 don't you just hate it when this happens?
I stripped the bed this mornnig, washed it & hung it on the line as it's such a glorious day. The duvet cover (white) has blown off the line & is now filthy dirty, so I've got to wash it again. There's me trying to be money saving & energy efficient by not using the TD

Am just polishing off the remains of last night's takeaway curry (bad girl). My company expenses allow me to claim for an evening meal if I don't get home until after 8.30pm, so at least I didn't pay for it out of my own pocket :D (Did London & back on the train yesterday - 15 hours). No matter what we order there always seems to be a pilau rice & vegetable curry leftover - perfect for lunch the next day!

Oh Lucie..yes I totally agree, it's so annoying when washing blows off the line or you drop it and it gets all mucky...but a quick wash should see it right as the mud won't have dried in. Ah well...

I overslept this morning, prised my face off the pillow to the tune of two alarm clocks going bonkers at 20 minutes to nine...so had five minutes to get dressed, feed kitties, and bomb down the road to my desk. I didn't make it...got here about five to nine so ten minutes late. There was no traffic this morning, I don't know where everyone was but I would appreciate it if they would go there every day from now on, but a bit earlier...

I'm afraid I've just had a quick skim over the thread as I'm at w*rk and trying to be discrete so apologies that I don't elaborate too much. I didn't get the job I was interviewed for...reason was exactly as I suspected, ie I gave long, waffly, pointless answers (forgot what I was talking about on a couple of occasions and had to ask for the question to be repeated!). Never mind...at least I have a job and I am not condemed to it for the rest of my life as I have hopes of returning to full-time study next year. Fingers Xed I'll be debt free by then - mortgage is already paid off, just have to get rid of some lingering credit card balances.

Bargain Rzl & PPincher, sounds like you had a giggle yesterday. Were the impressions you had of each other via MSE accurate I wonder?

It has rained non-stop today in the bit of N.Ireland I am in. It was like a power shower for a couple of hours earlier on, but is now just a bit of drizzle. Please don't tease me about the lovely sunny day it is in SE England where I used to live...SnowyOwl kicks her own bott AGAIN for moving away...

All this typing I'm doing makes it kind of obvious that I am lazing about and now w*rking, so I'll have to toddle off for now.

Have a lovely day, what's left of it.

sorry to hear you have rain snowy ......

this weather is actually making me feel abit down today - why? because the suns out its hot and i am very upset with myself because i havent lost any weight so i can put on a pair of shorts - i dont want to go and try them on, cos if they dont fit, then i will really be depressed! anyone else feel like that?

Shez...yes! I feel exactly like that. Of course I won't be in shorts in the rain, but when I go over to London I'll have to cover up, even if it's nice and warm and sunny...really can't stand myself at the moment. I was rather unwell for a while and didn't look after myself, I'm feeling lots better but I'm left with the results to sort out, and will take a while.

Don't be too hard on yourself though Shez, just chuck on something comfy, drink lots of water and enjoy the sunshine anyway.

    Afternoon all :D

I have had a lovely day out in the sunshine and met my second OS buddy in 2 days :D

It has been quite an expensive day though :o at Bexleyheath farmer's market. I gave myself a £20 budget, though, to make sure I could treat myself to some nice things :D Came home with thick-cut orange and brandy marmalade, strawberry and champagne jam (£4.75 altogether), four different goat's cheeses (£12 in total), vanilla fudge and rum and raisin fudge (£2.93 altogether). I also nearly bought a goose egg (£1.50) but they were all gone by the time I went back for one.

In the middle of all of this, I met up with ivyleaf and her OH, who also got some nice things. Her OH went home and ivyleaf and I went off for a leisurely cup of tea, followed by a potter around TK Maxx. Then we saw it - on some construction-type boarding outside a closed-down shop - we're going to get an ALDI!!!!!!! :D:D:D :j :j :j

Popped into Asda for some new socks :D and also noticed that Asda wholewheat pasta was the same price as ordinary pasta (doesn't tend to be the case elsewhere!) so I picked up some of that as well.

Second load of washing is out on the line, third one is in the machine, and I'm about to tuck into some of my yummy new cheese on some brown bread

By the way, SnowyOwl - when I met PP yesterday, she was JUST as I'd imagined her, even down to the hairdo, which I don't think PP had ever described on here :D Also her DH was exactly as I'd imagined. I don't know if she thought the same about me :D

Can't wait to meet so many others tomorrow and Saturday in Blackpool :j :j :j

Just a quick one from me today, gotta dash home from work to cook OH a ncie meal as he is dying.... dying from "man flu" aka a normal cold. poor thing. He never ever gets even a sniffle so i am compelled to pity him while he is "dying" as he delicately terms it.

Lost 6lb this week at WW so im mega chuffed. Ive finally decided to go and get a new tattoo done... im just a bit edgy about the pain. hee hee

    Post again soon.

Hiya PP, hope it went alright at the hospital!

They're putting the new Aldi where Aladdin's Cave (or "Alladin's Cave" as it's actually called! Why call a shop something you can't spell?!?!!?) used to be, at the top of Bexleyheath Broadway :D

LOL @ you saying I had a posh voice :D I just never picked up an accent from anywhere, somehow

(P.S. to everybody - I should also add, as I've been meaning to, and she's said it TWICE about me - PP was lovely too :D)
