less!!!! and thats what counts0

I have been with 3 right from the start. I will freely admit at the begining connection was rubbish, phones where rubbish and service was rubbish (unless you got english call center and it was/is great)
curently I have an old sony ericson (about 2 years) reception is good, I actually get better reception than most people i know. -im the only one that gets decent reception in my basement office, or if im in the middle of no where it will be mates who will complain no signal.
(my work phone is vodaphone- and three is better recpetion)
Im in a dilema though, I want a better phone, but not want to pay more for bills or loose my recpetion. I may have to leave 3...0 -
I had a 3 phone when they first come out and they were appalling would never go back. The service they provided was rubbish and customer service was even worse. I would like to be proven wrong but I dont think I can. The thought of them makes me angry0

Hi I have cancelled 4 times since june 2008 and every month I get a threat from a different Bailiffs but never the bill I am being sued for and still they want more money from me I have no phone since June ,I have my PAC.
I phoned Otelo to ask if I have to pay them for the rest of my life
this will be the second letter I have sent with help from them I feel like letting 3 take me to court, surely a contract is between two parties?0 -

I've been looking at other providers and have been surprised that T-mobile is so small-minded as to charge you for accessing voicemail (and it's not even taken out of your bundled minutes). I'd also be interested to know how many of the other networks make it so easy to find out how much of your allowance you have remaining.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
I understand your annoyance - I am trying to get over them sending me a phone I didn't want - but the service they now provide is very good, especially considering they have a fallback network. Because if this, you could even argue that their coverage is now better than anyone else's. You should really not cut off your nose to spite your face by basing your opinions on an outdated assessment of their coverage.
I strongly disagree, 3's coverage is not better that everyone elses. I have been with them for about 2 and half years, and their coverage has never been good. Unfortunately last November I was talked into renewing my contract with them, as they promised me that my coverage would improve with my new phone. In fact, it has actually got worse! I can now only get a reception in my attic bedroom and even then its only one or two bars. However my three housemates are all on 02 and get a great reception in the house. The same goes for my workplace in Sheffield, I only get one bar at the best of times.
After nearly four months of heated phone calls and emails about my worsening reception, they finally agreed to reduce my monthly line rental. However I still think their customer service is shocking, the reception is very bad and I will definately be leaving them when my contract is up for renewal next time!0
