hello and good morning all
everyone sounds like they have a busy, but pleasant day ahead - especially VickyA with her pamper session. Have fun while you indulge.
Dad got the all clear last night. :T The knee op went really well and he was sent home. Mum is now running around after him - only been home about 12 hours but she seems keen he go back to work sooner rather than later :rotfl:
no news on the boyf though.........I am sure he is ok and he did promise to let me know when he got home - don't think he's discharged until 11am, so not panicking about him just yet;)
My day is going to be boring and although the weather is fabulous i must start revising (or is that learning) for the next exam. If i work hard i can then have a bit of a break and go play nurse maid this evening. lol.
food has kind of stopped being a planned event, which i am annoyed about - must pull my finger out and get that meal planning going again. So dinner will be a freezer lucky dip - and lunch will necessitate a trip to buy some fresh fruit and veg at some point.
so better get on.

PS hello to all on the blackpool trip -lucky devils. wish i was there too. Such fond memories of the edinburgh meet last year:Dr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Morning all :hello:
Bit of a slow start this morning. Went out with my girlfriends last night for a birthday curry, cost 26 quid each, including copius amounts of alcohol  and when we left the restaurant gave me a bouquet of flowersAll in all a fabulous night which I think was reasonably priced (oh and after we had paid they gave us all a complimentary baileys (7 of us). Will definately go back!
WM is on, and I've washed up DH's and DD's dinner plates etc from last night  I've had to rearrange my kitchen slightly this morning as my B'day pressie from work was 12 bottles of wineI've been so spoiled already and it's not even my birthday till tomorrow :T
DD has had her brekkie (oreo o's), lunch is yet to be decided, tea will be bbq ribs, corn on the cob, onion rings, potato salad and coleslaw - yummy!!
I'm toying with the idea of cooking a roast tomorrow or letting DH take me out for lunch - we've spent a fortune already this month so the sensible thing would be to cook, but:shhh:
Well I'd better go as I'm the only person dressed in this house today, and I need to chivvy them up as I don't want to be doing any housework tomorrow and DD and DH want to make me a cake
Byee for nowSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
just had confirmation that boyf is alive and that the op seemed to go ok.
Phew, think i need a brandy now. Had not realise how worried i was!!!
hope everyone has as good a day as mine is turning out to ber.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Afternoon Everyone!
Have had a couple of texts from BargainRzl and they are now at Pleasure beach.....god help everyone there today...LOL:rotfl: Their all having a great time by the sound of it which is fabulous!
Washload has been put on line, there isnt much of a breeze here today so think it may take abit longer to dry. Nothing much to report as DD & OH have gone to a small bootsale locally and not sure when there be back.
Still not feeling too good so am just resting up.....story of my life:mad:
Have a good day.

Hello all
Been a while since I've posted - although I've read along when I could. Can't believe its the meet this weekend, that came along so fast! Glad they seem to be having a good time.
I've been in a baking frenzy so far today. The BM produced a spiced fruit loaf and an Oaty white loaf this morning - and half the Oaty loaf disappeared at lunchtime. Made sausage rolls to go with salad for dinner tonight and some melting moments (from the Be-Ro recipe book) for treats. So now I've just got to make a cake (lemon or coconut? Decisions decisions) and that's me done with the baking for the weekend.
Have got to take my last 50p and buy some cotton wool shop bread for DH later on.
I made some stewed apples & pears with honey this morning, which should go nicely with chocolate ice cream for dessert tonight - and I have to take the chicken out of the freezer for the SC tomorrow. Better do that, while I think about it!
Hugs to all.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Thanks Penny-Pincher for the update on what the weekenders are up to! I hope that the weather is a bit warmer in Blackpool than it is down here today. Thursday and Friday were so beautiful and today we are back to wall-to-wall grey with a cold wind as well. I'm trying to resist putting the heating back on!
All I've done today is the shopping for the week! This evening we will have a stir fry so that'll be easy.
Can't motivate myself today so I'll spend the afternoon trying to catch up on here!0 -
Hi all
It was lovely & sunny here this morning so we went to B & Q to buy some bedding plants, by the time we got home it was raining, so I won't be planting them out just yet.
I swapped a book on Readitswapit & managed to get a copy of Peepo for my grandson, he is a bit down in the dumps as he has chicken pox & his poor little feet are covered in blisters & he can't get his shoes on. DD bought him over to my house yesterday so he could play in my garden barefoot. He was so pleased to see me when I arrived home from work.
Hubby is glued to the tv, wathching the GP qualifier, so I get a bit of peace on here. I'm working hard at starting my new business & am looking for a telephone/fax/answerphone combined as it will be essential to me.
Hope everone has a good day
Hester
