 Goof Afternoon Everyone :hello:
I havent posted for a while too, I feel like starlorna22 that I too, have nothing much to say, but still like to read. Well done with the job btw.
Just back from church, we do like to natter. I alway ask the 'old dears' for recipes. I bought quite a few baking trays, muffin tins, loaf tins, etc in a charity shop last week, so I was collecting recipes..............not sure how they will turn out, first attempt
Went to see family in Bolton yesterday and called into a store that is Asian (hope I have been PC enough to not offend anyone) picked up lots of spices and herbs to have a go at making my brothers famous (well, it is in our family ) chicken tikka. Also got what I needed to make CQ 'famous' (well, it is on here
) curry sauce. Note to self, could be quite busy in the kitchen this week.
DH has just gone out with DS2 to see if we can get the caravan serviced for when we start taking it out in the summer.
Got to peg washing out. Weather doesnt look all that fantastic here, so I hope the rain keeps off. Then I have the biggest mountain of clothes to iron. Honestly, DH puts a clean shirt on for work everyday, but when it comes to washing and ironing I swear there are at least 9!!!!!!!!! to iron. I'm sure he brings some one elses washing home from work.
Gotta go, hugs to everyone who needs them:grouphug:
Julie xxxI also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like youwould like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing

Afternoon all.
Have had a bit of a busy morning, got up, made bacon sandwiches then took them back to bed. The got up and drained my first lot of alfalfa seeds for sprouting (what do they taste like?) then went to Woolworths and bought a salad leaves growing kit for £2.99 which should give me 3 lots of salad leaves! Very excited about that! Took photos and wrote descriptions of things to list on ebay later. Have also done the washing up and putting away and am now thinking about what to make for dinner.
MushyPeas - sorry I haven't sent ou your things yet - I've been a bit rubbish I know - will send them tomorrow.0 -

Afternoon peeps,
Just about to settle down last night to a film and a glass of wine and the phone rang .Call cantre; You are a key holder and the alarm has gone off
Me which alarm
Call centre ** P****** C***** (my daughters house )
Me;Ooer O.K I' ll go and sort it
Bang goes my film and wine. I get dressed back out of jim-jams and toddle off in pouring rain to reset alarm
DD and family are in cardiff having gone to see West Ham. in F.A. Cup.
I arrive at DD house to find it surrounded by cross neighbours
Neighbours 'Bl***y Alarms'
Me ;Sheepishly ,'Sorry folks not my house but I'll sort it.':o
two hours later it is sorted ,but by that time I am drenched and rather cross.
DD rings and says sweetly 'Everything O.K. Mum?'
Me Grrrr yes
I end up staying the night in case it goes off again. apparently the back of the house was struck by a lighting bolt which caused the alarm to trigger.
Better day this morning I went to a boot fair with one of my grandsons and he wants to learn to play golf .He is a bit of a shrimp at 10 and so I was pleased to find a half set of ladies clubs that I beat the guy down to £7.00 for and a bit further on a leather -type golf bag that the man let me have for 50p Result one happy grandson and one slightly broke Grandma. Also got 15 Alicante tomato plants for 25p and a stainless steele cafetiere for 50p. Weather had put a lot of folk off from going to the boot-sale so there were lots of bargains to be had .:j
Just off to youngest DD for dinner, week-end is improving as it goes on.Will save my glass of wine for this evening. Hope everyone else is having a good day too.0
