    Morning All

Queenie - hope you get all your jobs done on your list. Im going write my to do list in a min - weather here is terrible so apart from popping out in a little while we are in for the rest of the day.

Plan to get everything done this morning so can play some games/watch dvd's with the kids - also DD is doing her sats next week so she will do some revision too.

Roast Pork for lunch will all the trimmings. Think I need to do an inventory of the freezer as when I got the joint out ystrday the freezer seems half empty (though I remember the days pre mse when it would be full up of stuff I bought 2 years before).

Hope you all have a enjoyable and productive day.

    PS Enjoy your Birthdays - SOM01 & iwanttosave:beer:

Lunch will be roast chicken plus trimmings. The chicken was a pre -cooked one from Morrisons and they were being sold off at 80p.

    Good morning everyone,

:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOMO1 AND IWANTTOSAVE:bdaycake:

Well, so far its a lovely day here in the South West, so DD and i are off round the car boot sales, havnt been to one for ages (i tend to be a bit lazy on a Sunday morning!!!) but now the weather is getting better, i have a bit more energy, so off we go!!!! Then it will be home to continue making teddy and to see what DD wants for lunch (maybe another carpet picnic, we did enjoy it yesterday!!!!)
Have also promised DS i would tape the football for him later, he is at his dads until tonight and they are both into their football, but his dad is a Man U fan, whilst DS is Arsenal, and both matches are on the telly. Knowing his dad, he will be made to watch the Man U game (i know, but he is that selfish!!!) so im going to tape it to make sure he will be able to watch it later. Its a very special match too (last one at Highbury) so i know he will want to see it, even if by some chance his dad his dad does let him see it at his!!!!

Queenie - good luck with your to do list!!!!
Essex girl and apple mint - shame about the weather, hope it improves soon (will try and send some of ours your way!!!!)

Right, off to get dressed, and off to the car boots!!!! Hope everyone has a lovely morning, and all those back from Blackpool have had a lovely time, hope to hear all the goss soon!!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning everyone icon7.gif

Gloomy and damp in London today but it looks as if the sun might shine later. Birds were going ballistic with the dawn chorus this morning! And we have our sparrows back :j they have been "missing" from the local gardens for years, but today they are really making themselves heard! I'm so pleased, I had really missed them, noisy little things icon10.gif

Loads of laundry for me to do today then we will see how much energy I have left... or not, as the case may be. Must fit in a visit to the farmers market too.

Hope you all have a good day and the Blackpool hangovers are not too horrendous icon10.gif

Edited to add: Last match at Arsenal today?!! Where is my tin hat! There is a victory parade planned to I think, Ooops! football evacuation plan 1 now in operation
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Morning Everyone & Happy Birthday to SOMO1 and Iwanttosave ((hugs))

WM is on and will hopefully be dried outside if weather holds out:D House still clean and tidy,so nothing to do there. Floors will have a quick sweep through later and thats about it!

OH popped out again last night and nabbed a few bargains from our local Sainsburys (probably more there as BargainRzl was away:rotfl:  ;) ) He bought 3 boxes of Free range organic eggs which were reduced to 20p and still in date till the 14th:confused: , 2 small packs of organic beef mince to 30p a pack from £2.49-dont eat very much beef but thought this would make excellent HM burgers-but never done them before:o 2 x taste the difference chicken carbonara meals to 30p each, half leg of lamb £1, sausages 2 packs 25p each but taste the difference ones, cheese coleslaw 5p and 9th on it, cottage cheese the same price and date. There were a few other bits we needed so in total spent about £6. He'd also gone to Lidls and bought some fruit and veg we needed-so about £10 altogether yesterday.

DD & OH popped to a bootsale and got a few bargains yesterday too-books, jeans, tops, boots for me and a few other small bits and they spent about £7.

DD has revision today for her SATS this week and she wont be happy either. Its starts tomorrow with Science:rolleyes: She is just eating her breakie of egg on toast and a large glass of juice, then she will need to get cracking.

I hope the Blackpool team have had a lot of fun. I was sent several pictures/texts yesterday of them all and it looked a scream:eek: :D

Anyways, we had a roast last night so today we are having the TTD sausages:p

Breakie: DD& OH Egg on toast/Me Linseed toast with philly and ham
    Lunch:Soup and a roll
Dinner:TTD sausages, Tyme mash, carrots, cabbage and onion gravy

    Will catch up later.
    Hugs to all
    PP

    Morning all,

An early wake up call for me as DD decided to wander in at 05:30, fortuitously managed to get her back to sleep around 6 until 7, unfortunately both DH and she snored and I was pinned in the middle :(

Yesterday we all went to see "Thomas the Tank Engine" on the Severn Valley Railway, we went with friends of ours whose DS is the same age as DD, so they had a whale of a time. Also handy as their DS is also potty training, so good to have similar company:T . They both did exceptionally well.

We had a nice picnic in the middle, and an excellent tea cake and hot choc at Kidderminster :)

Today, I plan to haul myself and family in to the garden to do some clearing up. I am full of cold, so I think the fresh air will do me good.

Washing basket is full, so I suppose that needs to be tackled also. Wonder whether the weather is going to be obliging

    B - Cereal
L - leftover sarnies from yesterday
D - dunno, s'pose I'd best go root through the freezer! Sausages maybe.

    Morning everyone

I couldn't pop in yesterday as i was so busy. I left the house at 6:55am and didn't return till 8:10pm. I remember now why i don't use public transport very much, as there is so much sitting around waiting for connections, and i didn't even have any delays. I was also grumpy as the food had been a bit naff on the training course. My options for lunch were overcooked fish, or a lamb chop, which i soon found was undercooked, so i couldn't eat it. so i had some potatoes and a bit of overcooked veg. Good job the biscuits they provided were of higher quality. then by the time i got home i really was too tired to cook, so i ended up eating weetabix and chatting on the phone to my mum for an hour and half. Oh and dealing with nutty cats who were restless as they had been cooped up in the kitchen all day.

I woke up without an alarm at 7:30. Plan for the day is start marking my SAT papers (about 350 kids worth - 2 papers each), go to my nephews birthday party about 3ish, do some washing and ironing, make a pie, mash and veg meal for DH and myself for around 7ish, and wash my hair. I am about to have my 2nd cup of go-go juice (tea) and pop some old clothes on. My parcels of papers are really filthy. Don't know what kind of state the parcelforce vans must be in, but it was the same last year.

Thankfully next week is my lighter one at work, so i will be able to take it a bit easier. One of my colleagues has got me covering up her mistake of not reporting that a y11 kid hadn't done his coursework, so i've got to help the kid do that on Monday. I've said i can only do one lesson. After all, the whole purpose of me having free time is to help me cope with my own workload. Not to do other people's work for them. I've also taken Wednesday off for my midwife appointment even though i only need 1 hour. My logic being i usually go funny when i have blood tests, and the MW normally keeps me longer than other people as they want to monitor my depression carefully. Plus it saves me going back to grotty year 8 kids in the afternoon. (must be the enumbers as they aren't as grotty at other times.) I'm also off part of Thursday for speech therapy, so this week should whizz by.

Enjoy your day everyone. Particulalrly SOMO1 and iwanttosave. Happy birthday. Hopefully the damp weather won't ruin anyone's plans. I'm quite glad its damp as it is cooler, and it won't distract me from my tasks. And it's helping my garlic in the tub grow a lot quicker. (Either that or because Fred the cat hasn't been out digging in it :rotfl: )

    Morning All:hello:

:bdaycake: Hippo Birdy to Somo1 & Wanty, hope you both have fab pampered days.

well, due to rain hubby & I have cancelled our planned car boot expedition and are instead arguing about what kind of stair gates to get! I want the roller kind, I figure it'll be much easier with Spud & a dog, but hubby is firmly against anything that has to be screwed to the wall & wants those supremely non-robust expand to fit plunger types:confused::mad:

Had a nice wander around the town yesterday, taking in every chairty shop I could find:o I came home with a summer dress, a pair of really nice new Accessorize flip flops & a pumpkin shaped biscuit barrel:rotfl:.

Anyway, brekkie is so far just a cup of coffee but expect it will also include toast & marmite soon, lunch is a mystery but Mum is dropping off some quiches & things she wanted to clear out of her freezer so will be something there, dinner is the prawn curry we didn't have last night as we were still eating Friday night's leftovers;)

    Have a fab day everyone:wave:

    morning everyone

its a misty day today but might brighten up later, cleaning all done so might have a walk later

got my microfibre cloths in tesco yesterday but havnt used them yet, will wait till i do the windows

got an idea for a little girls fairy birthday cake too, but i only have grandsons, snake shaped sandwiches and aladdins carpets it was very interesting, also got the idea of painting pva glue onto stretched cling film then paint swirls of colour on it while wet then leave somewhere warm to dry then peel away from the film and cut into shapes and hang at the window

queenie - heres the fudge in a bag

    two large resealable bags (tesco)
    500g icing sugar
    75g cream cheese
    1/2 cup cocoa
    2 tbsps softened butter
put all in the bag let out air and seal, put this into 2nd bag and let out air and seal, squish, squash and punch the bag for between 5-10 mins till becomes solid, open bags remove fudge and roll into balls coat in coconut or cocoa etc. good for passing round children at a party

you can also put paint in a resealable bag close well and use as an etch a sketch

pp hope you are feeling better am envious of your bargains

catowen well done to your ds for man of the match
