    Morning everyone.

First time posting on the daily thread so HELLOOOO
. She has also lost 2 weeks pocket money (£5) as her and 2 cousins were making potions the other day and decided to use some of my Clinique moisturising cream (£25) and other Clinique product (£15) to make some witch brew:confused:  .....too much Harry Potter me thinks!!

LOL I thought it was only my son who did things like that. He used my clinique clarifying lotion to make a car wash in his toy garage  It was a brand new bottle too.

Today I get my slow cooker today :T kindly donated by my lovely mil. Can't wait to use it with some of the yummy recipes I've read on the boards.

Congratulations on the slow cooker looby, you'll never look back now.

I was seriously thinking about going back to work yesterday and sat down and costed it all out, even if I could get a job with the hours I need (9.30 to 2.30) after the loss of CTC and paying for childcare/holiday clubs etc I worked out that I would be £309 a year better off!! I told DH and he said "it's not really worth it then is it?"

I had to agree with him, so it looks like I'm remaining a SAHM for a while longer :D

    Morning everybody :hello:

    :DHAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTIN :D

I have been very well behaved since I last posted. After my date last night with Placido Domingo (it still counts as a date if he's singing in an opera on the stage and I'm way up in the cheap seats, right? :D;)) I had just the one beer with my friends, went home (got back at midnight), took sausage casserole out of freezer, cooked rice to go with it for today's lunch, went to bed. Got up this morning, avoided the temptation of a newspaper and/or a can of soft drink at the station by remembering to take a bottle of water and the untouched Jumbo Crossword from Saturday's paper, and when I got into London, although I did have my bacon sarnie (£1.20) I resisted getting a coffee with it (60p) cos it's really no better than the freebie coffee in my office :D

P.S. Placido Domingo - he was great, but the opera was one I hadn't ever seen before and was not so good - there were too many bits which were hilariously funny but I'm sure they weren't meant to be :D:D

Am still in post-Blackpool mode, i.e. finding it difficult to wake up in the mornings! I've got night in tonight though, so will slob in front of the telly and go to bed nice and early - that should sort me out. I don't really need to cook because the sausage casserole I took out of the freezer will have enough left over for tomorrow's lunch as well.

PP - well done on getting a good night's sleep - hope you feel better for it later.

moggins and beer2006 - hope all is going well with the ex-smoking :D Can't offer any advice I'm afraid - I've never smoked myself.

Good luck with SATs and stuff like that :)

    See you later
    Rzl xx

Morning all and happy birthday Martin (saw you on TV last night) and Sophiesmum.

((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) to those who need them.

Washing in overnight, its fine this morning so will put it out on the line, need to get organised for going away again this weekend........

Pizza last night was yummy, enough left for lunch today, spag bol tonight have a load of mince to cook up so at least 2 portions to freeze.... have to think about something for grnadchildren coming at the end of the month, might do sausage and mash for a change from Pasta, although Alex loves it.

Need to tackle the sitting room today, its not bad because we were away last week, but very dusty, the ants seem to have gone into retreat for the time being........ guess they will be out again when the next lot of eggs hatch then that should be it (hopefully) for the rest of the summer. No more in the kitchen, must just have been a couple of long distance boys.....

Rzl your savings are going well, keep at it, you will get there.... PP glad you had a better nights sleep, sleep depravation is ssssssssoooooooo debilitating, I know being a long term sufferer............ have to have anti depressants from time to time to try and re-establish a decent sleep routine, not that they work very well, but I will not take sleeping tablets, they make me feel like hell.............

    Have a good day evryone....................

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for my dad.

It is such a shock because only a few weeks ago he was up a ladder decorating his living room! Now he suddenly looks so frail.

Managed to talk him into letting someone visit him every day once he is back home and also to letting an occupational therapist look at the flat so see what aids he might need - cannot think how he will manage the stairs as he insisted he wanted a first floor flat!

I will have to go buy him some open backed slippers today as his feet are so swollen he cant get his slippers on.

We are going visiting again tonight and will make a home made quiche for a quick tea before we go.

Got up this morning at 07:20 and made my lunch, and watered in the greenhouse.

Off to mum's for tea tonight then will make lasange when I get home for tea tomorrow

Moggins - are you using anything to help you quit or are you going cold turkey? My mum, OH and Dad all did cold turkey.:T

    No breakfast today
Lunch - Pastrami and Cheese (again)
Tea - no idea yet whatever mum is cooking!

Have decided to bribe IT to get them to do something for me by volunteering to cook biscuits tonight for them tomorrow! "The way to IT's heart - is through their stomach!"

Edited to add - Hayfever starting to get worse so I called the dr. this am to see if I can get Benadryl plus (the only thing that helps to start with until I am ready for the steroid injection - this time next month) and he says they can't prescribe this only the bog standard stuff that doesn't help bearing in mind bought over the counter it costs £9 for 24

    Take care all

    Hi Again

SIL couldnt come today so shes here tomorrow:rolleyes: Washing was able to be put on the line and I didnt use the TD:j Have just listed 20 items on Turbolister to be uploaded later for Ebay-OH took the pictures last night but I was able to do the auctions:D I may be a crip but I can still make some money...even if it takes me longer:rotfl:

The lamb stew OH has down smells delish and he used up the last bit of Tymne he bought last week for 5p. Have had to use frozen veggies in it as we have totally run out of fresh veg but have a shop coming this afternoon, so will be alright.

OH is putting some more of skirting around upstairs-he has this new nail gun that his brother lent him and is really dangerous:eek:  he had a glee in his eye when he bought it in to show me.....I keep telling him Im worth more alive than dead;) and Im just about to do some reading for my course.

Anyway best go. Keep up the good work Moggins....PM me if you need to curse etc through not having a fag....but we KNOW you can do it hun.

    PP

Morning all! Have just been looking at the Blackpool photos that have been posted, wish I could have been there!

Spent most of yesterday tidying and cleaning, so today just having quick whizz around, downstairs all done, just need to hoover upstairs and sort out some the childrens' clothes that they have outgrown, ready to pass on to friends and family.

Also need to put piles of washing away, where can it all come from!

    B - cereal and toast
L - leftovers in the fridge!
D - Something to use up the chicken in the fridge, and preferable done in the SC so I don't have to pay attention - probably thick chicken and veg soup and HM bread!

    Have a good day all!
