Still might be even harder if we use a proxy
Such a pity I use TOR encryption when I go online :rotfl:0 -

Don't worry Trib, XL is offline now - that means they are either on the phone to their "team of lawyers" or Mum has called bedtime.
Slightly off topic, but why is it that companies have a "team of lawyers" - it sort of suggests to me that one on their own isn't any good and they can only accomplish something when they are in a herd.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
Team of lawyers, don't make me laugh.
I would imagine if this guys boss saw this thread the only action he would get would be his P45 coming through his door.
This rep has been more damaging to his company's name than any negative things posters could of put!0 -

There's no 'rep'. What we appear to have is a sole trader (but who thinks by calling themselves an individual by-passes tax law) who has the worlds largest back up service company and yet turning over less than £68k per annum but has the ability to have its own team of lawyers on hand 24/7 and who has the combined knowldge of PayPal's FAQ at their disposal.
In other words, it's probably a bloke, in his bedroom doing a bit of trade on the side, probably not declaring any tax on it (why would he, he isn't trading). Here's some interesting reading.
Remember, no laws were broken in the writing of this article :-http://myreader.co.uk/msg/124340112.aspx
Makes reference near the end whereby a spokesman for FACT was happy with the jail sentence handed down to the dodgy Sky card reseller.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Yes I think its a sole trader or a gang of them copying stuff in a room with multiple pc's. Obviously doing things illegal no doubt not declaiming any tax let alone illegal content and passing them off as backups and you must own original, who are they really kidding here
Probably at local car boot at weekend doing same thing, do they really think they get away with it? they hit them with fines, imprisonment and selling there homes if they own them0 -
Sorry for the previous bad post - for some reason I cannot edit it nor add spaces/make it look nicer but not defeated and gone to Plan B.
The news link relating to the bloke imprisoned had been doing this trade for "at least 6-8 months" but probably much longer than that, thus demonsrating that anyone can do this and get away with it for quite some time - but doesn't make it any less illegal nor does having a stand at a local market make the business legal.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. I dare say XL has just got p0wned by the MSE massive.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
Sorry about the late reply - been watching the footy tonight.
To be honest, the thread is going nowehere.. its getting the same pointless posts time after time.
We are not pirates
We know the law.
We are not breaking any laws at all.
I really don't want to be explaining again and again, because it is pointless and does not sink in on here.
I think personally, I will call it quits with that because the majority of people really have not got a clue on here and are just repeating what other posters are saying ie: the weird 'wikipedia lawyers' quote for some reason
So, goodnight from me - best wishes to all and we will have our solicitor have the thread closed shortly as we have the business address for the forum itself which is a Ltd company no less.
Nice talking and arguing with you all
XLJust to confirm, XL Trading does have the right to reply but this does not mean MSE endorses its products in any way and, like all other forum users, must help us keep the forum a friendly place to be.

Hilarious thread.... if anyone has said anything to convince me this company is dodgy as hell it is XL Trading himself.....
The constant threats, the arrogance, the refusal to give any information on the products or answer questions....
Wasn't there a deal a while back where you could buy a "pay once, watch forever" sky box and you got three months free subscription to sky world....
I'm wondering if its something to do with that.0
