Welcome Willow Girl - no need to be shy

Aussie Lass - nice piccies - you DGS is sooo cute

    Hugs to everyone else

Excuse the typing if there are any errors - I am currently trying to stop a cat needing cuddles from walking over the keyboard.

Had a long lie this morning - had to get up as we had 3 loud purring cats on the bed - one with the tin and 2 with bowls - think they wanted fed

didnt go out last night as friends dad is not too good - he has had a scan and there is a large growth/mass on his liver - they are just waiting for the results but as it is a Bank holiday they dont know when they will get them

Not much planned for today - everything is tidy - so I think I will spend the afternoon reading.

    b/l - sausages,eggs, toast, mushrooms and tomatoes
d - not sure - pasta for OH as he is nightshift tonight

    Have a lovely day all
    Take care

SAVINGFOROZ......ooohhhh what car boot sale? the whitchurch one? we normally go there but dh is in work at 2pm so not going today :-( if it is that one it should be huge today with the weather being so nice...they normally are on bank hols!! if its another do share which in case i dont know it!!

It was at the Community Centre at Longwell Green - no slow cookers  - now if I'd wanted a foot spa or steam iron, I'd have been spoilt for choice! Will continue the quest - am very tempted just to go and buy a new one but my new MSE streak is taking over!

Have heard good things about the Whitchurch one so will no doubt be popping along there sometime.

Rest of day - phone friends and arrange some fun social things to do!
Be an real MSEer and put together some financial goals
Watch a video with my favourite actor, Vincent D'Onofrio :j in it (swoons with lust at the thought...)
Cook soup to take to work next 2 days.
Cook chickpea and vegetable curry, yum yum.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone!

VickyA-Please accept my deepest sympathies hun. PM me if youd like a chat. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((VickyA)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Aussielass-Your picture is lovely and am soooooooooooooo jealous!!

BargainRzl-Wednesday pm should be fine as I have my SIL here tomorrow and at the hospital on thursday. The bootsale they were going to go to is in Orpington Leesons Hill and starts at lunch time, but they havent gone because of the weather. If you check the local Newshopper, sometimes there are bootsales or jumble sales right on our doorstep, as most of the bigger ones are quite a treck if you have no car:rolleyes:

Welcome Newbies and feel free to ask away any questions etc..we wont bite...honestly!! Nice seeing ya though:D welcome aboard!

OH managed to get the last washload on the line and has dried nicely. It is now dry here. Have had lunch and was scrummy. OH has been sorting out his office and DD has cleaned out the gerbils.

Im nearly done on my TMA:j so should get it all done today. I will be having a break in abit and watching Mission Impossible 2 with OH & DD as we would like to see the new 3rd one next week and cant remember the 2nd film..LOL.

Also, have nearly £200 towards DD's new uniform as me folks contributed at the weekend and mum is buying her shoes as well. FIL has offered to pay the rest about £225:eek: We also had a formal letter from the new school last week asking us to sign a form stating that DD will NOT be taking ANY holidays for the next 5 years in term time:cool: so that was signed and sent back yesterday. Holidays will be very limited me thinks over the next few years as we wont be able to afford school holiday prices unless im back working, which I cant see in the near future, but as ever DD's education is priority so she comes first no matter what. We also had a letter about a Geography trip to Switzerland next May for 5 days costing in the region of £500. Starting this month I am moving £50pm into an ING account just for DD's school trips and other bits needed-so this should cover trips and other expenses that may come up.

Anyway, Id best go and finish some more of me course. Have a great afternoon and evening guys.

    PP

    Hi all
Rotten nights sleep here, one of our neighbours locked her bf out, so he was hammering on the door on & off from 10 til 2 in the morning. I kept getting woken up, not very impressed at all!
Apart from that we've had a very quiet weekend, been to B & Q for some bits for the garden, got a line full of washing out, but will have to keep my eyes peeled as I'm sure it's going to raain again soon.
We will have roast lamb later, but for now I'm sitting around with a glass of Bucks Fizz.
    Hugs to all

Back again but only for a min as I really need to get on my spreadsheets.

Queenie - thanks again I will be confident and self assured (thats what I keep telling myself!) but cant wait for wednesday to be over.I really appreciate your motivational words.

VickyA - ((hugs)) to you and your family.

Smokey 112 - hope its good new for your friends Dad.

Bargain Rzl - yes we had a lovely chinese - cant remeber the name of the restaurant but your directins def helped. (Also had a quick sneak in Harrods - bght a choc eclair for DS - it was delish- and now have another Harrods Bag - how sad am I)

Willow girl & Hardup Hester - welcome to OS - I can honestly say its the most friendley and welcoming board, even some of the others on MSE are a tad scary.

Well its stopped raining here - sun appeared for a min then disappeared. Hope it continues to stay nice wherever you are.

Taking a little break as I'm shattered, 5 raspberry canes in, 2 gooseberry bushes and 2 american blueberries, 3 more rows of seeds and red shallot sets in. load of rubbish taken from one end of the garden to the other (not easy as garden is 110 foot long. Just have to get strawberry plants in now and a bit more of the garden dug and the fencing put up to stop the cats wrecking my hard work. I have to take a break at 5 to have tea and bath DD and then will carry on until it starts to get too dark to see.

Queenie - Thanks! Im going to have a lot of fun I can tell!

Moggins - Sure, no probs, might have to plant for december though as it'll probably take me that long to master a straight line!

Savingforoz - Im in Bristol too!! Where abouts are you? Im all sunny here in Fishponds! Youve just reminded me, I need to do a boot sale to get rid of the junk ive collected - Longwell Green is pretty close too so that would be handy. I dont have a slow cooker to sell unfortunately though!

LearningtoSave - I see you are close too!

    (((hugs))) to Vicky.

    Aftnoon!

Ive been busy, I went to a garden centre for fun and saw some fish that I fell in love with, so im now plotting on how to buy a mini fish tank for tropical fish! There was two and they were so cute and tiny, little yellow nemo style fish with the white stripes on them. Anyone know anything about having fish?

Ive also bought yet another window box and am about to purchase a rose bush on ebay from a gardening seller, he is selling black roses and they look awesome, but I think I might need to see if they are suitable for a window box first :o . If not, ill have to revert to plan b and go with anything pretty and flowery for this year. I just bought a really cool herb pot from out of town tesco that grows 5 different herbs, it was £8.49, I got home all excited, and found no seeds in it  So I took it back to the big tesco near home, which of course doesnt have any for a replacement, so I came home a bit annoyed with my money back. Ill have to make a special journey to out of town tesco to get another one later in the week. At least I got boyf some trousers for work, and I got the right size first time ;) without even knowing what size he is. I felt very clever! I must buy shoes too, but Ill do that anoher day.

The house is a bit of a tip as we had a guest last night, so I need to hoover and do the dishes, but that might have to wait a bit. ive also got to do the cat litter and some more laundry. I think I should spend the rest of the day indoors! My friend has just come back from the USA and brought me my favourite NyQuil cold and flu remedy, which ive never seen over here. Its the only thing that knocks me out which I like when im feeling ill - id rather sleep through it!

Anyway, ive got so much to do, ill be back later!

    Jo xx
