I came back from the market very despondent as DD had been a complete pain and driven me home with her complaining. Lovely DH said leave her with me and you go and enjoy yourself
And he got the school uniforms washed
So I now have some more plants for my garden, 2 pumpkin, 2 tomatoes, 1 strip of celeriac and 1 strip of brocoli.
Then I went to Asda as I haven't been there in nearly three months because of taking my parents shopping. I got loads and loads of fish drastically reduced, got monkfish, cod, haddock and some lovely manx kippers14" pizza and pesto ciabbatta for tea and they have all their Nestle cereal for £1 a box. So I stocked up on the kids favourites
Got more Stardrops too.
So I have splurged a bit but even with an overflowing trolley I still only spent £50 and I have enough supplies in to last me the monthOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hello everyone. Sorry for not posting this week. I am finding it really hard to get time during term time.
Edinburghlass - your day sounds lovely.
Snowyowl -mine hasn't been anymore exciting. Shopping with dd today. Have sat around for a bit as we both have a low grade viral infection. Now trying to motivate myself into housework. I have some cold roast chicken, new potatoes and salad to get ready for dinner.
Hope everyone at Blackpool has a great time.0 -
I did spend quite a lot today!
£5 on lunch for DD and friend at Asda
About £26 on 2 presents and cards - socks too!!
Then £20 on bark and compost - 4 for £10.
This will considerably improve my mood - the bit at the side of my house is an eyesore - has had chips before but now overgrown- it's upstairs responsibility but I want it to look neat with bark.
The compost i will use to plant my rocket seedlings and strawberries.
Really want to start landscaping my back garden, but too scared to start, lol..
Had tea at Mum's - so saved theregone0 -
Had a wonderful time with the boys and their mates (their friends are such lovely lads) but now we're all pretty tired
Can't be bothered with the stitching, I just want to chill out nowSo that will now feature on tomorrows To-Do List :rotfl: (Note to self: must remember to give AussieLass bread recipe) <---- fingers X'd writing it down will embed it in my memory for tomorrow
moggins - the syrup sounds like it will make a tasty coffeeNot something I could use because I don't like sweet drinks. I don't drink coffee with caffine in as a rule either anymore, so I have to have the Boaters as a blue moon treat, but I savour *every* drop
Hoping your knee continues to improve - only 2 people may have *seen* you do it, but a whole family of MSE OS'ers have read and conjured up the image of you
:T :T Well done on your Asda fish bargains!! Is a manx kipper a tailess one?Hey, DH done goooood with those uniforms - a gold star for him today then
:T
Pooky!! - :T :T Great news on your seedlings :T Hope you managed a paddle before the drizzle hit! I was at Tides today and it was glum weatherwise, but, as you probably already know, it's indoors so we were all ok
Lillibet - great news on the clothing front, pity about the ironing aspect. Shame about the veg box, but, if you aren't enjoying it's full value/potential, then it becomes a false economy. Have you tried speaking with the company to see if they will tweak your order to suit your tastes? Pity if they can't be a bit more accommodating because as a business they should really be more flexible in meeting the needs of the customer. Good luck in searching out a supply that is affordable, local and organic!
ronankfan - Many Happy Returns to Mr LizHis birthday tea sounds droolworthy! Hope the children had fun with his choccy cake.
Smokey - crikey - great deals you got there with your jeans/top! Hope the weather held and the gardening successful
r.mac - :T :T :T Wonderful news re: Dad and db/f - I think the worrying about loved ones can be just as stressful as being the patient!! ((hugs))
somo1 - sounds like a great restaurant - bouquet & Baileys complimentary!!! Hope tomorrow brings you just as much spoiling, but w/out others left over dirty dishes! ((hugs))
ageandjo - hope you're not hoarse after all that shouting and the coffee stains are but a distant memory!
PoshPaws - LOL @ "cottonwool bread" - the man is mad after all your hard work baking!!
jaybee - if you are feeling nippy, wrap a blanket round you((hugs))
Hester - aww, poor mite, hope his chicken pox don't give him too much itch/scratch/discomfortBest of British with your business!
twink - ooooh, fudge in a bag sounds intriguing! Care to share?
E'lass - thank you for the very interesting link! Sounds like an exciting festival. That really is a great shame about the disabled riders especially as it's all down to insurance!!!! What foods do you serve? Is it a group of you clubbing together in the local hall to provide the refreshments? Heaven forbid they all pop into your home!!!
ivyleaf - "Gardening in your Nightie" sounds a hoot! Wonder if my library will have it? I'm reading a book called "War Wives" at the moment, very little to do with gardening, but a riveting read! Hoping you are able to indulge your love of garden again soon
elona - :T :T :T FUNtastic bargains!!!! :T :T :T Hoping the Magicool and extra pyjama's bring much needed comfort for your Dad ((hugs)) You remember to take care of yourself, too.
Sweet Pea - oooh, I lurve cafetierre coffee  found some Fair Trade, decaffinated, cafetierre coffee in Sainsbury's a few weeks back - like the Boaters, it's a treat although I can have it more frequently being de-caffHope you enjoy yours
SnowyOwl - I know that you didn't mean to be humourous, but you did make me chuckleAnd you did make me feel a tad jealous ... cottage cheeeeeeeeese   Love that stuff!!! Hoping tomorrow brings a tad more excitement of the nicer kind to your world ((hugs))
nuttyrockeress - what a lovely gesture to grab a chinese with your Mum - hope you enjoy it.
tootles - hope your ant training is a speedy success and it doesn't take 2 offerings before they get the message! Delighted to read that your week went well. Fingers X'd your housesitting will be equally enjoyable. (I know just what you mean about tat shops - did you by any chance watch Grumpy Old Men last night? :rotfl:
Prudent - ((hugs)) sounds like you could do with one. Hope you and dd feel better very soon.
endemoniada - Delighted your mood was lifted with your purchases :T Good luck with the garden

Good evening everyone,
Busy day today for DD and me, first took DS to football, he scored a goal and got the man of the match trophy, so one very happy little boy, and one very proud mum!!!!! His dad only bothered to turn up at 11.30, so missed the goal and most of the match, but DS went off with him ok, so i will see him tomorrow, his dad said about 6, but i bet it will be nearer 7, he isnt very reliable. Mind you, if we went out, he would be early!!!!!
DD and i then went into Plymouth and treated ourselves to a KFC, and then a sandwich in M & S for dinner, so not very OS. Mind you finally found STARDROPS in Wilkinsons!!!! I was so happy, been looking for them for ages now, and they are in such a happy looking bottle!!!! Will be trying them out tomorrow on a microfibre cloth!!!!
So, after the weekly treck round Mr Ts, we popped in to see a friend, and ended up having a good old natter and a glass of the red stuff!!!! Couldve quite happily sat and had a couple, but needed to get home for our carpet picnic, which was very nice. Tomorrow, we are going to be making a teddy bear, from a kit i bought her for her birthday last week!!!!
Ivyleaf - (im shuddering in horror) CARROT!!!! NOOOOO!!!!! You get potato and swede in a cornish pasty!!!! Hope it tasted ok tho!!!
Queenie and smokey - Ive cut out all caffine as well, i have enough problems getting, and then staying asleep, i find if i have tea or coffee, even in the morning, i can tell at night when im trying to sleep!!!! Luckily i like the decaf teabags and decaf coffee if i feel i need a fix!!!!
Right, we are off for an early night, DD wont go to bed without me when its just the 2 of us, so think we had better go now, Take care everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
:hello: Gooooood Morning!
Well, I had planned on an early night, but, one of the neighbours from the road behind ours is having a rip-roaring evening of entertainment and the noise defies sleeping through. So, instead, I'm catching up with some admin. Finding that rather tedious, decided to start the daily thread instead.
I'm hoping that all who often have sleepless nights are getting some well-deserved rest.
Carried forward on my To-Do List:-
~ hand stitch uniform mends
Plus:
~ ironing
~ baking for packed lunches next week (will do while roast cooks)
~ cracking the whip over revision for boys SATS next week :rotfl: (they'll hate me)
~ microfibre duty
~ write out card of praise to pool we visited
~ find inspiration with d11yo for art homework
~ have a lay in bed!!
chardonnay - your chinese treat had me :drool:ing but it's on my mustn't-have list. Congrats on getting your ebay stuff sorted yesterday :T
catherine - :T :T WTG proud mum on ds goal and man-of-the-match trophy!! :T :T (pay no mind to his dad, his loss, he'll be gutted)
KFC, stardrops, red stuff, carpet picnic - sounds like FUN!!! Have fun with the teddy bear kit! Hope you both slept snuggly-buggly together
Pink-Winged - thank you for the work you are putting into OS on our behalf behind the scenes as BG - it's appreciated.
Wishing you all a moneysaving Sunday

Good morning Queenie - hope the noise died down and you managed to get some sleep!
Morning everyone
Was planning to go trail around the local car boot, but it has rained all night so it will be too wet on the field for people to stand.
Yesterday I batch-made bolognese sauce, pea and ham soup and cooked a gammon in the slow cooker. Today we plan to batch-make some goulash and some savoury mince. I'm also going to have a go at carrot and corriander soup. I'm trying get some meals in the freezer as I tend to spend half the evening in the kitchen on a week day.
Breakfast: oats, mandarins & HM yoghurt - glass of orange juice
Lunch: HM pea & ham soup with a HM roll
Dinner: still thinking about that (probably something with the gammon)
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
happy birthday!
Today I plan to sort out tomorrow's community kids workshop (still not sure why it's on a Monday shouldn't they all be in school?) Doing painted pencil cases and foam purses so a lot to organise.
The ex is roasting a chicken for lunch while ds & I are at Church so after lunch I'll be doing some meals for the freezer with the carcass and I want to do some baking at the same time to fill up the oven.0
