Still havnt spoken to her, but thats not a bad thing, we have rowed before, and the best thing for both of us is to leave it for a couple of weeks, so we can both calm down. As we are going on holiday a week Saturday, it will be a good excuss to ring to say goodbye if i havnt heard from her beforehand!!!

    Morning everyone :hello:

Just a quick one as I have a house and garden full of kids. Haven't had tome to read anything - apart from caught a glimpse of congrats to rchddap and had to go see - congrats to you, hun :T

I was just going to potter around the house today whilst the boys played outside as it's such a nice day. Boys went to make a tree-house (aka den made from bits and bobs) but they have ended up with 5 pots of kiddies paint - most of which ended up on DS2 - I have had to stick him in the bath and degunk purple paint from out of his ears and up his nose :rotfl: And the house? Well, my lovely clean back door is varying shades of purple handprints and I can see a huge stain on my decking which I shall tend to asap!

Other than that, I have the BM on, WM will go on after I've hung out the load that is in there and I shall persuade DS1 that cottage pie WILL be a goood idea for tea :D

Best go and wash away the paint slick from my back garden :( Have a good one and ((hugs)) to anyone who needs one - I'll catch up with reading the thread later.

    Morning All (just)

congrats to rchddap on your pregnancy.
CatowenI'm sure you'll all still have an amazing time on your holiday.
TM Sounds like your going to have an eventful half term.

The pic's looked like all those who met on Sunady had a great time.

Well I've got WM on 3rd load, dishers done and tesco shop put away. Don't know what I was thinking when I did shopping list has come and there's hardly a meal there. Though always find it hard to plan meals when I'm working and OH doing overtime, as I work odd hours. Try to use the slow cooker but OH says he doesnt like the food out of it .

DS and DD are both installed in front of the TV, have tried to engage them in making some fathers day prezzies, I know its 2wks away but I'm trying to get them making coasters in the shape of their feet and hands for their dads outr of salt dough and as these have to be sent I need all the time available. Though both are refusing to move:eek:    .

    Breakfast: Frosties
    Lunch: Crumpet Pizzas
Dinnner: MIL feeding DS/Dd as I'm in work, Salad for me

    :T :T :T Congratulations Rchddap1 - wonderful news!

Catowen - sorry news from consultant wasn't so good, try to have a lovely time anyway. I too couldn't go on any of the faster rides as it would have made my symptoms much worse - it definately wasn't the disney holiday I had always imagined it would be!:( But we still had a laugh and went on the gentle rides (small world) etc., and had a lot of fun despite the problems. Hope you manage to sort things out with your Mum soon, I used to feel at times like I was :wall: banging my head against a wall with my Mum but boy do I miss her now!

Taplady - thinking of you too! (((hugs)))

Well really pleased as I managed a fair bit of cooking yesterday and my friend managed to eat some of it - she has a lot of health problems and as a result of several ops cannot manage to eat much at all! Really feel a sense of achievement if she manages to eat something I have made.

Only 4 more sleeps till I go on holiday (again:o ) so have to finish packing - not so easy as only allowed 15kg this time as last minute holiday booking. What to leave out?

    Take care!

My post editor is malfunctioning as per usual, so forgive the sprawling paragraph! Also v. busy at work - big deadline tomorrow - so this will be quick! But just wanted to say congrats to rchddap1, LOL at TM's DS2, and thanks to CQ for the buttered SC chicken recipe on the recipe index as I cooked it yesterday and it was fab  Catowen - sorry you didn't get the news you wanted - I bet you'll still have an OK time though. Who knows, you might find yourself hooking up with another family who are there at the same time, who could accompany your kids on the rides... Right, loads of work to do so must dash - bye bye!

Blimey is it just me or is it quiet on here today?

I have had a very productive morning :j 1 batch of dishes washed, DD washed/dressed and after 30 minutes her hair was done as well  (why couldn't the IL's manage to platt her hair? It's not as if it's that long, its only to her shoulders :mad: . Livingroom now looks like a livingroom as almost everything is away where it should be (including tidying up the understairs cupboard:eek: ) , apart from the ironing piles, 1 basket of towels awaiting the wash and a box OH is supposed to be taking into work ( ). Bedrooms are tidy (DD's bed changed again, only changed it on Sunday!) and the washing machine is on it's 3 wash :j 2 more loads of clothing waiting on the floor in the kitchen as well as more dishes (mostly pans) waiting to be washed by the sink. As for DD she hasn't caused any problems today, she has sat infront of Cbeebies resting (she did do a 7 mile hike on Sunday  ) and if it wasn't for the regular "I'm hungry", "can I have a drink?" requests from her I wouldn't even know she was here for a change :D

Right, off to put the underwear in the airing cupboard (won't fit on the washing line!) and then batch number two of the dishes can be done.

    hiya,

busy day today. dp is at our new flat waiting on the electricity peeps and some workmen. think he is getting on with some decorating while down there.

my little bruv is coming to stay for a few days to help in the final push to get this house ready to go on the market.

dp managed to get some painting done outside here today as the rain had stopped for first time in ages. i've got the washing out and just need to tidy the house and get on with some diy.

our old car is being collected today by scrappy and we are getting £60.

not 100% today but never mind

tip for the fake tanners, exfoliate, moisturise and then apply fake tan.

use a hm scrub or superdrugs evening primrose or vit e scrubs are cheap and very good. pay attention to knees & ankles.

if you are using these holiday skin products you can skip the moisturiser.

only apply liberally to knees & ankles to avoid the colour pooling there.

    hth

    luv chardonnay

AAARRRGGGHHHHHH - Anyone licensed to shoot boys - and not my own either

I thought I was being good, letting them all play in my back garden - kept them quiet, safe etc etc. I even said they could nail a sign into my lovely cherry blossom tree cos they gave the "tree house" a name. And they could happily climb about 3 feet off the ground where the trunk split into 2 branches. All was going well until I saw a couple of the older ones sitting in the top of the tree hammering hell out of it. On closer investigation (and after the boys had scarpered cos some banshee had screamed at them out of the bedroom window :D) I find the middle of my tree has been broken down and the largest branch has had its bark completely stripped for about 12 inches - 1 dead centre of the tree then  I could weep I'm so mad cos it was a beautiful tree that all the neighbours loved. It WAS a fantastic shape and was sooo pretty. Not any more. :(

And of course, all the boys are blaming each other - which I don't really care about cos the damage is done. So, feel free to come game hunting up my road. The main culprit has very long hair, no manners, no respect and comes from a wealthy family, funnily enough. Bet daddy won't cough up anything to get the tree sorted though, will he

(Mind you, he'd have to take his head out from up his !!!!!! to look anyway ;))

Rant over - I still don't feel any better but I'll go and shout at the lads some more :D My 2 are being good as gold - for a change :D:D

    Well i'm still procrastinating.

The morning started well, with me having gone to the Drs and bank, and home again before 10. I then did about an hour and a half of marking, and then i started emptying out the boxes of stuff i picked up from my mums the other day. I found a stack of letters from my sixth form and university days. So naturally i then had to read them, and giggle at how immature i was when i obviously thought i was really grown up. I then had to email the people the letters were from, to say, do you remember when...?

Oh well, best make another cuppa and get on with it.

Great to hear your news Rchddap. Congratulations. you can join my club. Me and little 'pud' keep finding more and more people in the same boat. When is your baby due? Sorry for being nosy - but it's lovely news for an uplifting change on the thread after ill relatives and people being under the weather. Makes the world seem a nicer place.

TM the thought of your boys making the house a mess is showing me exactly what i've got to come. It might be a few years off yet, but i think i would be a lot less calm and forgiving than you seem to be. I'd be ready for wringing a little neck or two. Kids will be kids. edit - oops, after reading your 2nd post, i could be round with a gun in about an hour and a half. Little vandals eh. At least it's not your two, but then again sounds like they wouldn't do that anyway at someone else's house.

Nicki lovely to see you around today. Yes it is a bit quiet.

Oh well - i will probably be back again in a couple of hours but i really need to pick up my ticking pen.

    Michelle xx
