Good morning Shez and Snowy, and everyone else.

Didnt sleep well last night, had hoped i would cos i was still up at 11.30 last night, trying to set up my new printer, as my old one died on me Friday night, and i had to write my mystery shop details out by hand!!!! Did get a nice one, that is also a copier and scanner, but couldve done without the expense, but needs must!!!!
Anyway, up early today as DS has a football tournement to goto, and luckily its lovely weather at the moment, so im just having a quick cuppa before making the picnic, and then the mad rush out the door, as we are meeting everyone at the leisure centre at 8.15 (almost unheard of in this house on a Sunday!!!)
Well, hope everyone has a lovely day, we are off to shout encouragement at a bunch of 9 year olds!!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning Folk

Not a good night here but have taken some pain killers and feel a little better now:D

WM will be going on soon but its abit wet here this morning and we had some thunder last night too. Grass needed it though. Toilet cleaned and house is clean and tidy dtill from friday. DW was emptied last night.

OH & DD went to a jumble sale yesterday afternoon, then on to asda to bag some bargains. They came back with loads, especially from the jumble sale. They only had £10 cash on them and bought back loads of clothes that we needed, some designer kids wear that will sell on Ebay, books we have been after and OH bought 2 suits that had been drycleaned for 50p each:eek: some other bits, had a drink and cake and spent about £8. Asdas we needed some basics plus he got aload of yellow stickered items for the freezer and after using some vouchers, spent £19. They had a fund day anyway and enabled me to rest up for a couple of hours. OH hates football so am quite lucky there.

DD has a party this afternoon starting at Pizzahut at 4pm, then going back to the girls house for a film and popcorn. Has to be picked up at 7.30. All her HW is done:p so she can go;)

OH & I are going to spend a few hours this afternoon together and do nothing around the house, probably just sit in the back garden (if weather ok) and chat with a flask of coffee:D He bought 2 bags of soil yesterday, so we need to get some bright bedding plants for a few pots I have, but not sure where to get them....anyone help/advise me???? They all seem so expensive ATM.

Anyways, Ive got to get some breakfast as tummy rumbling!

    Breakfast:Bacon Roll
    Lunch:Soup & Roll
    Dinner:Chicken(90p),roasties,mash(10p),yorkies,carrots/brocolli/cauli(5p), parsnips,gravy

    Will catch up later.

    Good Morning.

Well weather looks overcast here at mom but forecast last night was only 10% chance of rain today - methinks will check it again in a min as they do seem to change reg. Noone else is up yet so not sure what will do today. Think might take DS & DD if she wants to our holiday caraven (isnt far away) as think OH will like time to plant in the backgarden. (we picked up loads of plants yesterday) also want him to plant out my herb garden. DS will then be able to play with his best friend who he hasnt seen for a while.

Dont know what to do about dinner, forgot to get chicken out of the freezer but have got some bar b que food in the fridge - will think about that.

House is quite tidy so will just iron school clothes later and that should be it.

Hope you all have a good day - PP and OH enjoy your peaceful afternoon.

    :hello: Morning, OS'ers :):):)

Shez - have a nice time at nephews communion party.

Snowy - well done on your walk yesterday. Hoping you manage to get some study done today but an equal amount of de-stressing too, sounds like the pressure is really on now. I agree, all of us who get sidetracked should blame Martin Lewis ;):)

PoshPaws - Is your compost too wet? Maybe you need to add some more dry stuff, like shredded paper/newspaper to your bin? Sorry to read about your worms, but it did give me a good chuckle :o

cat - hope ds's team do well in their tournament. Hope you get your 3-in-1 sorted out today :):)

    Have a lovely Sunday

You haven't offended me purple :)

FWIW age is never an issue between me and my friends. My close friends range in age from 16 to 75 (I'm 27) and I think of them all equally. Housemate is 49 and his age is not the reason I'm not attracted to him :)

    Morning all :hello:

Just a quick one from me this morning :D

Very busy day lined up. Off to church this morning (choir practice in central London at 10am) then one of our churchwardens is treating the choir to lunch at an Italian restaurant. Have to try to remain relatively sober, as I'm then heading straight off to rehearse for a concert with another choir. After the rehearsal we will have a shared buffet tea - hope my HM blueberry muffins go down well - followed by the concert. My best friend (GBF) is singing some of the solos.

Then on for a quick pint in the pub across the street, and hopefully a nice handy lift most of the way home with the organiser of the concert & her husband (who both also sing in the choir) - they live on the way back to mine, and if they drop me at their local station I can get a train or bus the rest of the way, which is much quicker than public transport all the way.

Anyway, gotta go and jump in the shower - I'll read the daily thread when I get home late this evening :)

    Hope evryone's well
    Rzl xx

    morning

feeling rather stressed this morning. didn't sleep well (can I join the insomnia club? :D) I have my penultimate exam tomorrow and have realised far too late that there is tonnes still to look at/revise/learn. oh well.......................just keep plodding along i suppose.

catowen - the footie sounds good fun - i hope that your DS does well.

PP- sorry you didn't sleep well, but congrats on all your bargains at the weekend

Brzl - you are just too busy for words! hope that the choir practice goes well and if there are any muffins left, fling them my way ;)

House is a tip, but will deal with that after exams on tuesday. havn't a clue what is for lunch or dinner - toast or sandwiches most likely. also have a couple of ebay items ending today that i really want to win - i just hope they don't go above my budget.

Oh and I nearly forgot. I signed up to the 6 issues of red magazine for £6 ages ago and have had my first two copies of the mag. When I enquired about my free gift (some expensive decleor toilettries) i was told they had run out and would not be sending out alternatives. the lady was very nice and offered to cancel my DD and refund me - but i like red anyway and as it was still a bargain decided to go with it. The free gift turned up today!!!!! it looks very lovely and think it would be perfect as a pressie for my best mate's birthday :D Result.

right - better dash. reward for working hard this morning is to watch final of shipwrecked and quickly log on here at lunchtime :D

    Morning all

Cat - Hope the football goes well - rather you than me having to be up and out so early.

PP - Hope you enjoy your time with DH this afternoon - nice to have some alone time.

Queenie - Hope Silky's settling in well.

Rzl - Hope your muffins go down well and HM hasn't eaten them all.

Hug to all those who didn't sleep well.

I was woken early by the dawn chorus again this morning - it sounds like their all sitting on the end of my bed it's soooo loud....there's loads more birds in the garden this year, I wonder why? We've got a cuckoo living nearby and although it's a lovely sound during the day - at 4.45am it's not so nice.

Hoping to pop out to a boot fair this morning, just a case of dragging everyone out of bed (cruel? me? noooo!) Then back for a nice lunch before DH goes off for the week....a different hotel every night (with room service) and client lunches all week - he'll not fit in his suit by the time he comes back.

Going to plant out my seedlings later - everything's coming on really well - very impressed with my potatoes in a dustbin - they look like they're going great guns.

Hope you all have a wonderous day - I'm off to wake up the snoring masses.

Brzl - you day sounds lovely.
PP I am so impressed with DH and DD's bargains yesterday.
Essex girl - you wouldn't like to tidy my house too?

I spent yesterday at a conference so am looking forward to relaxing a bit in the sunshine today. Conference was for single parents. Many were struggling with money issues, so I did a big plug for MSE! I should be off the computer doing some ironing etc, so better make it a quick post.

I maaged to get some packets of soup mix veg reduced yesterday, so made some soup. Also got one of the large pizza made in store reduced to 80p. It was ham and pineapple which is dd's favourite. Might she if she wants a friend round as its massive. Also managed to get 14 packs of cheese reduced to 10p each. Mainly cheddar, which is good for cooking, but also four more interesting ones for cheese board.

    Hiya everyone,

We've been away this weekend getting our final load from the house. Mowed, washed walls, floors etc. I'm completly had it tonight. It's Mother's Day today so DD is cooking tea for me. :D Were having a chicken roll stuffed with macadamia & honey & roast veggies. I got a game of trivial pursuit & a coffee mug that says *Mum's the best* ;).

I haven't caught up with the threads from the last few days but I hope you are all well. DGS & ex DIL came to visit yesterday for most of the day. It was so lovely to see him. Has two more teeth. 4_1_203.gifBye for now.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
