r.mac - Fingers X'd for your penultimate (and then final) exams. That's great news on the Red freebies :T :T Enjoy!

    Morning all :hello:

PP - you're so lucky to have found all those bargains! I can never seem to find any jumble sales to go to - either that or it's on a weekend when I'm not actually around!

Rzl - You always sound so busy! I hope that your blueberry muffins go down well.

    Aussielass - happy mothers day!

Prudent - have a very relaxing day!

r.mac - best of luck for your exam tomorrow. Try to relax a little today.

jw - I hope you're feeling ok today.

Everyone else - have a fantastic day!

OH has had to go off to work this morning. He's "on call" this weekend, which normally means that he can control the network from home. However, something was put in incorrectly by a consultant on Friday and meant that he had phone calls all afternoon.

We're supposed to be going to a rugby match this afternoon. Fingers crossed that OH gets back in time, otherwise it'll be me, 16,500 fans and 15 gorgeous pairs of legs (not bothered about the opposition) :D

I sent off two more invitations for our wedding yesterday afternoon. OH had been quite slow in getting his friends' addresses to my mum............ So I had to write them! She's already had one reply (acceptance) - from OH's parents! :D Apparently the wording of their reply was something along the lines of "we would be delighted to attend the marriage of your daughter with our son". :rotfl: I think my mum appreciated the sentiment. :D

Anyway, I've got loads of washing up to do (left over from last night  ) and a huge pile of ironing

Was a lovely day here yesterday - OH will take the kids swimming just after lunch - he forgot it was wall to wall footie on - the kids didnt mind as long as they went on one on the days - I just hoovered yesterday.
Went out for a lovely walk after dinner last night - we live right on the edge of the country - clapped a lovely young timerous (sp) Clydesdale horse, a small Shetland pony who had a hairstyle like Limahl and a donkey - on the way back we had a large field of bullocks - the kids where fascinated by their not so nice habits - wont go into as peeps will be eating breakfast. - but it was a nice couple of hours

Well it is a lovely day here in again Glasgow - bright blue skies - will go and see what we are needing freshened up for going to Blackpool next weekend.
Will tidy the house when OH is out .... I do like some time to myself means I get more done then I can sit and enjoy the sunshine
Will be popping into our friends tonight after we drop the kids off - see how they are a give them hugs - hopefully cheer them up.
Just watching cats in garden - there is a large insect thing (not sure what it is) and the youngest is trying to play with it ..............problem solved just washed it away out into the path with a jug of water.

    b/l - bacon and something
d - roast chicken, sweetcorn, mashed pots, carrots, yorkies and gravy

    Have a lovely day all

    Morning all

Early on this morning, when I let the dogs out for their morning patrol, I ventured down to Worm City and was able to put the lid back on. Thankfully, there wasn't a worm in sight - I'm sure all the cold rain had them squirming for somewhere warm in the middle of the heap! Trouble is, now I'm going to be too scared to lift the lid again. Ah well, I'm sure it will take the contents a couple of days to warm back up after its dousing with a night of rain, so maybe I'll get away with it for tonight's instalment of peelings, at least. I shall have to take a large piece of wood with me, in future, to give the lid a jolly good bashing before I lift it - or alternatively, I can use it to fight 'em back with. :rotfl:

I'm now on my second cuppa, before rounding up DS for his morning bath - during which time I shall whip up a banana (using the 3 OAP bananas that are languishing in the fruit bowl, glowering at their younger cousins) and coconut cake for tea this afternoon, which can bake while I'm having my bath.

Other than that, all I've got to do today is steer the lovely freecycle vac. around downstairs and plant some chilli seeds that should have been planted ages ago but they've only just arrived. All DS's school uniform is washed and ironed already. I'm looking forward to some time off in the middle of the day - and depending on the weather, I'll either knit while we watch the Serenity DVD or we'll take DS to the park for a bit more bike practice. Oh, and I'll try and catch the final episode of last week's House of Shouty Children on Telewest Replay, before this week's lot start up tonight.

    Food is easy today :

B : Marmite toast followed by Coco Pops for DS, Jam on toast for me, something involving beans and toast for DH.
    L : Sandwiches or Soup.
D : Toad in the hole with caramelised onion, broccoli, carrots, peas.

Hugs to all that need them - hope you all have a great Sunday.
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Hiya everyone

Just had a quick catch up on the daily threads and after this am about to hit the shower and get on with the day.

r.mac - thanks for the Red mag thing - I had a copy turn up the other day and I know I only ordered it for a freebie - but I had no idea what i should be expecting - if it turns up, so much the better, if not - ah well! Good luck with the exams too.

Had a nice day out yesterday - mum directed us to the lakes via the back roads so took ages but we did stop at a falconry centre for lunch and a look at the birds. Unfortunately it was too cold and windy for a decent flying display.

However, at the end of the afternoon, I went to the Lakeland shop. Remind me NEVER to believe my mum when she says she knows where it is!! THREE times I asked her before we left and said I'd go ont ehinternet to get directions, but no, it was sooooo easy to find - she knew EXACTLY where it was. Hmmmm - 40 mins and an extra 10miles later! We'd kept missing it by about 100 yds :D

Anyway - bought some bits and bobs. Even better, we asked that because we'd spent over £55 (we paid for everything together) could we have the free gift that you get on an internet order (if ya don't ask, ya don't get) Yippee - we got a 'lock n lock' storage box which I've let mum have. Also, she forgot to charge for my garlic press (which we didn't notice till we got home and were splitting the bill) Had fish supper at mum's and watched Dr Who, then came home. Had a lovely bath and when my head hit the pillow at 10.30 - I was straight to sleep!!

So, today is an easy day (I hope) Need to put SC on in a bit as am going to do a beef casserole for tea. Will have to do ironing at some point today too. It's quite bright here today so will do some washing and get it on the line. Mr TM and his mate are due home soon so best make sure there is plenty of hot water :D:D

Hope everyone had a fab day :T

Morning all! I actually slept in till 9.30am :D a personal best! Im normally awae really early. so I suspect it has something to do with going to bed with a storming headache and feeling pretty exhausted!

Today my plans are to go food shopping for the week as im going to be at home and will have time to cook some nice meals, take a long bath and do things like a face mask, and to start the dreaded revision. I need to make some serious headway into it as the exam is two weeks away and I only have a clear week to get most of it done.

Got some lovely sunshine here today too so I think I may go out and enjoy it for a while!

Hope you all have a good day!

    Morning OS-ers

Bargain Rzl - just reading your post wore me out! Enjoy the freebie lunch

VickyA - hope your team do better this afternoon than mine did on Friday night; well & truly beaten they were.

r.mac - fingers crossed for the exam tomorrow

    Aussielass - happy mothers day!

Pooky - hope you got some bargains at the bootsale (and not too many grumbles for making everyone get up at the crack of dawn)

As for me, I've had quite a busy morning so far, DW emptied, non DW items washed up, WM on, glass top kitchen table cleaned, pork out of freezer for tea, enormous fruit salad made & now I'm about to start ironing.
I also plan to go to Tesco for some frozen summer fruits, they're reduced to £1 a pack & we love summer pudding in this house. I have made room in the outside freezer for them.
My plan for today was to paint the bathroom, but I'm not feeling very motivated. OH is out playing football on Friday night & there's no rugby to watch, so I think I'll do it then instead. Probably.................
