    Morning all,

A lazy morning here ... DD is currently playing on her "organ", I keep turning the volume down, she keeps turning it up ;) . DH is still asleep. I've read half of the Times, so I'm happy with that!

Plans for the day include not-a-lot, but I must finish the finances and probably do the ironing.

DH will carry on getting plastered. He's done most of the walls now, so I think his aim is the ceiling today :)

B - Porridge with maple syrup
L - HM Carrot and Coriander soup with foccacia bread
D - will inspect freezer in a while and see what's languishing there!

    :hello: Hi everyone,
A quiet Sunday (well it is now-was woken at 7.30 by ds2 and dd arguing:mad: ) anyway OH has taken them both swimming and ds1 is watching Attack of the Jedi/return of the Sith/revenge of the phantoms or whatever it is:confused: Ooh,I tell I lie he's just off for a bike ride apparently-good,some exercise;)

There is a chicken smothered in garlic, rosemary, thyme and olive oil sizzling away in the oven and it smells divine. To be served with new potatoes and peas and carrots.I think I'll make a fruit cobbler for pud-homegrown rhubarb and frozen summer berries probably.

Btw for Bargain Rzl,I put my Morrocan lamby thing on the recipe board thread. It is in no way authentic Morrocan, but was very good if I say so myself.

    Off to do a pud.

One sore head here today  I think OH and I overdid it on the wine last night.......

DW and TD on (It's drizzling here, has been for 2 days now  )
As I have sensitive skin, I use Fairy liquitabs and fairy softner. I usually buy the big 30 tablet packs when I go shopping (£7.50  )and I noticed how quick they seemed to be going down. I was putting washing in the machine yesterday when OH came in and said,
Are you only doing a half load then?
No I replied, I can't fit any more in, why?
Well with you only using one tablet?
What do you mean, you only use one of these per wash...........

Found out for months and months he has been using 2 per wash  so no wonder they are dissapearing fast! Oh well, at least I have set him straight now!

I used the recipie on the back of the flour bag to make the bread (Hovis) Is says it only needs one rising, I wondered if that could be the reason why?

SS has aroller hockey match today so OH will be taking him to that this afternoon so mum has decided to take me out for lunch.

We have also go to take some money to the hospice where dad died as we have had all the collection from the charity football match come in £370 so that will be quite hard going back there.

Mum wants me to take her to the garden centre too so that she can get some new hanging baskets for the front of the house so that's most of my day gone!

DSS lives with his mum in the week and has asked nicely if I can make him some biscuits to take back to go in his lunch box so will have to do those later as well, plus I prommised IT at w*** that I would make more biscuits for them as they claimed they were so nice! :T

Breakfast - Birds meat paste on the HM bread toasted
    Lunch - Carvery
Tea - no sure yet something light

Have a good one all - take care

Nutty - I use this flour as well sometimes - is it the granary one - if so I follow the instructions and it turns out ok - I always leave it to cool right down before slicing it (after taking the end of when it is still hot so I can slaver it in butter mmnnnhh)

    Afternoon Everyone

Still not feeling great, heads feel abit off IYKWIM:D
Washload has been hung out by DD:eek: and have just uploaded 15 items onto Ebay for a week. Have a few auctions finishing today and some will need to be re-listed, but hopefully it will be another £15 or so for my signature;) and bank balance.

Chicken is in oven and smells delish! It is a free range organic one from Sainsburys and was reduced to 90p....so cant grumble at that. DD has asked for a roast dinner even though she is at Pizzahut later:rolleyes: OH has done a quick sweep through and is all orderly..lol.

Will catch up later. Hugs to all.

    Morning,

Haven't posted here fr a while as I never seem to have anything to say - I still read though.
Got some good news last week. I've got a new job :j It's a job I've wanted for a while, still with the same company, but nearer to home and a bit more money too so I'm well chuffed:T
Well today is going to be a lazy day, me and the boyf have on what we call our comfy clothes, which means T-Shirt and long shorts for him, and T-Shirt and jogging bottoms for me. We won't be going out anywhere today as we've only just woken up - that's what we get for playing Buzz with my sister and BIL until half 3 in the morning.
I might go into the garden later to sort out my green house if I can be bothered, but it's drizzling and a bit cold, so no doubt I'll stay on the computer a bit longer. Don't know about anyone else, but in West Yorkshire it seems to have rained almost every weekend for ages.
Yesterday I bought 2 huge pans and did some batch cooking of chilli and spag bol using up all the mince I got reduced for 50p each (8 packets).
The only thing I'm going to make myself do today is write a letter to my sister in Nicaragua.
