    Hello everyone

Glad you lot down south have sunshine, Make the most of it - I have woken to grey skies and periodical heavy rain. Hey ho - and I'm taking my mum and the boys to the Lake District for the day - on the understanding that we detour via the Lakeland shop on the way home :j :j

Racy - followed your link to see what "gift" someone will be getting and had to laugh. I didn't realise it was YOU who started the thread :D Oh, and no thanks, I'll not be taking up that offer today, if ya don't mind.

Mr TM has a friend staying over ATM - they are taking people out to do their Gold D of E this weekend - which means camping out... or should i say bivouacing. LOL - what a night to bivvy out in - rain, wind and yet more rain. Rather them than me :D

So, probably very little OS for me today. I'm hoping mum will stand us all lunch as I'm driving but I'll take some cartons of juice and fruit for the boys anyway. Just need to take the last load of washing off the airer as didn't get time to put it on line last night.

Had a lovely 'me' night yesterday BTW - foot spa, wax bath for my hands, face pack, glass of bubbly and found the repeat of last week's Doctor Who, so I was sorted :D

Ok, off to wash my hair, get ready and off to pick mum up soon. Have a good one everyone.

    Morning everyone

Didn't sleep well last night and was up at 5am!!! Thought i would sleep like a log as DH and I went for a bike ride yesterday and rode for miles and i was shattered when we came back. My legs have found muscles they didnt know they had!!!!!! Got loads of housework to do and washing but it looks very cloudy and dark here at the moment so not sure whether to put it out or not. Gonna do some batch cooking today as well (if i can fit it in) and put the SC on - chilli for tea i think.

DD1 has been invited to try out for the school swimming team on Monday and she is very excited - i hope she does well - it would be good for her as she has never really been interested in anything involving exercise whilst her sister is sports mad so it makes a change for her to be in the spotlight as regards to something sporty.

Well i suppose i should get a move on and start on the cooking and housework.

Hope everyone has a good day

    Morning.

Gosh its miserable here today. really grey skies and chucking it down. Good job i had time off in the week to do my washing. :rotfl: Will stick some on anyway today and get it on the airers.

My plan is a day of school work. Although i'm going to pop to the local shop first to get a few supplies for the week. Hopefully i'll get to ASDA next week as we haven't been for nearly a month and are seriously low on a few bits.

If i go shopping early and while the weather is like this there shouldn't be a big queue. ;)

I have a sore throat and headache again this morning so the pace may be slow, but i'm determined i have to get on.

PP - way to go on finishing your assignment. Now you can enjoy the weekend with your daughter.

Jo - flirt to your hearts content. Now there's no need to feel guilty.

Will no doubt be back later when i crave some adult conversation.

    See ya

Been awhile since I posted, DH is still at home and is slowly driving me round the bend.

JW1096: Sorry to here that you've split with the BF but I'm sure that its for the best. Enjoy the male attention and get used to being yourself again and not just half a couple.

Everybody else hope you have a good day.

I am well and truely back on the OS wagon now although my spending is completely out of control for this month but I'll sort that when DH gets paid on the 20th. Its raining and misarable here today so the nappies that have just finished washing will have to go into the dryer, fortunately everything else has been washed in the week so nothing else to wash today.

Plan for the rest of the day is to make some pizzas for the freezer, make a batch of biscuits for lunches this week and tidy up the pile of tools in the porch so I'm not panicing every time dd goes in there.

    Breakie: Tea and toast
    Lunch: Mini pizza
    Tea: Fajitas
    Enjoy your day everyone.

Came down to do dad's washing which has been soaking in napisan overnight - It is pouring with rain!
May have to dry it on radiator before going to hospital later.

Dd (12) has now got Dia*****a - I hope she did not pick it up in hospital and that it is just a coincidence.

She definately cannot got tonight and either I or her older sister will have to stay with her. He will not be amused!

Got last nights dishes done and about to do Dds washing which has been neglected a bit.

Made rolls with sausage for brekkie and have french bread dough in the BM ready to bake later.

JW - enjoy yourself pet - you deserve it! I love CSI too and your comment about feeling alone when you were with him is just so sad and proves you did the right thing. If you were one of my daighters I would be tempted to go down there and Handbag him! lol;)

We're heading off to stay with friends this weekend, so I'm in the middle of throwing a few things in a bag for all us.

Kitchen has been cleaned, hoovered and mopped this morning, WM and TD both on (it's raining  ) but that's about it.

I'm going to make some bacon butties in a mo, and we're treating DD to maccies on the way up to our friends, our friend has made shep's pie for DH and DD, 'cos we're going out for dinner, and then on to a pub to see a band - NOT very OS me thinks ;)

Anyway, better dash ((((hugs)))) to all
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Good morning everyone,

Didnt sleep well last night, but had a lovely lie in til 9, when DS brought me up a cup of tea, which was lovely!!!! He has football tomorrow instead of today, so its nice to be still in my pjs at the moment, knowing we dont have to rush!!!!
We all have an appointment to have our eyes tested later this afternoon (DS isnt happy, he wanted to watch the FA cup, but his team isnt playing, so its the eye test instead!!!) I had to change the appointment from next Sat, as DS has football which was meant to be the Sunday, but they changed it!!!! Also have a mystery shop to do, but looks a straight forward one, so should be ok.
Right, must go and hang some washing out, lovely day here today, and hopefully should stay that way (fingers crossed)!!!

Jo - Im sure you have made the right decision and glad you you feel more positive this morning x

Elona - hope your dad is feeling better today, you sound like you are doing a wonderful job, and im sure once he is feeling better, he will appriciate it more x

Racy - your story in the sorting office yesterday made me laugh out loud, thank you (and im tempted to order one, havnt decided yet !!!!)

    (((((HUGS))))) to everyone

Hope everyone has a lovely day, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hugs to everyone

PP - well done on finishing your TMA - bet your DD is glad her SATS are over with

Elona - my friend is in the same situation with her FIL - she is left running up and down to the hospital, working and washing her FIL PJ's

Jo - glad to hear you are feeling up beat today - flirting is good for the soul

It is a lovely day here today so far. - there is a load of footie on the TV and OH has promised to take the kids swimming - I am going to stay here and tackle the housework.

Made a lovely mango salsa last night to go with the fajitas - DSD actually ate the spicy chicken - usually she likes here chicken plain but she ate it spicy (with no veg of course) - watched MI3 (well I fell asleep of course)

My friend sent me a text last night - her FIL only has 6 wks max to live - I called her to talk and it seems they operated on his twisted bowel and found a massive cancerous tumour and other tumours - they are all devastated but at least they have time to say goodbye etc - he hasnt been told yet - she said they may tell him today - but he is so mentally alert that is is had to believe he has so little time.

    b/l - not sure
d - HM pizza, chicken and garlic bread

    Have a lovely day all
    Take care

:o:o Oooh it wasn't me! I wouldn't know where to find such things! :o:p All I did was posted the money-off code which was also in the envelope. This was the original link.

It's not very convincing TBH, and is fit only for a giggle over a few bottles of vino - or so I'm told by those who know about such things

I'm glad you have said are not getting one (now I know who to give it to for her birthday ladies ;) ) :D

Catowen, see if they will let you specify the colour... trust me, you do not want mustard yellow  :rotfl:
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    Morning all,

It's 10:21 and I'm still in my jim jams!
DH was on early-doors duty with DD .... who slept in until past 7, so not too bad for him either!

No washing to do today fortuitously as it is very soggy outside.
I still haven't planted my herbs, I may just have to brave the rain tonight and do it then ... or watch Dr Who! 1st of all I've got to watch last weeks ....

Last night I did very little and it was bliss. Long soak in the bath, manicure and pedicure. DH came in half way through and noticed I'd painted my toe nails, told me they looked good and were they for my new sandals - I was shocked at how observant he was, I dunno why really because he ain't bad, but I was still surprised

Today I have got to go and get my ma's birthday card and pressie - she's decided she wants a laminator, I've seen them in both Woolies and WH Smiths for £19.99, so that's obviously the going price.

Might venture to the farm shop for some veg, and there's a butcher about 11 miles away which I keep driving past and thinking looks good - so I may brave that also. I'm used to getting my meat from a farm shop where it is already pre-cut, so a real live butcher's is a little daunting. Sad, I know!

I think I'll have to plan exactly what I want/need and write it down, otherwise I know I'll woos out and just get mince / stewing steak, when I really want some diced pork and lamb chops!!

Jo - Good luck with your new found freedom, I know how hard a break-up can be, even from someone who you know you are better off without, just hang on in there and keep busy! (and I'm sorry, but I'll echo the others when I had been wondering when you would "come to your senses" about him). ((hugs))

Elona - sorry to hear about your dd, she'll soon bounce back but it's no fun.

Right, suppose I ought to own up to being awake and relieve DH of DD duty as I know he wants to get plastered .... (the dining room walls, that is!)
