    Morning all

Hope you all have a great time at your meet - fingers crossed the weather holds out for you too.

Been busy hoovering up dead things this morning - we were over run with ants last night, 2 huge spiders appeared from nowhere this morning and enough woodlice to start my own circus act....I'm not normally into killing insects if I can help it but the spiders were huge and it was shock factor more than anything - have just noticed another woodlouse climbing the curtains - arrggghhh.

Spent most of yesterday feeling quite yucky with upset tummy, feeling better today but not even attempted any food.

Going to sort out my fitted wardrobe today -it's a tip - will take out some of the heavier winter clothes that I don't need and get them into the loft out of the way, give it all a good hoover out and restack it properly. Also need to get the ironing mountain sorted....DD1 asked this morning.."Mummy, why don't you do the ironing every day when it comes off the line - would be so much easier"......... bless - she'll learn.

Hope you all have a great day and hugs to those that need them.

Good morning everyone - looks like some of you are off for a weekend in Blackpool - hope you all have a fantastic time!

Looks like another warm, sunny day here in Bristol. Only have 1 client to see today, so the rest of the day will be spent catching up with various bits and pieces and relaxing. Will be picking up a copy of "The Money Gym" from the library (better than paying £25  for a copy!!) and am hoping that will give me some great new tips about money/finances.

Breakfast - oats, soya milk, nuts seeds and fruit
    Lunch - no idea yet
Tea - butterbean and veg curry & rice
    Snacks: fruit

Moggins - my ex boss used the Allen Carr book and swears by it. He'd smoked quite heavily for about 30 years and gave up relatively easily after reading that book.

JW 1096 - best of luck with the revising/exam!

    Morning all
Another lovely sunny day here & as I type the plumber is putting the finishing touches to my bathroom. At last ! :T
Just managed to freecycle 20 old coffee tins, I knew someone would want them for something. I also discovered a freecycle spin off called "swop shop NW" where you can swop items instead of giving them away. What a good idea.
Am currently trying to organise my weekend so I can come over to Blackpool for a few hours tomorrow & meet you.
Suppose I'd better get on with some work, have only checked personal emails so far this morning.....

    Hi everyone!

What a lovely day it is too.

Hope all of you going to Blackpool have a super time. even if the weather isn;t great, you will all have a great one i'm sure!

taurusgb - read about your shower issue. Have you tried Energy saving trust website? They offer grants to help pay for new ones - not sure if that helps or not?

Moggins - good luck for Monday and forever with giving up. You can do it!

elona - hope your dad's starting to improve.

stressedoutmumof1 - have a lovely birthday weekend! Hopefully the weather will hold out!

Was woken this morning by the sound of a HUGE wasp  that came in through the window (I'm wasp-o-phobic!) i calmly got up and hit it back through the window with the curtain :T how brave was I!! :rotfl:

Breakfast this morning was - Easiyo and strawberries, plus my team at w*** went down to our reataurant for breakfast so I managed some marmite on toast
Lunch - Cheese and shallots on brown (I always have cheese I am a cheese monster!)
Tea - Chilli con carne with HM garllic bread

    Morning all,

To all those going to Blackpool, have an excellent time. As a newbie, I didn't feel brave enough to sign up this time, but hopefully I will pluck up courage for a future meet.

It's lovely & sunny here in Swindon, just a shame I am at w**k! The forecast for tomorrow isn't great, but Sunday seems OK (fingers crossed!).

I'm finally going to have to do some cooking tonight after boyf cooked on Tuesday & being out at friend's houses for meals for the last 2 evenings. I do enjoy cooking, but is also nice have someone else do it!

We're off to boyf's sister's leaving party tomorrow evening as her, her hubby & their 2 little ones are emigrating to Canada later this month. The town they are moving too looks beautiful, so we'll have to get saving for a visit over there. Not in the winter though, apparantly it gets extremely cold, brrr.

The rest of the weekend will be catch up time for washing & housework, going for a run on Saturday & Body Pump class & a swim on Sunday.

Have to take kitty back to vets to see the dental nurse on Monday to get some tooth brushing lessons. Something tells me she's going to be less than impressed with that idea!!

Breakfast - Flapjack made by boyf on Wednesday night. Yummy!
Lunch - Ham & mustard sarnie, banana, apple, orange
    Dinner - Chicken fajitas

    Have a lovely weekend all.

    Morning everyone.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you who can make it in Blackpool tomorrow. Another grim day at w**k today. Only 8 weeks to go until freedom!

I've just got my new mobile phone, a really nice Motorola SLVR. Very cool! It was a free upgrade and I got 10% off my current line rental too so I am very pleased!

Unfortunately I have an ant problem in my kitchen. Not millions of them but one or two dozen every day. I keep squashing them and I have been meticulous about ensuring my worktops are clear of every morsel of food so they aren't attracted to it. Yesterday I spread a bit of tea tree oil on the tiles near the back door to discourage them (I read that tip on here) and I diluted a bit of citronella oil in the sink and wrung my cloth out in it and wiped the worktops with that. It is supposed to be an insect repellant so I hope it works on ants. The trouble is, I don't know where they are getting in as they are spread over the whole kitchen.

    B: Bran Flakes and sultanas;
    D: Fish Mornay and Cous Cous (leftover from last night) with salad;
T: Braised steak and baked spuds with vegetables.

I'm looking forward to OH coming home tonight as I haven't seen him since Monday. Have a great day everyone!

    Morning everyone:hello:

Have a fab time in Blackpool (I'm not at all jealous:drool:) if you are going, can't believe how much I regret not going:mad: but I'm looking forward to the photos:p (try to keep Catrina off the vino:rotfl:)

I have a terrible cold, it started comming out last night & I have had a lousey night & I feel horrible this morning (best I'm not in Blackpool then!), hopefully hubby will be home from work early so that I can crawl back into bed which is where I feel my place is today. Haven't taken Spud to his baby signing class this morning, I really don't feel upto singing & signing dingle-dangle scarecrow & the like! When he wakes from his nap maybe a walk along the river to feed the ducks will be in order, about all I am up for today to be honest.

Didn't have breakfast as I don't feel like it, no idea about lunch but as I am doing the may storecupboard challange dinner is sorted, will be either cajan chicken or prawn curry, which ever hubby feels like cooking:D

    Have a good day/Blackpool weekend everyone:wave:

PS : everyone who isn't at Blackpool, see you back here tomorrow;)

everyone going to the blackpool meet - have a great time and we want to hear all the gossip!

PP - sorry to hear you are sore today. hope the painkillers have kicked in

snowy - hope the revision is going well - we are in the same boat at the moment. that's me now on 2 weeks holiday from looking after little ones so i can 'study' :p

ageandjo - hope the new flooring is nice

jo - sewing machine sounds good - need to hem some curtains - shall i send them down to you :rotfl:

catowen - i ended up with 5 little ones yesterday. thought i was going to die of exhaustion at one point - but made it through the day in one piece. Mother was taking liberties though as i am only paid to look after 2!! At least with this great weather the garden is an option (if not compulsory:T )

stressedoutmumof1 - hope the highlights went well and have a nice birthday.

elona - hope your dad is doing well. ((((((((((hugs))))))) My dad went into hospital for a knee op this morning. very routine and he will be up and about in a week or so. He's young and relatively healthy, but it still has me worried. On top of that new boyfriend (:j ) is also going into hospital this afternoon for a shoulder op, caused by a rugby tackle gone wrong. again all routine. Made me realise just how other people must feel when its not a planned op and so i am sending lots of love and hugs xxx

well - all quiet here today. having a friend round for coffee and cake at 3ish - so better go and do some baking

    bye for now xxxx
