I've had a horrendously busy few weeks in work and haven't had much time to post. My job was a temp thing and was to end in a couple of weeks. I got a call from a job agency for an interview for a much longer term temping job so I interviewed, got an offer, and handed in my notice (1 week). 5 days before I had to leave I got a call my new job had fallen through and my notice had been accepted and a new person lined up to take my job.

My last day was wednesday and at 5.00 as I was leaving, ready to sob about being unemployed I got a call from a place I'd interviewed 5 weeks ago for offering me a better job, more money and good holidays!

I'd spent a rotten weekend worrying and also have a very very ill friend to worry about so it was an amazing relief, (still worried about the friend) but in true money saving expert stylee I'm starting the new job in a week, have a weeks paid holiday from my agency and have also scored for a temp job for that week so I'll get holiday pay and also work to earn!

    YAY! :D

    Morning Everyone

Didnt sleep well last night, but never mind!

WM is on and DW was emptied last night. Washing will be put on line as weather appears nice so far. House is clean and sparkly as cleaner was only here yesterday. Ran out of kitchen paper towel yesterday so cleaner used newspaper with the vinegar solution....her choice ...honest:p ;):D

DD has been given no HW this weekend but is going to write a diary of what we do over the weekend to hand in anyway:D

We were going to have Spagbol last night but ended up doing a huge lasagna with chips and salad, and made enough to freeze 6 further portions...costing about £3.50 for the whole lot:eek:

Have finished my Essay and just have to document a few answers on a sheet theyve given me and will hand in on Monday. Then get cracking on the next one...LOL.

    Will catch up later;)

Breakie:Porridge with blueberries (reduced to 20p last night)
    Lunch:Baked Spud, ham and salad
Dinner: Toad In Hole, Mash and veg

    Hugs to all.

    PP
    xx

If this is classed as your "bad week", I would love to hear about one of your good ones!

    This is a bad week:-

Monday - Utilities firm asked for access to my house at 8am to fit new pipe lining inside old (100 yrs) pipe work from the street to my meter inlet. It went quite well until they had a problem and started to dig up the garden, then the cncrete path then the floorboards.
On completion of the job (7pm) they..." couldn't put my gas back on and a contractor would be along shortly".

Tuesday - Contractor arrived at 2pm to connect meter and do a pressure test. Of course that failed and he told me I would have to call out a CORGI qualified gas fitter. I organised this for Wednesday morning 10am.

Wednesday - No gas fitter arrived!.

Thursday - 1pm fitter turner up, quickly found and repaired the leak. Done the test again and failed. After an hour of chasing pipework he concluded that the leak was on the inside of the oven and he, "didn't do ovens". He then tried to do me a favour and put the fire back but first he would do a flow test. Of course that also failed and the result is that I have to have my chimmney swept and youv'e guessed it Iv'e just decorated!! His charge for leaving me without an oven and gas fire - a very reasonable £120!.

Friday - Spent all day on the internet (8hrs) searching for a matching Hob and oven to no avail but I have calculated for all of those items above I will probably have to spend in excess of £1000 and then get the fitter back out to connect and test them again (another very reasonable £120).

I too have a seriously ill friend but with all that has, and still is going on, I have had no time to visit. Was able to phone though and, yes, youv'e guessed right again - we were cut off!

Looking forward to next week as it can't be as bad as this one - can it?

    Morning all
Had an early night last night so I feel refreshed this morning.

Wrote my first meal planner yesterday and I'm off to Tescos in a while to get what I need.
I am also going to buy the Superdrug breadmaker, anyone got one yet?

Got hayfever bad today I keep having to wip my screen everytime I sneeze:rotfl: ;)
I am debating if to buy my veg at the farm shop rather than Tescos, what do you think?
