Afternoon all
Was so busy this morning didn't get time to post
Currently have a chuck roasting in the oven for tea, together with roast spuds, stuffing, sprouts, carrots, peas, gravy and bread sauce - yum! Was supposed to have it yesterday but I conned/demanded I get taken out for lunch
It's great to here about and see the pictures of the meet! Glad you all had a great time
DD (y2) is doing her SATS this week - but has no ideaThe school think it's best if they "don't know" they're doing it - so I can't even wish her good luck or really ask how it was
Never mind, I'm a bag of nerves anyway.
Oh well (((((hugs))))) to all - better go and peel some spuds!Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Afternoon everyone
Only had a quick whip through this thread so will have missed loads I'm sure and haven't had time to catch up on the weekends posts yet.
I'm well and truly cream-crackered after the meet, but it was fab :T Came home to Mr TM who handed over responsibility for kids, house and tea as soon as I walked through the door, so my calm inner me left home again :rotfl: He got beans on toast for tea tooWill have an early night tonight tho.
Hmmm - the concensus of opinion seemed to be that I would be shorter, older (looking at least) - a stereo-typical older and old-fashioned mum. Sorry if I've disappointed anyone :rotfl: I know MATH would have wanted to see pics of me avec moon-boots and with wild women of Borneo hair, but maybe next time, chuck
So, normality reigns here. I've re-introduced myself to my kids (at least they missed me) the WM, DW, cooker and a little later on, the BM. My vacuum and I did a quick tango before DS2 sent me packing whilst he did a fab job on the downstairs carpets. It's bright, warm but windy here so I'm aiming to get another load on the line before too long. I may even cart my case upt o the attic later on.
I will also start my latest crochet project later - maybe when Corrie is on. Yes, they can confirm I do own a lovely set of hooks and have bought some gorgeous wool - I think Nels disowned me at this point, but Caterina saw it
Ok - off to finish my pasta sauce and say hello to Mr TM who has just walked in. Have a good evening and ((hugs)) to everyone

Afternoon all.
Have had a very busy day at w**k, got back and folded a load of washing and put a load more out, am now sitting down for a rest and a quick surf on the net before deciding what to do for tea.
haven't read the thread yet, so hope all's well with everyone.0 -
hello to everyone today.
been a lovely monday as no work. was meant to be studying but ended up going for a late lunch with a friend - ooops :rotfl:
Blackpool sounds brilliant - so sorry i missed it. Will have to make an effort to do it again sometime soon (and perhaps nearer to home!).
currently looking longingly out the window at the sunshine. If I cover a few more cases in revision i am going to reward myself by going for a run  some reward huh:rolleyes: oh well - teh race i am running is only 4 weeks away and i couldn't stand the embarassment of not finishing.
Not been very os recentlya friend got me hooked on ebay. So while i am 'saving money' on things that are second hand - I am not sure that all my purchases can count as essential! lol Must exercise more self control. On that note i must check my bids..................:rotfl:
B- toast and tea
L - friend took me out :T
D - chicken something.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Sorry who are you:rotfl:
Had a decidedly lazy day today after the madness that was the meet. Luckily it was an office day with not a huge workload to get through just some brain dead stuff which is a good job cos I seem to have left any ounce of energy at the Grosvenor hotel. Its thrown it down today here so I didnt even get the WM on which at least would have been something.
Went for an Italian meal last night which was absolutely delish (and a bargain cos it was a Sunday night deal) but I am now looking forward to a really lazy night in with corrie and something out of the freezer. Placido Domingo sounds fantastic Bargs please try to control that mouth of yours though - or ill have to tell mum.:D
Moggins - hope your first fag free day has gone well - im a year off them now and its the best thing i ever did although jumping from a 10 to a ..........well a big personwas the down side and i now need to address that after seeing those lovely meet piccies:eek: good luck hun and pop into amateur savers thread for loads of support.
well hugs to all that need them or want them and im off to root in the freezer (wonder if the chippy delivers:rotfl: )

evening.
just had a good look at the 'meet' pictures. I can fully understand RZL swearing on the grand national, as it is a really rickety ride. I much preferred going on the big one the last time i was in blackpool.
I've had one of those very busy bit not actually get very much done days. I put on an extra revision class for my year 10 kids after school, and was pleased to have 4 kids turn up. Hopefully it will take off if they tell their friends it was useful. DH was knackered after his weekend away working, so he slept in this morning, and i managed to get loads done. I forget how he gets under my feet, but its still better to eat breakfast with him.
I'm quite tired so i think i will have a long soak and an early night tonight. We'll be having a chicken stir fry for tea once DH actually gets in from work. I might try and get another couple of SATs marked just so it is moving along. I'm planning to do quite a bit on Wednesday when i have the day off work.
I'm about to go chop some veg for the tea. Hopefully DH will chop the chicken and do the stirring.
Big hugs today for mushy peas, elona and her family, and vicky for tomorrow.
PP - i sent you a PM. Hope your visit to the hospital went ok, and that you haven't been in to much pain today.
Moggins - sending you positive support vibes.

Evening Everyone
Hope everyone is well and Moggins...hope your ciggy free day is going OK...hugs hun. You can do it!!
Hospital didnt go too well and had to have more bloods done, got to go back next week. Such a pain going up Kings all the time, but have fabulous consultants so cant moan too much:rolleyes: Was tired when we got home, so had a snooze:o
DD's test seemed to have gone OK, she is currently in the bath...singing. My dad did her Kenny Rogers greatest hits on CD...thanks dad....and she loves it:eek:So she now knows Coward Of The County and The Gambler by heart
OH has got some diced lamb out for a stew tomorrow in the SC as we have lots of veggies that need using and have a shop coming from Asda using a £10 off a £35 shop from on here:rolleyes: Its mainly items that we dont get reduced and stock cupboard items and some frozen bits. So should see us through for 2-3 weeks.
Have SIL here in the morning doing a few jobs and me ironing, but need to get on with my next TMA, so no chatting...lol.
HUgs to all.

Evening folks.
Didn't have time to post this morning as I got engrossed in the Blackpool thread. Sounds like great fun.
Its weird to have faces to match the names. Dunno now if its how I imagined you all or notOh except Jackie - the way she writes I was expecting an "old" lady. She looks like she is in her prime!
Been at work all day and not long home. Had some dinner and dishes all done but doing nothing else as I feel exhausted. Its amazing how customers being demanding can wear you down
Will have a read through the rest of today's threads and think I will retire to bed early and watch Wife Swap.
Take care folks0 -
Bargainrzl I have no sympathy for your sore bum! It was all self inflicted
PP - Kenny Rogers? Your DD has great taste in music
Nelski Thanks for the link hun, it's really appreciated.
It's going well when the kids are not here, I've beginning to find out what my triggers are and all routines are being switched around. DH helped me clean the carpets this afternoon to take my mind off it.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
