Bit thick are you not
Does it say supporters or sponsors...

I dare you to imply that we get our stuff from Pirate Bay, I absolutely dare you to print this on here in front of the whole world to read. That would be total defamation because you could not prove it.
And before we all incinuate we download items.. not at all.
Again.. prove it people or it stays as defamation under legal law. That is a wonderful piece of detective work - the massive legal team must be so busy he is asking for help on message boards from strangers.
What an absolute !!!!!!!
I think you will find that could be Tim trying to sort all of this farce out.
I do know he contacted SF in relation to changing the co.uk to the possible .net if necessary.
Again, nothing to do with us - but with his details being on show.. and not being used by us.. you can see why.Just to confirm, XL Trading does have the right to reply but this does not mean MSE endorses its products in any way and, like all other forum users, must help us keep the forum a friendly place to be.

Nothing to do with XL Trading in any way, shape or form.
So why is he the registrant of XLTrading.net? Coincidence?0 -
You could only really offer a back-up service if you could prove that the back-up you sold to someone was clearly a back-up.
Having an opt-out stating that the person buying from you really does have the original is no excuse, as you are still aiding and abetting if found that the person does not actually own the original, whether you supply Keys or Not, you are giving the means for people to circumvent proper retail routes, and thus taking money away from the people who are creating the copyrighted materials.
Also considering about 90% of all laptops and desktops sold by shops come with some form of DVD copying software, it should be quite possible for people to make their own 'back-ups', apart from where the copyrighted material is protected and would need to be circumvented in order to make the 'copy'. Circumventing protection I believe is considered naughty, and not to be done.
So therefore it could be construed that offering 'back-ups' of copy protected software, constitutes theft, as you are having to circumvent methods put in place to stop said copying.
It's not like the good old days of tapes, where you put one in one side of the stereo and the other one in the other deck and just press play /record0 -

Does that mean if I wanted to defraud someone as long as I get them to tick a box that says it's fine, then legally I cannot be prosecuted?0 -

better get your legaly lawful lawyer to send a legaly lawful letter. You know fine well nothing is going to happen to anyone who accuses you of anything. Is there even such a thing as illegal law?The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Yes I have read the whole thread, and yes I do understand your business model. What you appear not to have read is the EULA on the software you are making 'backups' from which prohibits copying of ANY kind for ANY reason.
Lets us hope your 'legal team' is bigger than Microsofts if they decide you are breaking their EULA.0 -

...and that's assuming "Tim" still lives at this Elm Lane address becuase that is not the name showing on certain government databases......there's a man registered there who's first name begins with the letter 'C' and a lady there who's name starts with the letter 'D' who were also the Directors of XLDS Limited. Both the trading, and registered offices for XLDS was Elm Lane as was the personal address of these two people.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
