We've had a few bits about the election through the door, not much though. My highest level of involvement was telling the Conservative canvassers who blocked my drive to shift their cars! Needless to say they didn't knock asking for my vote after that
The good news is that my bathroom is nearly finished - only the sink to go back in & the floor to be grouted now. At long flippin' last! Just found the receipt for the tiles & we bought them on 1st April, so it's been over a month with no bath. Thanks heavens for new houses with en-suite bathrooms! I'll post a pic when it's finished.
Hugs to all who have to go to w**k today, to those who don't; enjoy it & hope you all enjoy the sunshine that we've been promised today.0 -
Hiya everyone
I've sent DS1 off to school today in his shorts as it's meant to be the hottest dayof the year so far. You'll be pleased to know that the clouds have come over and it's getting kinda grey
Will be at mum's again today - she has a dental appt and I'm sure she'll want garden as well as house doing today. However, I'm quite stiff from my bike ride yesterdayNeed to pop into Tesco's today cos I'll have to stock up so that Mr TM has something easily accessible to feed the boys whilst I go to the OS meet - TWO WHOLE NIGHTS AWAY
:D:D
Will put WM on before I go out and think about what's for tea - chicken I think. Need to pull it out of the freezer whatever I choose. I really need to get on and pack for this w/e away tonight as I have speech therapy with DS2 tomorrow and some more builders coming to quote for the road.
Ok - off for a shower and a hair wash. Have a great day and ((hugs)) to all

Hi everyone.
I haven't been posting for a while as things are quite busy. I am now working my notice period at work and am looking forward to becoming a lady of leisure (in the short term) from July onwards.
OH has unexpectedly changed jobs. He is now working in Wales so he is working away from Monday and coming home on Friday. The upside of this is that we are hopefully going to buy another house in the area he is working. That will mean he has a 'home' to go to at night, not just a room in a B&B. Hopefully we can get somewhere we can use at weekends and in the holidays too.
It is a bit overcast here today. I think we had the best of this week's weather yesterday. I took the risk and pegged out two washloads before going to work in the hope that it wouldn't rain during the day. It was all dry as a bone when I got home last night.
DS was back to school in short trousers after the Easter break. They have white polo shirts and grey shorts. They look very smart when they are clean but white? Needless to say, his polo shirt doesn't stay white very long.
I have a busy weekend ahead. DS has a football match and a tournament on Saturday and I am having lunch with a friend who is over from Paris on Sunday, all added to the OS meet on Saturday. I must make sure I bump into OH at some point! He will be thinking I don't want to spend any time with him, but these other things were all planned before he got the new job so it's just unfortunate.
Oh well, must go. W**k to do.
B: MuesliHM salad with a tin of Lidl salmon & yoghurt
T: Steak from freezer with couscous and vegetables. (After karate lesson tonight)
Have a great day everyone.

Hi...and what a glorious day it is here:D
Washing has been hung on the line and will be coming in soon. OH has cleaned the rest of the windows and DD has been doing her HW and reading to me in the garden;)
Actually managed to sit outside for 30mins which was lovely. Felt a right div as I have to wear a hat out because of the Lupus:o DD said I looked like Granny...so she is now grounded for the month...with NO pocket money:rotfl: Could of been worse I suppose....she could of said I smelt like her:eek:
DD picked some flowers from the garden and put a ribbon around them-which was lovely:D
Have an hour before we leave, so must crack on and have shower and get dressed. They are taking a ton of blood from me again....they tell me Im severely anaemic but then they take 12 bottles of blood
See ya

Trying to arrange a hospital appointment for DD when phone rang and it was another DD with instructions for when she brings a friend home at 3p.m.
Not going to hospital today as no car and I cannot be back for DDs if I take the bus.
Dad was being given his fifth pint of blood - with another 2 pints still to go and waiting for a chest x ray and result of bone marrow test.
He looked healthier before he went to hospital on Saturday!
Making vegetarian spag bol for tea and doing a quick tidy up in between phoning hospital and hanging out three loads of washing."This site is addictive!"

Good Afternoon Everyone :hello:
I havent posted in a while, so I thought I better had. Its a gorgeous day here today, Sun is out and its quite warm in the garden. Watered all the plants and veg. If it stays like this I might BBQ dinner. DS1 is off school today with it being used as a polling station. DS2 has just found the curry sauce jar in the bin, managed to open it and spill the remaining sauce down his new beige top. Kids! I've just made a mix of soda crystals up, but the 'yellow' stain, turned 'pink', that would be right for me
Thanks to Queenie for the election map, I shall be watching that with interest. I was gonna chat about it, but then i remembered the whole politics and religeon taboo
nuttyrockeress what do you think of EasiYo? I have often thought about buying it off Ideal World, but does it taste as good as they make out? DS1 & 2 both love yoghurt, would love to give them 'healthier' yoghurt.
PP and BargainRZL I thought that was really lovely yesterday that you met. I havent seen anyone on MSE who lives near me. Tell a lie, I bumped into Liverbird (Boots grabbit thread) once, but she is over Liverpool way.
Off to the shops, just to get essentials, like shoes, clothes, etc etc  That was a joke! But you never know....
Hope you all have a good day
Julie xxxI also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like youwould like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing

Hi Julie!
I love it. I have had the Greek youhurt so far and I think it's lovely and creamy. yesterday I had it with Strawberries then today i had it with grapes.
It was a little strange to start as it is so creamy but now I love it. I have natural in the fridge for tomorrow for myself and OH.
Used Berry for my first attempt and I didn't leave it long enough but FWIW it smelt delicious!!
I am going to print out the info from the yoghurt thread as I would like to make the cheaper version but haven't got round to it yet!
Having only ever bought shop bought yoghurt which to me always seems to have a sour taste the easiyo is a real plesent change!

Hi everyone!!
Oh no Oh has just rung me to say the BM is flat on its back with its legs in the air. I'm going to have buy bread from Sainsburys on my way home. Aargh!Fortunately it's less than a year old so should still be covered by the Kenwood guarantee.
Good news is that after 18 months hard slog I've passed my IT exams [these things never come easily to me and I find exams just about the most stressful thing going] and my boss has just told me that we're off for a posh lunch out next week to celebrate our success with the tender:T
Jack in the Green down at Hastings on BH Mon was absolutely fab- I loved every minute of it and I'm still buzzing!
Not a great deal of OS here although have hoovered throughout and tidied up.
Tea tonight will be bangers and mash [am trying the 88p bangers from Waitrose]
Scrubbed the carpet with stardrops last night and have to say it has greatly improved things. It was never going to get rid of all the stains- only a new carpet could do that!!
Am heading off to Guildford this weekend with my mum to stack up on birthday presents for the small person from Hawkins Bazaar. Also hoping to get into Lakeland Plastics to stock up on the yogurt making sachets as having won a yogurt maker last year I've only used it once!! I shall be thrown off the OS board if I'm not careful!!!
Regards
