Afternoon all! Hope that you all have a fab time in Blackpool, and I'm looking forward to seeing some photos so that I can see if you all match how I think you look!
P-P - Hope that you feel better as the day goes on.
Lillibet - hope that your cold improves quickly.
Stressedoutmumof1 - hope that the highlights go well, reminds me that I need to get on and do something with my hair soon!
Manicdays - hope your son's lip is better now, what a brave little soldier! Probably wanted to show all his friends his injury!
Went to the garden centre this morning and rescued some very reduced plants - a bit of attention and they'll look lovely in my pots.
Then went to Mr T's for essentials for the weekend, and to use up 3 x 100pt wine vouchers - wine rack now nice and full, and if I use the points for days out Mr T will actually have paid me to take the wine away - hurray!
WM on and on and on again! dd1 has opted for clothes putting away as her chore this week, boy will she be busy later! ds doesn't know it yet but his chore will be to cut the grass again! dd2 will be hoovering and dd3 will be cleaning the patio windows (well, they are her finger prints all over them!).
Tomorrow we are taking ds for a suit fitting for BIL's wedding, and on Sunday dd1, dd2 and me are running the Race for Life, so I hope the weather isn't wet! No other plans for the weekend, so should be able to chill out and do family stuff - dh is back tonight from London, so we shall all be together!
B - HM pancakes
L - packed for children, toasted garlic and coriander naan with HM hoummus and toms for me, dh is hosting a retirement dinner for a colleague so will be eating somewhat better than us!
D - might take children to Pizza Hut and use voucher I collected for the Sun for a free pizza, but if the weather is nice they'll want to be out playing at home, so may just be the extra lasagne I made earlier in the week and froze!
Hope that everyone has a really good time in Blackpool, have a drink for me!
edit: oops forgot to say:
Aril - congratualtions, crack open that cider!
MATH - hope that you enjoy your anniversary meal, congratulations!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Happy Anniversary Math.
I think I'm quite glad I'm not going to Blackpool now, I've just had the most stupid accident ever.
I went to pay for Dad's car and collect the logbook so he could insure it, I parked the car on the road and there is a small gravelled slop for the entrance to the car lot. I paid for the car, had a chat with the salesman then saw a huge lorry trying to get passed my car, I ran for my car before he could take the back wing off and fell down the slope. My knee is a complete mess with two large holes in it and I have gravel imbedded in both my palms and I have written off my nice jeans completely.
I decided to soldier on and drove to Tesco to get petrol before I went to pick up my parents to take them shopping, luckily because of my knee I went to get my purse out of my bag before I put petrol in, good job I checked, I'd left my purse in my other bag!
Went home, dressed knee, changed jeans and started all over againOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
Ouch, Moggins, that sounds painful!! :grouphug: to you. Bad news about the jeans.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0

r.mac - give me a few weeks to turn professional, then of course you can send the curtains! :rotfl: Might be a few years though to be honest - im eyeing it with suspicion and holding the instruction booklet very tightly, as Im going to need it!
Work was fairly good today by all accounts, it was just busy enough to be interesting, and not too busy that I wanted to tear my hair out. Ive also had a big smile planted on my face half of the day - but the less I say about why the better (Ive been flirting with someone I shouldnt - but dont tell anyone - shhhh!).
Anyway, not much else to say really so im going to make dinner, have a bit of a clean up, then flop on the sofa/make cushions*.
Jo xx

Evening.
Boy it is quiet here today. I guess they will be in blackpool now, probably having a chilled out fish and chip supper. That does sound tempting.
Had a strange experience of someone i work with rubbing my belly. I didn't mind too much, but i hope its not about to happen with other people. I felt a bit like the genie was going to pop out the lamp. Is there any social ettiquette on this sort of thing? I personally wouldn't just touch someones belly. I didn't do it to either of my sisters when they were expecting
DH just sat in an extra 1 and a half hour traffic jam to see me for 10 mins before his trip. I was glad he did though.
Also had to tell my parents that my brother twagged school this afternoon to escape doing his mock science exam. Daft !!!!!! was in my lesson the lesson before, and thought he could get away with it. It puts me in an awkward place.
Plan for this evening is something simple like a jacket spud and cheese for tea. Get myself organised for the course i'm on tomorrow. Watch Eastenders as i only do that when DH isn't here. Have a long soak and an earliesh night ready to get up at half five. I won't get back till nearly 8 either, so i will be pretty tired tomorrow. I need to get a load through the WM tonight so i will have work clothes for next week. I also need to buy more maternity bras. I could only get 5 in my size, and its a real pig washing every few days. I could do with a couple more so i only need to wash on weekends.
I'm going to go and get on with my list. HAve a lovely weekend folks, as i can't see me having time to get back to chat. Hope its not too hot tomorrow but i don't want it to rain.

I'm here! :hello:
If anyone going to Blackpool reads this: I hope that you have a fantastic time!
I'm going for a pamper day tomorrow with my two future sister-in-laws. We got it as a Christmas present from OH's (and their) mum and this is the only weekend when we can get together before the voucher runs out in June. I've just checked my e-mails and it looks like our lunch will be £15. The only other 2 pamper days I've ever been on have always had lunch included. However, I can't really complain as that's all I'll have to pay! Oh, and the £5 for my new swimming cossy from Tesco
The school residential wasn't too bad. However, I'm glad that I'm back at home and I can put my feet up and have a rest! Some of the children only had 2hrs of sleep, but luckily I think I got about 4 hours........ In order to celebrate my return, OH is picking up some fish and chips on his way home from work, complete with a bottle of wine. I can't wait!
After my pamper day tomorrow, we're driving up to my parents' house (again!). This time it's so that we can hear our banns of marriage in the church in which we are marrying - oh, and my old local church. It's within walking distance (like 3 mins away!) of my parents, so instead of hiring a car for our wedding, I'm going to be walking on our wedding day.
I've bored you all enough already!

I'm still here:j
Michelle, I'm afraid your tummy is public property now. Drove me potty when I was up the duff, strangers touching me! Especially as I have a really freaky thing about not having my belly button touched!!
Vicky, I think walking to your wedding will be lovely, I've known several brides do this (have a big golfing umbrella on standby just in case the worst happens though;) A kind of insurance polilcy.....if you have it hopefully you won't need it but if you don't then you're sure to:rolleyes:)
Would open a bottl eof wine & toast Blackpool but as this cold has completely killed my sense of taste not much point:mad::p Hope they're enjoying themselves (and being gentle with Squeaky)Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
JW, hope you're going to give lessons!! An ex-boyfriend of mine gave me a sewing machine for my birthday one year - I've used it twice I think. It was for my 29th...I'm 40 this year!!! I've moved house three times with it, and that includes a move from England to Ireland...but I will get round to it, one day....:rotfl:
Oh and JW who is this secret hunk you're not telling us about? There is nothing whatsoever wrong with exchanging smouldering glances at w***, it makes the days almost pleasant... There is a cutie at my wo...oops nearly said it...at my w*** too but he is so rude to me - v.pleasant to everyone else but damn rude to me! Maybe he's twigged that the big bird fancies him and he's panicing and trying not to encourage me...sigh....if you're reading this I know the score, am just looking, so be nice please!
Moggins, I hope you didn't do any permanent damage to yourself today. I've done the exact same - with an audience of course - and it's a bit embarrassing to keel over like that. But your poor knees - you only have one pair of knees! Never mind about the jeans - after two weeks have gone by you will have LOADS of money to spend on a fantastic perfectly fitting brand new pair cos you'll have given up the cigs! That's your first intermittant tangible goal BTW, ie to put the money past and give yourself a long-lasting treat!! The first time:o I gave up I made an effort to put my ciggie money into a piggy bank every day, it didn't take long at all to have £100 in there (this was in about 1993 or 94). The second time I gave up I simultaneously joined a v.swanky and expensive health club and set up a direct debit using up most of my cig money. If I fancied a cig I reminded myself that I couldn't afford the cigs as the money was going elsewhere. It worked. I also reminded myself about what cigs can do to a body...per MATH'S post, v.poignant I think. Oops sorry, yapping about myself...if you want a bit of support or tips regards giving up cigs, I'm more than happy to share my tactics - been off them for six years now and I used to absolutely love them.
Johanne...hope you sounded chirpy in your email (but then you always do!) so I hope things are good with you. I'm looking forward to hearing your news.
Did somebody say "Get yer books out SnowyOwl and do some studying!!"? No? Good! I'm going out for a long walk.
SnowyOwl
PS: I wonder if anybody in Blackpool is tiddly yet...0
