    Hello again!

Have just got back from Florida, shattered but very happy as I got to swim withdolphins! :j We had a lovely time and well and truly celebrated our 30 years anniversary. Oh even bought me some black pearls! Now got to start the scrimping again though as we went a bit mad at the malls and outlets! Everything is sooo cheap out there! Designer tops for dd at about £4, Levis £10, t shirts £2 and as for the craft bits, so much choice, especially for scrapbooking and also so much cheaper!

Queenie - I kept thinking how much you would love the quilting sections, all those lush fat quarters to choose from!

Catowen - If you can possibly do it, book for Discovery Cove it was wonderful! They really do care about the dolphins and fishes and you will feel thoroughly spoilt there! I now want to save to take our grown up kids there next year.

Ticklemouse - It sounds like you organised a great weekend and I am sorry I missed it! Still if there is a next time maybe I will make it! I would have been off to the charity shops with jackie-O and Caterina though!

PP - Hope you are doing ok ((((hugs))))

    Mushypeas - ((((hugs))))

Ivyleaf - Thank you for your best wishes!

Off to catch up on the last 2 weeks now! and to unpack!

    Catz x

crikey you can tell all the gobby ones have gone to blackpool - thread is still only one page long :rotfl:

hugs and birthday cake to all - nothing like it to perk you up if you've had a miserable sunday :)

w8rk was unbearable - we have no air con, and our air circulation vent is broken AGAIN, so running round in unbearable heat was not particularly pleasant. was also a very slow day, and three hours felt more like 6.

tongiht i hope to get some work done on an essay, but am finding it quite hard to settle down so will see how that goes.

am off to start a thread or two because i want to pick your brains. take care, and will drop back in when i can.

    love and hugs p_d

PS if anyone is in contact with Kiwi-chick, can they please post a little update to let us know how she is getting on. if you could send her my love and best wishes, let her know she isnt forgotten, i'd appreciate it

Thanks for all your birthday wishes :j

I haven't had an OS day at all - but I figured I could have a break today ;)

Hope everyone had a great time at the meet - looking forward to hearing all about it.

Take care everyone - I'm off for a bit of b'day cake (HM by DD and DH)

    Byee

Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

In my experience these expand to fit ones have caused more damage to the walls/wood that they go against than a couple of small drill holes for the other sort
I can second this Lilibet, our expanding ones made holes about 2 inches in diameter in our walls.

    Mushypeas,I hope you're feeling less sad soon:grouphug:

Sounds like they had fun in Blackpool:beer:

Had a quiet day today, been for a walk with family to our local bluebell wood. Was beautiful, smell was gorgeous but very noisy as it is right next to junction 6 of the M5.

I loved Discovery Cove - was well worth the money though the first time I went I didnt think it was worth it but I proved myself wrong. I loved the snorkelling over the reef as well - spent most of the day doing that.

The shops are just amazing it really is disapointing when you go back shopping here in UK.

Have been Florida twice and already thinking about going again in 2008 - Im glad you have a lovely time though never met anyone who hasnt.

    Hi everyone

Big (((((hugs))))) to mushypeas hope you feel much better very soon. It hurts when people argue so I couldn't even imagine how much it hurts for you right now.

Well, we had a really lazy morning today. SS hasn't come to us this weekend, decided to go with his mum somewhere (We have him every weekend as he prefers to stay with mum in the week)

Woke to the smell of hyacinths in the kitchen (Very strong!)

So when we got up we went over to mum's for lunch, (she enjoyed the Chinese yesterday btw!)

After lunch we decided we must get in the greenhouse (even in this weather rain rain rain......) so we have potted on the chillies, peppers, corriander, sage, lettuce, also have put the horseradish, the leeks and spring onions in the garden - we are late with these this year.

So afetr a shower to clean off, I have made some more Gingerbread biscuits to take to w*** tomorrow and just have some banana bread in the oven to split between here and mum's.

Not deceided what to have for tea yet but anything will do tbh.

Have a good evening (despite the weather) - looking forward to tomorrow to see how Blackpool was

    Lynds xx

    Evening all.

Had a lovely weekend away with my mum, her friend and her daughter, we went to a spa and got pampered all weekend - was so nice not to have to worry about washing or making food or anything! Did still manage to be OS though, we all sat at the breakfast table this morning making rolls for the journey home as the sandwiches we saw in the service station on the way up were £3.89!

MushyPeas - PM me your address and I'll send you some Lush stuff to cheer you up.

    Hi everyone!

Late one today...had actually attempted to post earlier but somehow it disappeared. Aw well...

Today has been kinda boring! I didn't get up until all hours - though I had a dreadful night's sleep thanks to a gang of teenagers who were hanging around the back of the house and then around the front. This was around 11 in the evening, then again around two in the morning. How much noise can six or seven teens make? Answer = A LOT!! I'd have gone out to them but didn't fancy getting my windows pelted with stones so just gritted my teeth until they went away of their own accord. It's sad that they have nowhere to go, that the rest of us have to listen to their swearing & breaking bottles etc, and that nobody was prepared to go out and ask them to move on or quieten down (too scared to like me I suppose).

I've done a wee bit of studying today - I am such a lazy cow when it comes to the books, any excuse to avoid them. R.Mac send me some motivation please! I've also been for a nice walk - it's a forest park by the coast so lots of positive ions from the trees and the sea to help recharge and refresh my batteries.

Happy birthday to both Wanty and to StressedOutMumOf1 - I have had a massive slice of home made carrot cake to help you celebrate in style!

Mushy...I'm really sorry to hear your bad news. Please look after yourself, and be utterly selfish and cook what you want to and spend as long as you like in the bathroom. I wish I could help you decide what to do regards your house-purchase, but at least you can make your own decision on that without any compromise at all to incorporate someone else's opinion. If you do go ahead with it then you could have a proper girlie palace, done up to exactly your taste and ex-OH can go and jump while you indulge yourself. Sorry if I am being flippant, it's not meant to sound that way - you deserve to have what you want after a horrible time.

I see the young farmers in Blackpool had a lucky escape, this time anyway. The photos look fab, really wish I had been able to go. Fingers Xed I'll be meeting up with Bargain Rzl and Shez - and anybody else who'll be around - in a few weeks when I visit London (the last weekend/bank holiday and last days of May). Not that I am trying to compete with Blackpool, just taking advantage of being your side of the Irish Sea as getting to the proper OS meets is difficult for me.

Chardonnay...GOOD LUCK...that is one looooong list! Hope you don't mind me asking, but what is a tmf? (Have I unwittingly revealed one of my MSE blackspots I wonder...???)

I really should run along now and do some study....oh have an excuse...need a shower after my long walk! It was gorgeously sunny today so I got v.hot therefore need a shower more than I need to study! You may not be convinced but I am!

Cheerio everyone, and I look forward to hearing more goss from Blackpool.

    Bye.

    Hi all :hello:

    Big hugs to mushypeas ((((((((((((((((mushypeas))))))))))))))))))

It looks like those people who went to Blackpool had a fab time. It's just a shame that I couldn't make it. :(

On the plus side, I had a very relaxing time at my pamper day. A lovely facial, a VERY relaxing session in the jacuzzi and steam room, a gorgeous back massage and my nails now look beautiful! If only I could do it every weekend..............

It was then up to my parents. We arrived at church this morning 1 min late, and managed to hear our banns of marriage being read. Phew! :) And the invitations for our wedding got written at long last! Only 12 stamps though, so only 12 of them posted today....................

I'm in school tomorrow and SATS start for my class at 9.15am. I've also got a meeting with a parent about their child who seems to be having "problems" with their behaviour. Tomorrow night, OH and I are back up to Lincs in preparation for my Grandpa's funeral on Tuesday.

I'll report back when I can!

    Take care everyone.
