Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

    Hi Everyone,

I've been copying Zed42 and wnet to the Severn valley railway to see Thomas with my son, and OH. Had a really enjoyable day. Got home and dismantled son's cotbed into a junior bed, and fingers crossed so far he has stayed there!

    Best Wishes

Blimey, you've all had dead exciting weekends & I've done ...er...nowt really!

(((hugs))) to Mushypeas - only cliches are any good at a time like this & you're probably fed up to the back teeth of hearing them. We're all feeling for you.

I'm gutted that I didn't make it to Blackpool yesterday, but everything conspired against me (time, mostly). The biggest contributing factor was not waking up til 10am , I was planning to have done a load of jobs by then but it just wasn't to be. Next time.......

The highlight of my weekend so far was (drum roll please) having a bath! Yes, the bathroom is all finished (bar the painting). You can see it here

Had a good OS day today & made a mega batch of C-Q's curry sauce for the freezer, as well as cooking a huge chicken for sarnies/dinners this week. I made sweet & sour chicken for dinner, with a spare portion for the freezer too. Not had a meal plan for a couple of weeks, so feel v :A

hope you all have a lovely start to the week tomorrow, take care

Yay Lucie!! That bath looks FANTASTIC!! Lots and lots of room in it so you can have a good old spash around without bits sticking out and getting cold, ha ha!! It's one of those posh ones with jets like a jacuzzi sort of thing isn't it. I am madly jealous....

Cheers peeps, it is nice to finally have a bath that you can fit all of your body in at once (& I'm only 5'2"). The old one was fitted by the builders, who of course get away with putting in the smallest, cheapest, c**pest option possible.
The jacuzzi was a bit of an extravagance, but so what, it's all paid for, not on credit so who cares? (yes, before you ask, of course I haggled on price)

    Evening everyone

Thank you for all your hugs; you have no idea how much they mean to me, if they are cyber ones. Thank you very, very much. I hope you don’t mind if I don’t thank you all individually, but once the thanks buttons come back I will!

Well, ex sent me an email this afternoon to say how sorry he is for hurting me. Doesn’t make the pain go away though…after all this I still just want him to phone me up and say it’s a big horrible joke. After crying for nearly two days my new strategy is to pretend it hasn’t happened. Work (where he also works) will be hard tomorrow, but he isn’t due in till later in the week, when I’ll be off.

Sarahmelita – thank you for such a kind offer, how did you know lush is my favourite place J Reminds me of when I used to work near Covent Garden. I hope it is still ok, but have PMd you. Thank you :grouphug:

Hi SnowyOwl, sorry to hear about your late night. I like the idea of making my house girly J I just wish it wasn’t opposite where he lives L. My heart is still drawn to the location, but I’m not sure whether it can take the pain of bumping into him :undecided . Maybe, once marked, I should send you my motivation essay for your studying?! Funnily enough I haven’t done any this weekend…

Anyway Lucie has inspired me, one day I will have my own place and maybe a fab bathroom like hers!

My OS achievement of the day has been to sort through my bathroom cabinet, bathroom ‘emergency’ box (it was a huuuge box) and my medicine drawer. It was very un-OS to discover I had to throw some medicine out as it was out of date, some not even opened! I must have bought them ‘just incase’. I won’t do that again! I now have lots of neat rows of toiletries to use up…it is going to take a while. Well, if I move, it will be less to move.

Looking forward to hearing about Blackpool.

Thanks again for your support today everyone. I don’t feel so alone. You are all :A

    Hello eveybody,

Got back from our weekend away yesterday arv. It was nice to catch up with the boys. Just catching up with the posts now. I could start the thread every morning here as it's Monday morning here at 7.45am but I feel a bit funny about doing it. :p Looks the OS crew had a fab weekend away and just caught up with the pics.

Mushy Peas Look after yourself hun, and try and keep a bit upbeat.

Lucie Loved the bath. I love having soaks in winter.

I better start the day. Have loads to do. Washing, cleaning & such like. I'm putting some corn meat on in a min for tea. Will have it with white sauce & mashed veg. Have a good nights sleep. ;)
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

MushyPeas - good for you for having a good cry and letting as much out as you possibly can. It'll be horrible for you tomorrow, but try and be brave. I have to mention I've been through the exact same thing, ie a long relationship with a colleague, just to be dumped. There wasn't anybody at work who didn't know about it and while I was in emotional shreds I just said I wasn't that bothered and changed the subject.

Regards your new house...are you in a position to put off making a decision about it for a while? At the moment you'll be v.raw which isn't a great way to be when making possibly the biggest financial decision you'll ever have to make. If you do decide to live opposite him then when you get a new partner he'll know all about it...and vice versa...it's a painful thought but worth considering what that might feel like. Maybe better to not leave that possibility open perhaps?? Sorry if this is upsetting you...big hug to you, in the longer term you will be fine, these first few hours, days and weeks are millstone, but you will feel better in time.

Thanks for your offer of reading your essay...I need a [STRIKE]proverbial[/STRIKE] proper kick up the posterior as I have done no study at all since my last post!
