    Good evening

Just got on here, so done quick catch up with the news.

Last night we went out & picked up 2 things we bought on ebay - a morphy richards fastbake BM (not tried it yet - not had time) and a computer desk to replace the one we had which was falling to pieces! So after DS's piano lesson, have spent the rest of the day trying to sort out the office area in the dining room. I am trying not to put junk back where I found it, so this is all taking rather a long time, as there is SOOOOO much junk here!

I think this is going to be a long haul!

hope you had a good day!

    Evening all.

Had a rubbish day at work, we weren't busy at all, so I got stuck on the counter, serving the customers while everyone else got to sit round the back and have a chat and a giggle.

This evening was nice though, went to my mum's (free dinner - yay!) as my nan and grandad were down for a visit, we sat, ate, drank and chatted - was really lovely. Grandad's looking rather frail, which is a bit of a worry, but he's 88 so is to be expected really.

    Hope all's well with everyone.

    Hurrah Hurrah!! It's Friday HURRAH!!!

At last it's that magical day called "Friday"....if it wasn't for Saturday and Sunday (and bank hols) it'd be my most fav day of the week.

Thursday was a right nightmare, I was soooo tired it was unreal, even had problems seeing I was so knackered. Silly old me went home at lunch time...big mistake!!! I couldn't resist the call of my bed and so hopped in for a quick 40 winks. i ended up taking two hours for lunch. Ugh, how embarrassing. Made up one of those c0ck and bull stories, don't think anybody believed me though.

It was my intention to go to bed at 9.00 pm last night, however kitty Ted decided to do a disappearing act at around 6.00 pm. He's usually an indoor cat, so I was climbing the walls. I even went for a drive to see if he had been a victim of an accident. At 1.15 am I went for a final walk around outside, and there he was! He was rather grubby, v.thirsty and quite peckish. The other one, little baby Dylan, seems to have forgotten who Ted is and has been cowering in the corner since his return. And to top it all I still can't sleep...I really do want to give up!

My OS meals are still fundamentally rubbish...invariably I have breakfast cereal for two meals, some days every meal. I might have a nibble at some fruit but I am finding it v.difficult to vary what I have, or be bothered to cook. Even boiling some rice or pasta seems to be beyond me at the moment.

One more day at w*** then it's the weekend...whooppee. It's going to be devoted to study but at least I don't have to go and sit in an office and be nice to the stuffed shirts.

Elona, yes, I think it might be a good idea to have lots of pyjamas for your dad, then you can do one or two washes for your dad in the week rather than have to do them every evening. You've got enough to think about without having to do a load of washing every day as well. It's obviously tough going for you - don't forget to be kind to yourself and plan some time out.

I hope everyone else is OK. I think I might be able to sleep now so am going to jump into bed before I get lively again.

    Bye all

Morning Snowyowl, morning ageandjo, morning everyone :hello:

Hospital tests today, so even though I don't have to I am up bright and early

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Last weekend we did a whole load of batch cooking and it has worked really well having some meals ready in the freezer. So this weekend I'll do the same, probably chicken curry this time.

I'm going to sort through my clothes and get rid of those I have shrunk out of - I have no intention of growing back into them. It will make more space in my wardrobe too.

Breakfast: oats, fruit and HM yoghurt - with a glass of orange juice
Lunch: we are taking some HM rolls with us to the hospital
Dinner: haven't got a clue yet!

Have a lovely OS weekend everyone!
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

    Morning Guys

Snowyowl-Sorry to hear that your OS cooking isnt kicking off. Whats your fav meals? Could you cook up some Spagbol or Sausage Casarole and freeze the remainders? Maybe add herbs you like etc. Slow cooker is a marvolous thing, you just throw everything in and it normally tastes great! Hugs.

Didnt sleep well last night and think im worrying about things ATM:confused:

Beds need to be stripped once DD & OH get out of pits as the cleaner is here today and makes up with fresh bedding. Nothing else needs to be done around the home again as cleaner is here. Im glad actually as I dont feel great and when your house is all clean and sparkly it makes me feel much better. I love housework and always have done...i must be bad..LOL. Even when I was working FT, things had to be done in a special way:rolleyes:

Have done a little more of my course this morning and upto 909 words and only need a 1000, so that should easily be done today. Then a few other questions to answer and it can be sent off tomorrow, then the next TMA is due end of May-but will start next week to keep on top of it all. Really enjoying it but it can be challenging sometimes:eek:

OH is tydying up the back garden today as he has been sawing the skirting out there and is a few bits of wood etc that need clearing away. Would also like to get a few colourful cheap potting plants to go into the big cheapy tubs to brighten it up abit out there.....and suggestions:confused:

Last day of DD's SATS today:j :T  so she is very happy.

Anyway, I hear movement upstairs so best go and will call back in later.

    Breakie:Beans on Toast
    Lunch:Baked Spud, Ham and salad
Dinner:Spagbol (lamb), garlic bread and salad

    Hugs to everyone.

    Hi PP

I bought some cheap busy lizzies at B&Q last week and they are already flowering! They are half price at ATM, they look colourful and brighten the place up a little.

As for worrying in your sleep try listening to a relaxation cd whilst dozing off it worked for me!

Hi PP - it's a motivation problem, it seems to be affecting a lot of things right now. You'll be horrified to hear that the house is like a tip - any attempt at tidying up gets abandoned pretty soon after starting. Maybe after my exams I'll get my butt in gear again.

I'm glad your uni course is going well and that you're enjoying it. I am not glad that you're having sleeping problems and spending time worrying. Worrying is a hard habit to break but please try not to as it rarely solves anything, maybe bend OH's ear a bit more so that you can get some of the stress of worry out.

AppleMint - have a fab time getting rid of your bigger clothes. How fabulous a chore is that, you lucky thing!
