Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  Grrrrrrrrrrr:mad: Started the day off by shower breaking down with me underneath, body still unwashed but wet and head covered in shampoo.

Progressed to row at w**k with boss about me being too cheereful  in the office (he said too many people from other offices and factory pop into the accounts/wages office since I've been there and he keeps hearing laughter!).

Then onto Somerfield for row with assistant which I've already posted on the Consumer Vent board (sorry, don't know how to do a link).

Now DH is going to be late home, DS2 has sprained an ankle, DD2 is furious at broken shower as she needs to wash at least every hour at her age  and is sulking in her room (one of those loud sulks that encompasses slammed doors, dropped books and loud music) and I'm FED UP!!!!!

Going to read the whole thread now and cheer myself up - I don't post often but I love to read all your daily doings - you keep me sane!:j

    Hi PP and RZL
I come up your way a fair bit is there a large Lidl up there?

ageandjo - our local Lidl is average to large I suppose - it's on Upper Wickham Lane, DA16 :D

P.S. Taurusgb - I couldn't help but smile at you being told you're too cheerful in the office! In an old job I was once (light-heartedly and by colleagues rather than bosses!) banned from singing in the office :o:D

Off sick today due to abdominal upsets _pale_ so I slept 'til 1.15, when I woke up feeling slightly better (although yesterday's headache stuck around until 3).

Once I'd staggered into some clothes, I went to vote, and even managed to find the polling station first go round. I was the only one there, and by the looks of it, only the 25th or so to have voted! At 2pm! Maybe everyone did it early because of the threatened strikes.

Then I came back, put every bean in the house on to boil so that I can freeze them. Then washed up, fed the birds with all the crumbs and seed scraps, put a tomato and bean casserole in the SC and set the breadmaker going. And reassured the neighbours that we've not been targeted by a career plant-thief, and that I in fact took the rose pot indoors due to high velocity winds. I'm sure the good folk of Westerhope would apprieciate my rosebush flying in to join them, but she's mine, dammit.

Taurus - argh! about the shower. How annoying for you :( And with a full house as well. Hope it can be fixed v.v.soon.

Morning Zed - funnily enough, no polling cards here either  "Underplayed"? Well, if no polling cards are going out ... the word, "underhand" springs to mind

:T How wonderful that dd gave you 6hrs uninterrupted sleep :j :j

My d11yo gave me a right chuckle when I went to bed last night, he'd left a questionnaire on my pillow and I had to tick the true/false answers to the statements he'd written about himself - I only had 7 questions to answer and the 'results' fell into just 3 categories:

5-7 right answers = You know me very well
2-4 right answers = Ok, so you know me a *bit*
0-1 right answers = AM I ADOPTED!!??? :rotfl:

He's just told me I only got one question wrong ... and as it turns out, it was because I thought the question was "I have Solent" (really confused me that one) but in actual fact the question was "I hate 50 Cent" :D:D So, forgiveable methinks :o;):D

Phew! That means our day has begun on a high note - I now know it's not my eyes, but his handwriting that is waffy and he's reassured that he's not adopted ;) :rotfl:

Oooh, think I can see a smidgen of sunshine poking through now too :j
Oh Queenie, that made me laugh so much! :rotfl:

    Hi all!

As you already know I met up with Rzl this morning and we had a good chat over a cuppa! It was great to meet her and she's lovely. After we came out of TK Maxx I saw there was a handy bus at the bus stop and suddenly realised I was getting very tired, so said a hasty goodbye and got on the bus. Good thing I did - I'd been thinking about walking home but I think I would have ended up ringing DH to come and get me! Quick and easy dinner tonight methinks!

Hope all of you going to the Meet have a great weekend!

    Evening.

Had an interesting day. The head asked to see me again, and even though i'm not going to be doing my extra responsibilities, he is leaving my pay as though i am, as its not my fault i've been too ill to do it. What a bonus. The downside is that when i go back to work after the maternity leave, then he will want me to do something for it. I suppose it is nice to know the door is still slightly ajar if i become more career minded again, and obviously i'm well thought of.

It's been so unpleasantly hot today. I think that is just my department being on the top floor, and all the heating still being on. What is it with schools??

DH has gone to pick up my SAT marking from the depot as they tried to deliver it while i was at work. He's also supermarket shopping by himself which i don't normally let him do, but he keeps ringing to check he's got everything, so it should end up ok.:rotfl:

I took the cat back to the vet. More antibiotics, and he's got to go back next week.

OS wise, we had a mega tidy up last night. I did a big clothes sort, and DH put up a new coat hook in the hall, and then hoovered the whole of upstairs, while i sorted food.

We are being a bit lazy tonight and having shop bought easy cook pasta and sauce with bacon. It's a bit of a cheat, but better than the takeaway i would have persuaded DH to get because i'm so tired. I had a touch of the 'snowy owls' last night. I suppose it will only get worse as i get fatter.

Best go and attempt to get through my work, as DH will be going to London tomorrow for the weekend to work on the sunday am show again. So i want to spend a bit of time catching up with him tonight.

If i don't get chance tomorrow, make sure you all have an enjoyable time in Blackpool. Think of me on my marking course, as i'm sure i will be thinking of you lot and wishing i was by the sea. :o

PP - i don't think anyone has reminded you to cancel your magazine subscription, so in case you forgot,

    Hiya

Just a quick one for tonight - have just skimmed the thread & it looks like generally everyone is doing well.

Dreaded meeting yesterday went better than could be expected thankfully. Could make the most of the sunshine today as had yearly business Bank Manager chat - waste of his time and mine but never mind. Lots been going on in our house recently - buss & financial problems and oh and myself are behind with everything but has a good discussion today and we know where we are going and feeling motivated.

Am gonna go watch some telly in bed in a min (and probably fall asleep after 5 mins) as want to clean whole house tomm and empty washing basket so can go to our caravan weekend and really chill. Mind you will be thinkg of the OS Meet - hope you have a great time - am jealous but there's always next year.

Well off now - hope everyone has a lovely full nights sleep.
