    Afternoon all!

    day off today!:j
Got DS2 at home today still recovering from yesterdays sickness but thankfully he seems ok now, has managed to eat 2 slices of toast .

The breadmaker we bought yesterday at the bootie works a treat! so mum is having my old one to have a try with.

Going to fetch our petrol mower later, its been having a service - nearly fainted with shock when told the bill £86 ! should have got a quote :o wont be having it done again, OH will have to have a go next time.I wanted to look after it properly as it belonged to my late father but mum said not to worry, Dad wouldn't want us to fork out that much to get it done so we wont bother again!

Have made my second fruit loaf this morning from a healthy eating book.I think its classed as wheat free - its gorgeous, a bit like bread pudding that you get from the bakers.Lovely with a bit of butter!;)

Am going to put my feet up in a bit with my book, got to have a bit of time to myself on my day off!

    B - multi grain toast
    L - tuna pasta salad
D - Leftover roast and bread and butter pudd!(yum yum)

    Catch you all later x
    Do what you love :happyhear

Hiya, hugs to (((elona))), it is so hard when a family member is ill. I'm thinking of you.

At my mum's, a bit bored and de-motivated, wish I had JW's get up and go, I just keep thinking of ex-OH :(

Shez - well done on exercsise....I have to stay off that for a while. It is very tempting to just stuff my face at the moment but we'll have to keep each other motivated! Have my cousin's wedding in summer and would be lovely to wear a nice dress.

Glad u have had such a positive day PP - great news :)

BTW - to all the house proud cleaners, such as ticklemouse...if you're ever bored there is always my flat ;)

    Have fun afternoons

My mum - who's never liked housework much - taught me a good trick. If you and a friend have a room in each of your homes which needs a proper blitz, swap chores - you blitz their room, they blitz yours. It's much more motivating when you're trying to do it for somebody else ;)

BTW, I went for a walk at lunchtime and spent some time sampling delicious cheeses in the branch of the Neal's Yard Dairy that's near my office  TM - I spotted one cheese in there called Ticklemore :D:D (Is that what Ticklemice eat? :D:D)

Shez - congrats on your third star :D

Hi BargainRzl, once I have two arms I'll have to try that cleaning tip! I'm always much more proactive cleaning up other people's mess!

Ooh, you have mentioned my favourite cheese, Ticklemore, from Totnes I believe! I know exactly where u r talking about...if it is the actual Neal's Yard Dairy - lovely cafe near there which does lovely wheat-free muffins...yum :p

I assume the original Neal's Yard Dairy is actually in the vicinity of Neal's Yard  but the one near me is on one of the streets off Borough Market, opposite the Market Porter pub.

I could really spend pounds (£££££) in that place  but would be unable to stop and would end up putting on pounds (lb) too :D

Ahh, but it is worth it for good cheese :) Once I treated my sister and her boyf to a sausage and cheese party. We went to the Simply Sausages shop in London and bought one of each flavour (the person who served us thought we were mad)and then spent lots in Neal's Dairy. Yummy, but fattening!!

    Afternoon everyone.

I'm in a fab mood. Got a bonus free day off work. I arrived at 7:30 to find the car park flooded, and a burst water pipe. What a shame. They kept us there till 9:45 so we could have a meeting that they were supposed to do on Wednesday evening, and then we were told to go as it was a bit nippy and there was no water. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the JCB that was digging up the car park manages to slip and hit another pipe. OOPS. Is that really bad??

I spent the day semi-usefully. I was going to come home and do some more marking (did 10 hours yesterday  ) but instead, i went to visit my mum at her shop, and then to visit my dad and keep him company for a bit. My excuse is i wanted to pick up some anti-stretchmark cream from my sister (really needed i can tell you).

the ironic thing is, i was psyched up for work this morning, and i woke up feeling energetic and had my day planned out. Can't see me doing much starting now. Oh well.

it is really dark and miserable here. I feel envious catowen that you saw enough sun to make you go pink. Its a bit grim up north.

Well i suppose i should try and do something a bit better than sit near the phone hoping someone rings to say there is no school tomorrow. Please do a bit of wishing for me on my behalf :rotfl: as i have a whole day tomorrow. My worst day of the fortnight timetable by far.

    See you all tomorrow.

Hi cha97michelle gosh, what teaching dreams are made of! 10 hours of marking - poor you. Roll on the summer holidays!

Shez - well done with all the fitness, it really is that makes a difference! I used to have a v. sexy personal trainer in London who motivated me to lose 4st! Have put 1st back on....and mum has just come back from the shops with treats to help me recover, *sigh* she means well.

I've been good and just listed books on greenmetropolis, so they are now on amazon and there as well. Anyone know of anywhere else, apart from ebay?

Must look at avatar next! Oh it says one can't upload at the moment :(
