Edit: Where did that bl00dy thanks button go again?????

    Morning all!

Mushypeas - Thanks, there have been breakups that I felt like it was the end of the world, and break ups that just bounce off me, im lucky that it was an easy one this time around as I have an exam in under two weeks and need my focus! I hope you feel better soon.

I woke up at 7.15 this morning but decided staying in bed was a good plan, so slept in till 9am. So far, ive looked at ebay for a bookcase - ive found one so im waiting till last minute to bid (im one of those that bids high and late and you never see me coming!) as its the only one that matches my other stuff perfectly. Im hoping that no one really notices it and doesnt bid so I can get myself a bargain. Im also looking for a cd player for the car as the tape/radio is a little frustrating.

So, today is the start of revision with a vengeance, but that will start after ive had another cup of tea and a shower. Im currently plotting a trip out every day this week so I get some fresh air and I get a reward for a whole day revision - Today will be a trip to Lidl but I can only spend a few pounds. I havent decided for tomorrow, but wednesday will be work thing, thursday go and spend £20 voucher in m&s from work thing, Friday is payday and im contemplating getting a tropical fish so I might do to a garden centre, and saturday doesnt get a treat as im locking myself in the house for the weekend and not doing anything but revise.

Right im off! Have a lovely day all!

    Jo xx

p.s - I shop in tesco - two hunky men by fruit and veg, and the other was looking at tea (my kind of guy!)

Pooky - one tip I was given when I found sleeping alone at night insomnia-inspiring was to lay dh's pillow lengthways down his half of the bed; subconsciously, as you turn in the night, your body is conned into thinking he's still there.

E'lass - oooooh, Davy Jones!!! That must have been great fun - pensioner eye-candy (ducks & runs for cover) ;):D :rotfl:

    Shez
    - Don't run before you can walk! You don't want to pull your hamstring  Ask dh for extra rumpy-pumpy ;) Fill your plate with heaps of veggies before you add any carbs or proteins. Oh, and have a large (and I mean large!) glass of water before you sit down to eat can help too.

    JackieO
    - ouch! Sounds like a challenging appointment for you. Hopefully, they'll give you a few moments to take some deep breaths - if you close your eyes and remember Blackpool at the same time, it might help take your mind off things a bit. Fingers X'd.

    ((manicdays))

Zed - :T :T On the herb garden :) Good luck with your crown (I'm also off to the Dentist this afternoon, fingers X'd for you too).

r.mac - Sending posi-vibes your way for good luck with your exam!

Mushy - For one armed piccy taking ... can you get hold of a tri-pod?
Chickens/noise? No way! :D The c0cks make the real noise; had barely more than the odd trill, bwark and clucking from her. To be honest, the herring gulls make far more racket than Silky, but sadly, herring gulls didn't come as an optional extra :(

Jo - good luck with revision!! P.S. I have it on good authority from a fellow MSE'er that Tesco's Butchers are the real eye-candy worth ogling ;) Can't divulge my source. :silenced:

Phew! Had a really productive morning so far (nervous energy in anticipation of apptmt p.m)
BM is on with a Mint Loaf (from recipe book); another batch of yogurt is now in the airing cupboard; even though it's a bit grey, I've hung out one wash load and await the other from the WM.

Chilli con Queenie in the SC :o:o
Had to use up the other half of minced beef left behind by d11yo this morning (he's making HM Burgers with salad - main - and hummous with veggie crudites - starter - in Food Tech). I added some soya mince to the meat, having first rehydrated it in stock - the left over stock I've drained off and put in the fridge for something else) Didn't have any kidney beans, so I've sub'd with a tin of baked beans. :o

That done, I decided to have a try at the melt-n-pour soap kit I was given as a gift quite some time ago. Chopped up the bits, put in jug and then nuked in the microwave, pour into moulds and voila! The jug and utensils now sit in soak in the utility room and I shall use that in the next wash load rather than toss it.

Just enjoying a lovely cuppa before I go for a soak and de-stress (I really am one of those who do not, *not* like going to the dentist)

Oh, the sausage maker is an absolute HOOT! Reminded me of the sausage task that featured in The Generation Game :rotfl: The hardest task was finding the end of the skin to slip over the nozzle! Mind you, when d10yo took charge of pushing the meat into the chamber, leaving me just to guide and twist the sausages, I did find that keeping the lengths going and all the same size quite challenging; I was far happier using both hands. One to poke and one to guide n twist. Best part? No rusk, additives or other undefinable C.rap and *we* controlled the levels of salt! :D:D:D

Right, coffee now drunk and time to hit the bath with the pamper basket (got a lovely CD of sea music that I'm going to listen to :) )

    Morning all

Your all far to quick posting that early, this is the first breath i've taken today so far!!

E'lass - Davy Jones, ooo i'm nearly 28 and I used to swoon over him when I watched the Monkiees on Tv as a child!

JackieO - hope the appointment goes ok. The largest needle I have is the one when I give blood, that's big enough so hope it's not too painful.

Twink - sorry your not feeling that great today, still the cuddles from the little one will help, i'm sure!!

A boring day for me today. At w*** at the moment, it's pouring it down outside.

Nothing planned for this evening and a drive with the roof down is out of the question with the weather like this!

    Breakfast - coffee
Lunch - HM bread (Made 2 more loaves yesterday which were better than the first) with ham
Tea - Pork loin steaks with sliced potatoes done in cheese sauce with leeks and broccoili

    Have a good day everyone

    manicdays

Your OH sounds like he is being a right pain. He is not your employer! If you are being ordered to go out to work and pay childminder etc and he is dictating your hours as well - that is just not on!

Went to hospital last night and dad is talking about coming home but I really do not think that will be possible judging by the way he is at the moment. Really hope I am wrong but will just have to take things one day at a time.

Had a manic cookery morning as I am going to meet DD this afternoon.

Made a dozen apple and cinnamon muffins. Chinese pork with tomatoes, garlic, onions , peppers and mushrooms.
A huge chicken curry with the above mentioned veg and fresh ginger and spices.

Trying to get dad's washing dried at laundry this morning as it is pouring here at the moment.

JW Glad to hear you sounding so positive. Do not weaken when he tries to come back!
