'Morning everyone
Where did the weekend go!
Got a big batch of cooking done for freezer. OH made goulash and some lovely egg custards (the latter not meant for the freezer). I managed some vegetable soup, curried carrot and corriander soup and some bolognese.
More HM bread rolls now residing in the freezer (I love these as I can just get one out of the freezer each morning and they are thawed out when lunch time comes around). They go well with the HM soup.
Breakfast: oats, fruit & yoghurt with a glass of orange juice.
Lunch: HM soup and HM roll
Dinner: Goulash and green veg (plus the last egg custard)
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Good morning everybody!
Hope you are all as good as can be for a Monday morning.
MushyPeas - if you get a chance to look in here before w*** best of luck for today. Keep your chin up and smile as much as you possibly can.
Elona - how are things going?
I'm up bright and early having had a patchy night's sleep - only reason is that I was so lazy yesterday I didn't do enough to make myself tired. Now if I had gone to Blackpool I would be in bed snoring my little head off dreaming of The Grand National and the 2000 young farmers who got away...I am definitely going to the next OS meeting!
Happy Moansday everyone!

happy monday all:hello:
I am back from Centerparcs - had a great time! loads of swimming with the kiddies, down the rapids, slides etc, lovely bike rides in the forest.
DS1 and his friend went on the mountain bike trek - his trousers could stand up by themselves with all the mud on them!!! and they looked pretty shattered, which I had a good laugh at!!:rotfl:
still they enjoyed themselves.
Its so nice to get away, change of scenery, and now back to all the washing today!
SO whats been happening on this thread, have we heard how its going in OS Blackpool?0 -

Hi SnowyOwl, thanks for your post. I can't imagine how awful it was for you to go through the same thing. I've split up with people before, but never felt this devastated.
Thanks for your advice about the house, exchange of contracts are due this weekIt is a small place I'm moving to and I'm bound to bump into him, but then I guess I could bump into him anywhere. But I am so in love with this part of the world, I don't think I want to give it up. I'm worried that if I do move there, it could be either the greatest mistake of my life, or the most fantastic thing I have ever done! Dilema
Have a good day, see you on today's thread.

Good morning
Hope the wanderers had a lovely weekend in sunny Blackpool
PP - hope it is ok this afternoon
Best wishes to all with exams, tests etc
Weather's not very nice at the moment - sort of trying to rain, not too sure how well it's succeeding. I have some washing done & ready to go out, so am hoping it will improve.
Today's task must be to tackle the conservatory, which is really in need of a good clean up, as it has been used as a general dumping ground & washing sorting room. hmmm.....
I have won a Morphy Richards fastbake bread machine on ebay, so am going to be looking at the breadmaking threads on here later on. This will be my 3rd bread maker. The 1st was a 2nd hand Hinari, which was brilliant. But I used it so much & wore it out! Then my MIL gave me the one she had been bought, but hated. It was also a Hinari & looked almost the same as my one, so I thought it would be good, too. How wrong can you get? It was dreadful! It is only good for using to make the dough, fine for rolls & pizzas, but the loaves it makes are terrible. It's a pity you can't borrow breadmakers from the shop for a day or so & make a loaf to try before you buy! Anyway, I am hoping this one will be better.
Have a good day:hello:0 -
Morning! and (((hugs))) to those that need one.
Think I am over the jet lag now (fingers crossed) oh has taken today off work just in case and we have some shopping to do, need some fresh food in. From today we are back to Ol style mse'ing (had a take away last night) so I need to do a menu plan! Also diets as we ate far too many burgers in the usa so need to plan a diet as well.
My mortgage pig turned up while we were away so that is now sitting in the kitchen ready to be fed.
Now to tackle that washing/ironing pile which is surely the worst thing to deal with at the end of a holiday!
Breakfast - muesli and apple juice
Lunch - tuna salad
Dinner - might be kedgaree as have a fair bit of smoked haddock in the freezer
Off to find menu plan ideas! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
