My comfrey plants came this morning so I have been in the garden planting them out.
Our lovely neighbour has just given me about 60 plant pots that she had piled up in their shed.So I wont have to buy any pots ever again
Its a beautiful day here,so ofcourse I am having to wait in for a delivery man (hopefully 2, Ebuyer and Amazon).
Breakfast was fruit and fibre(it was 10p in Asda else far too extravagant for me)
Lunch most likely sardine sandwiches
tea spag bol as its far too hot to spend any amount of time in our kitchen.
I really need some new shorts this year so Im going to have to think about wether I am going to make some or buy some.If I make them,I get exactly the style I want etc but must hunt around for the material,if I buy some,I'll probably wear them to death to justify the expense like I did last time
 Im leaning towards making them.
Have a lovely day everyone

Gemmaj...chocolate cake...oh yum, yes please, and a great big cup of coffee too please!
I'm half asleep - up half the night, so what's new!? I could quite happily put my head down on my desk and nod off, need a bucket or two off coffee washed down with a gallon of coke.
My project for the day is to keep peepers open and focussed (can't keep focus, it's awful, am living in a blur!) until I at least get home.
PP sorry you're not so well today.
Elona - glad to her your dad is looking better, the positive reaction he gets from his visitors will be a tonic to him.
Just one more get up until the weekend!! (Sorry, somebody said that earlier, didn't they?)

Morning all....(((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to all those who need them.
Car in for MOT fingers crossed its ok,we had to spend a bomb on it last year.... service due next month.
Went to the Docs this morning I have to loose some wight, like 4 stone!!!!!.....I have a healthy diet as it is, so where I am going to cut down heaven only knows.......I have 4 weeks to loose 2 1/2 kilos..... thats my target weight loss for each month, looks like I will be existing on water,,,,,, no bread spuds pasta etc...... am allowed branflakes although porridge would be better, uuuuuuuuuugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! sick making.... I hate porrige with a passion, might manage muslie soaked in apple jiuce but porrige.... forget it..... also have to step up my exercise, which is difficult when you have fibromyalgia...... not making excuses honest walking can be very painful at times, I do garden, but refuse to take up bowling, swimming is an option, we now have free sessions for over 60's at our local baths, but I will not go whilst the children are on holiday, its bedlam.....
Laundry out two loads drying.... also spent an hour putting the plants in their pots on the patio, we are away from tomorrow for a week but a friend is going to keep an eye on things and water if it gets very dry. OH is bowling this afternoon, not sure what I am going to do was going to bake, but baking is off the list, OH can suffer with me..... we live on a very restrictive income which is why I am OS..... the Doc said eat plenty of fruit and fresh veg, salad etc if you get hungry, fine, but is she going to pay for it????? NO!!!! I did buy some celery yesterday so will be ciutting up celery and carrots into batons they will do for a snack, I eat at least 2 pieces of fruit a day and either 3 veg or salad......... I have to eat off a small plate not a dinner plate as well although how that will fool my stomach into thinking its full beats me.
Oh I am going, will be moaning on for ages otherwise......
Have a good day......................

gemmaj wrote:My weekends were turning into an epic (and expensive) shop-and-clean, so I am trying to get everything done during the week so I can reclaim my weekends.
I've already started trying to book my evenings out in town mainly for weekdays, as Saturday's the one day of the week I don't have to be in Central London already, and it's nice to have a day off commuting! I also try to avoid being out in town on Friday evenings, as the pubs/bars are so busy and I hate travelling on the last train home with all the drunks
But I've yet to get the balance right with all the chores  I'd love to have everything over and done with during the week, but am often so tired after work that I don't fancy cooking or cleaning (and then most evenings I also sink a couple of glasses of wine which knocks me out for good!)
Trouble is, I have this sneaking suspicion that if I didn't have to get up to do housework on Saturdays, I'd cop out and stay in bed watching telly all day!
Anyway...
Let me know how you get on and maybe you can give me some tipsOperation Get in Shape

Blimey this is a first for me - working from home & my first visit to OS is not until after 12! I have been an eager beaver this morning.
OH is off today, so he's been outside sorting the garden as it's such a nice day. The lawnmower has had it's first outing of the year (started first time!) & there's a flower on my magnolia (wanted one for years). I had a mega long day yesterday (340 mile round trip ) so I'm sloping off at 3 today & we're off to Blackpool for a few games of frisbee on the beach followed by fish n chips for tea.
A lovely freecycle member has sent me a PAYG sim she didn't want & that arrived this morning, so thanks to Joan. (I don't want to take my work phone on holiday with me, cos I'd get pestered to death!)
Only skim-read the thread, so hugs to all who need them;
PP & cha97michelle, hope you're both feeling a bit better
Queenie congrats on the chucky-egg :j.
VickyA - "lady test" :rotfl: you're so refaaiined (said in best Hyacinth Bucket accent)!
enjoy the sun :wave:0 -
Early start this morning, and a half day off from work this afternoon.
WM been on and load dried and folded from the line.
DD been to playgroup, now at nursery.
DH has man flu.
B - cereal
L - beef and horseradish baps
D - no idea.
Right, off to find DH's chainsaw "chain" as apparently I mentioned I was going to go shopping for shoes, so he asked me to pick up a chain ... erm, howsat work then! Never bought one in my life .... ah well.
Then I'm going to go to the garden centre and pick up some bedding plants for potting up, and some herbs for a newly created herb patch, that currently only has thyme, thyme, thyme and marjoram!
Oh and we've got dentist's appointments this afternoon. It's taken us 2.5yrs to find an NHS dentist, we both have a filling and he's got both of the fillings wrong, so we're going back today to get him to sort them out - unimpressed, moi?!
What a beautiful day it is! Pity the weather forecast sucks for the w/e. Sigh.GC - March 2024 -0 -
Afternoon Guys
Queenie-Great news about the chook:D
Back from hospital and Warfarin levels a little low but within range. Consultant emailed this morning telling me that Blood count is 5.1:eek: and should be 12+  he emailed yesterday but didnt put the level in...apparently severly anaemic-they are looking into options but Iron Infusion is on cards first:mad:
On way home OH popped into Supersavers and Boots. We needed wet wipes and the only ones i like are their own brand and were on BOGOF but he used my points, so got 6 packets for nothing;) Supersavers-got some Astonish cooker cleaner £1 50% free and he has reported that Stardrops were 69p:rolleyes:a rip off compared to Asda at 58p:rotfl: furniture polish 49p and some hair clips for DD 39p...so a cheap morning.
In the post this morning I received 2 free samples of Lenor, 2 x £1 vouchers, 1 sample of Surf and a measuring cup from Ariel...lost my last oneAlso received my piggy bank from Pigsback which Im saving 20p's in:D .....so a good morning for freebies.
Washing is on the line and OH has nearly finished the skirting in DD's room. He has done some filling and needs to rub down and do abit of painting before cleaner comes tomorrow.
DD's SATS are going well and she has been very calm all week:cool: She is going to a party on Sunday at Pizzahut then going back to friends to watch a film and popcorn...sounds fab and shes already sorted out her outfit:rolleyes:
Anyway, I need some rest this afternoon, but hope everyone is OK and those who arent (((((Hugs))))))).

As I haven’t posted for a while I thought I would poke my head in and say hello!!:hello:
I’ve been really busy with studying lately as my exams start on 5th June!!! Not looking forward to it but I’ve been studying really hard, trying to squeeze in 20 hours a week in between day job and part time job. Am feeling pretty tired at the moment!!!:o
Got to stay in London for the exams! Bit of a trek from Sussex by the Sea!! Get to see my granddad though so that will be lovely, he’s great!:j
Additionally went to put on some of my summer clothes and they don’t fit:eek: , so upping my walking and trying to eat healthier now!
Been feeling quite down too which is partly why I’ve just been lurking and not posting. Feeling a bit better now though. Just feel like everything has been getting to me, nay mind, exams over in four weeks!!!
Blackpool looked wicked!!! I will definitely be on the lookout for the next one! And everyone looked so nice too! (And normal!!!!);)
Brekkie was bran flakes and milk.
Lunch was a wholemeal pitta with salad, beef and mustard, greek yoghurt with honey and an apple
Dinner will probably be pasta, tuna and salad
All very healthy!!! And so far today I have done 4296 steps! Will be walking home after work and am working in the pub tonight so will hopefully get up to 10,000 or more.
Hugs:grouphug: and happy thoughts to all who need them and all those who don’t, just nice to have hugs and happy thoughts!
Take care, chat soon xx
