JW, If it feels like the right thing to have done, then it probably is the right thing to have done ((((hugs))))) you deserve better
Catowen, hope your tests are OK Nice one with the potatoes
PP (((((hugs hun)))) Sounds like you are having a rough week.
I hope those with ill family members look after themselves as well as their loved ones.
W**k was so carp this week that I'm really glad it is the weekend. Just had one of those weeks when every time I looked up/picked up the phone there was someone whinging at me coz "their" particular problem wasn't high enough on my priorities list  Ended the week with more outstanding work than I had at the beginning. something to do with a massive increase in my work load for zero extra pay perhaps   You know when you get so fed up that you really don't give a damn anymore?
And look who is whinging now! :rotfl:
I'm off into the sunshine for a bit and to have a long mumsy type chat with my "teenage" mid seventies Dad.... His GF is giving him the run around (good for her, he deserves it!)
Hope you all have a great dayMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Awwwww Racy. Is there anybody on this board who really enjoys their job? (and for the purposes of this question, SAHMs don't count).
I've currently on the other end of the "other people's priorities" problem, in that everybody has so much going on this week that I always seem to be bottom of their list, however nicely I ask  (a big part of my job is monthly reporting, and people are always reluctant to get their contributions to me on time! When I took my current position I was told there would be less of an emphasis on monthly reporting - which I had already been doing for four years - but am actually doing more monthly reporting but on a less interesting level )
Oops, my boss just walked past behind me - hope she didn't see what I was writingOperation Get in Shape

Hello all,
I'm currently enjoying some home made quiche at my desk while supposedly working through lunch as I have to go to a hospital appointment later on to see about getting my wisdom teeth taken out. I don't know, first the cat, then me with teeth troubles!
JW, as other have said, maybe it's time to re-assess & move on. My previous boyfriend was pretty lazy/inept around the house/unsupportive. He did work but constantly moaned about it. He always said that when I qualified (accountancy training) he could give up work! Yeah, right! I never actually considered that I could just leave. We had no ties (no children, mortgage etc), and then one day I just woke up & thought "what on earth am I doing?". It was hard to make the break but I was so much happier for it & now have a really lovely boyf with a very similar outlook on life to me. I feel it is a much more equal relationship & I feel so much more "myself" if anyone knows what I mean.
Hugs to all those who are feeling under the weather themselves or have poorly friends & relatives.
Off to the pub after work for the regular Friday meet up with friends. Hopefully it will still be warm & sunny enough to sit out. Our chef friend has made some tandoori curry for us so that sounds good. He normally makes enough to feed an army so should last for a few meals if we portion up & freeze. One set of friends may stay over as they aren't in walking distance of the pub & it saves them taxi fare. In that case they can share the curry & we'll have some heated rounds of "Uno" & "Yahtzee"!
I'm not sure of the plan for the rest of the weekend. I haven't seen the weather forecast. It will involve a run, a Body Pump class, doing some washing & ironing, a changeover of wardrobe from winter wear to summer (watch out for rapid change of weather back to antartic next week!), church & whatever else comes along.
Have a good one all,

Hi all
I hate to upset anyone, but I love my job, lol, am only a lowly reprographics technician though.
I spent 15 years running my own business, making data cables but lost the business when I got divorced.
My job in repro keeps me fit, I walk approx 12000 steps a day, I'm happy to strip out the machinery when it clags & I'm my own boss & I prioritise my workload. I also recieve lots of chocolates & bottles of wine from staff members when I get a job done extra quickly for them.

Hello all on this gloriously sunny day!!:hello:
Hope everyone is ok. Thoughts go out to those who are unwell or have people close to them that are unwell.:grouphug:
Jo, your bloke sounds like a nightmare, I have read your posts about him up until now and he doesn’t sound at all supportive of you. Reading about him reminds me of my ex, what a waste of space he was!! Part of my debt was due to him!! Love was certainly blind and when he was out of work I was paying his rent, bills, food etc as well as mine!! Needless to say didn’t get a penny of it back and I wised up and got shot of him!!! You need to think about yourself hun xx
Don’t feel 100% today but that’s due to the time of the month! Got a magnet thing that is helping loads, get really bad pains, if anyone has got any good ideas I’m willing to try them out!!
Brekkie was bran flakes and milk
Lunch was pitta bread with salad and cheese, kiwi fruit, apple and a greek yoghurt with honey
Dinner will be tuna, pasta, sauce and salad.
Am working tonight again! Worked last night, wasn’t a bad night as there was a birthday party and got given a piece of cake! Yum! Bit of drama there as one lady is threatening to leave!! Not sure if it was too many voddies or not! Should be busy tonight but working with some right twits! Working again tomorrow and Sunday and Monday! He ho, more money to come off the debts though and to go towards my holiday, can’t wait!! Only 62 days til I go!!!!!:j
Walked 4315 steps so far today!:D

Back at w**k after my hospital appointment. Wish I could have snuck off home to enjoy an extra hour of sun, but practically had to drive past work so didn't dare risk it! My wisdom teeth have to come out under general anaesthetic  . Just have to wait for an appointment to come through now. The doc said it should be 2-3 months from now.
