    Just checking

Here I am, on a Saturday night - doing the finances whilst DH is getting plastered in the dining room - something has gone wrong in my life!

I have to say, Zed42, you're not the only one who's asked that question! Even my mum, who knows all his failings (much older than me, would still be living with his parents if they were still alive, etc) suggests from time to time that we would be perfect for each other :D and indeed, we are definitely on the same wavelength (finishing each other's sentences/jokes etc). We are certainly soulmates in a platonic sense.

But that is definitely as far as it goes :D:D

    Grin ....

Then you'll just have to make that pact that you'll live together if neither of you have found someone else by the time you're 90! LOL.

Just don't arrange to meet at the top of the Empire State Building! :D

    He ain't perfect :D

And Zed42 - he's going to be 90 a VERY long time before me, so that might not work :D

OK, will let you all in on a little secret. We have known each other for 6 years (met in the cheapest seats at the opera :D) and I spent the first 2 years of our friendship fending him off :o) After making my (lack of) feelings perfectly clear, he went off in a huff and didn't speak to me for 3 months. Then started afresh and struck up a beautiful FRIENDSHIP (honestly) :D

If I thought he still had a "thing" for me, I would not have agreed to share a house with him. And he had already asked me once previously if I'd like his spare room - am so pleased I didn't, until he'd got it out of his system :o

BTW I've just had a message from Nelski saying I should tell you that Placido Domingo is the only one for me :D :rotfl:

Off to take mum to the opticians in a while, I love going myself but I hate spending the money on them. I have worn glasses since I was 12 so in the years, I dread to think how much I have spent. Although I have to admit on buying the lightweight/designer frames (I know, not OS at all) as I think if I wear them everyday I will get my money worth......
Hoping to get some reactions lenses for my next pair, can't be doing with swapping and changing to sunglasses.
Lyndsey I do the same. It is serious money saving as the lightweight designer frames and lenses save the wear and tear on our faces ;) , saving us a small fortune in plastic surgery  costs in later life (She says, doggedly  )

poshpaws, you had me in fits of laughter :rotfl: poor you! poor worms! what did you do with the one on the table? Repeat after me, worms are nice, worms are nice :D

thriftlady that lamb and chickpea meal sounded delicious, I love moroccan

Nels! I am so impressed! that absolutely hilarious couple of hours we spent doing the Brad/JCN exercise really paid off! But it still has to be Gino for me :heart2: (after Johnny Depp of course ;) )

Well the football drove me to find out what effect Microfibre and stardrops could have on the "Glory hole" which is my sort of flat equivalent of a loft/garden shed thing. I found out, Glory hole is gleaming, I am filthy icon9.gif

Rzl, what is wrong with your housemate? And how come you keep baking for him ;)I am so dead if she gets hold of me

edit - this is ot of sync coz it took me ages to type, and that bore no relation whatsoever to the rather large glass of wine I have just consumed :)
Off for a much needed soak in the bath,
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Rzl I'm not even going to mention your housemate, just to say congrats on the nice loaf! I thought of getting a BM as so many peeps on here swear by (not to mention at) them, but decided we don't eat enough bread to make it worth it.....still think about it occasionally though!

Note to self: Do not post after drinking 4 glasses of red wine  as it takes so long to edit post!

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear .... the poor ol' bloke, and poor ol' you for being deluded ... you really think he's got over you!

    Zed42 runs away rapidly ..... ;)

DH has just announced he has had enough of getting plastered and is going for a beer .... which is fine as long as he brings a kebab home ... OS ? Mebbe not, but tis a Sat night!

Nelski may have to beat my ma off on her way to see P/D!

PS. How do you let peeps know your MSN details?
